What strikes me more than anything today is the amount of negativity everywhere I look, the antagonism and self-righteousness, which culminate in handing Big Tech the power to determine our own personal liberty. Not a Constitution, or even a law, not a judge or a court, but large corporations.

The problem with that is you’re not going to get it back. Be very careful what you wish for.

India and ivermectin.

An Unlikely Nation Is Kicking This Pandemic. Guess Which. Then Why. (TS)

Ten months into its battle with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, India is on track to become an unexpected warrior in the fight against this global pandemic. Although the densely populated nation has four times the population of the U.S., India has less than half the U.S. COVID deaths. And India isn’t just beating the poorly performing U.S. In all, 98 nations have higher death rates than India. It may be tempting to attribute this startling news to imperfect data from a developing country. But doctors in India, Indian press reports, and even the Wall Street Journal have taken note of a sea change in COVID there. “In September, India was reporting almost 100,000 COVID-19 cases a day, with many predicting it would soon pass the U.S. in overall cases,” the WSJ wrote on Dec. 30. “Instead, its infections dropped and are now at one-fourth that level.”

Dr. Anil K. Chaurasia, a physician in Lucknow, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, watched this trend unfold. Starting about mid-September, “a clear decline in COVID cases and fatalities in India was noticeable,” he told me in a text message. The “steep decline in cases and fatalities is still continuing.” Like a lot of western reporting, the WSJ article held fast to an accepted COVID theme. The Indian miracle was due to masks, it asserted, since they are worn by 88 to 95 percent of a population “bombarded” with public-service reminders. The article cited German research that showed masks work. Fair enough. However, many factors are likely at play in India, including its painful yet supported national shutdown and individual state efforts at contact tracing and testing. But a pivotal role in any illness is surely the availability of treatments to resolve illness before crisis.

Late last March, as the U.S. argued over the merits of Trump-endorsed hydroxychloroquine and studies failed in late-stage patients, India decided to recommend the drug in its national guidelines. HCQ “should be used as early in the disease course as possible…and should be avoided in patients with severe disease,” the directives wisely state. As a precaution, authorities suggested an EKG to monitor for a rare heart arrhythmia that several COVID studies have since shown to be minimal. But a crucial turn for India may have come in August when the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh recommended use of another drug: Ivermectin, which is coming on fast as a leading COVID treatment — without the baggage of at-turns effective but vilified hydroxychloroquine.

This was no small move. Were it a country, U.P.’s more than 230 million citizens would rank it fifth worldwide. As India’s largest state, its embrace of ivermectin may have changed the treatment landscape across India. “This authentication of ivermectin revived the faith of people,” Dr. Chaurasia told me, “and net result was a massive inclination to take these drugs” — both ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. By the end of 2020, Uttar Pradesh — which distributed free ivermectin for home care — had the second-lowest fatality rate in India at 0.26 per 100,000 residents in December. Only the state of Bihar, with 128 million residents, was lower, and it, too, recommends ivermectin.

But Uttar Pradesh did more than treat 300,000 mild cases at home through 2020; it also opted to use ivermectin to prevent infection. It seems a young health officer’s COVID response teams had taken the drug and remained well – something prophylaxis studies support. U.P. then had contacts of COVID patients take it, with similar success. “Recognizing the sense of urgency,” Amit Mohan Prasad, a U.P. health official, wrote in a Dec. 30 article, “we decided to go ahead.”

Covid-19 Forces Swedish Hospitals To Delay ‘Necessary Surgery’ (Local)

Hospitals across Sweden are now postponing urgent operations to make room for coronavirus patients, a survey by Sweden’s state broadcaster SR has found. Every one of the country’s 21 regional healthcare authorities reported being in a “strained” or “very strained” situation, with the regions of Jönköping and Uppsala telling SR that they were having to postpone urgent operations on cancer or heart patients. “It may actually be cancer surgery that has to wait for a bit right now,” Uppsala’s health and medical care director, Mikael Köhler, told the broadcaster. “We need to do everything we can to prevent harm that could have been avoided, and, in the long run, deaths. We really shouldn’t end up in that kind of situation, but we are starting to get close to it.”

Jönköping, like Uppsala, said that it was delaying urgent cancer surgery and heart operations, with the region’s medical director Mats Bojestig telling SR that it plans to trigger the crisis clause agreed with unions which will allow it to increase health personnel’s working hours. “This feels absolutely necessary if we’re going to be able to carry out more operations than before, because otherwise we think local residents are going to harmed,” he said. Uppsala has already triggered the crisis clause. In Skåne, urgent operations have had to be moved between hospitals, delaying procedures.

Rapid Covid Testing Across England Will Help Identify Symptomless Carriers (G.)

Rapid testing to find symptomless carriers of Covid-19 is to be launched in England this week. The aim of the programme is to identify some of the tens of thousands of infected people who are unwittingly spreading the virus across the country. The dramatic escalation of the programme – which uses detectors known as lateral flow devices – comes as Covid death rates have continued to soar and hospitals have reported alarming numbers of patients needing intensive care. On Saturday it was revealed a further 1,035 Covid deaths had occurred in the UK, bringing the nation’s total to 80,868. In addition, the daily number of those testing positive increased by 59,937.

Under the new, expanded testing scheme, local authorities will be encouraged to identify more positive cases of Covid and ensure those who are infected isolate. The use of lateral flow devices, which can confirm if a person is infected in under 30 minutes, will allow quick detection of infected individuals at test centres. Lateral-flow devices are accurate at pinpointing infected individuals but have been criticised for generating large numbers of false negatives. Nevertheless, many experts have welcomed the expansion of the testing programme, which 131 local authorities have already agreed to implement. Professor Adam Finn, of Bristol University, described the expanded programme as a vitally important measure. “Added to the measures already in place, this provides an important new tool to help to reduce the rapid rise in cases that is paralysing in our country,” he added.

Professor Lawrence Young of Warwick Medical School agreed. “This is good news. Testing individuals during the current lockdown will help to restrict the spread of infection as long as we ensure folk who test positive appropriately isolate and their contacts are traced and also isolate.” Other scientists were more cautious. “Here, In Liverpool, a trial using lateral flow tests had a good uptake: 25% of the population were tested and 900 cases identified,” said Tom Wingfield, of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. “However, an interim report later showed this testing missed 60% of cases and provided no clear evidence the strategy led to a reduction of cases.

“The real power in the Assange case is Lady Emma Arbuthnot, forced out of a visible role because of very compromising, direct ties she and her husband Lord Arbuthnot maintain with British intelligence and military..”

Assange Saga – Real Journalism Is Criminally Insane (Escobar)

The invaluable Craig Murray, from inside Westminster Magistrates Court No. 1 in London, meticulously presented the full contours of the insanity this Wednesday. Read it in conjunction with the positively terrifying judgment delivered on Monday in the United States government case against Julian Assange. The defining issue, for all those who practice real journalism all across the world, is that the judgment affirms, conclusively, that any journalist can be prosecuted under the US Espionage Act. Since a 1961 amendment, the Espionage Act carries universal jurisdiction. The great John Pilger memorably describes “judge” Vanessa Baraitser as “that Gothic woman”. She is in fact an obscure public servant, not a jurist. Her judgment walks and talks like it was written by a mediocre rookie hack. Or, better yet, entirely lifted from the US Department of Justice indictment.

Julian Assange was – at the last minute – discharged on theoretically humanitarian grounds. So the case had, in effect, ended. Not really. Two days later, he was sent back to Belmarsh, a squalid maximum security prison rife with Covid-19. So the case is ongoing. WikiLeaks editor Kristinn Hrafnnson correctly noted, “It is unjust and unfair and illogical when you consider her ruling of two days ago about Julian’s health in large part because he is in Belmarsh prison (…) To send him back there doesn’t make any sense.” It does when one considers the real role of Baraitser – at a loss to juggle between the imperatives of the imperial agenda and the necessity of saving the face of British justice.

Baraitser is a mere, lowly foot soldier punching way above her weight. The real power in the Assange case is Lady Emma Arbuthnot, forced out of a visible role because of very compromising, direct ties she and her husband Lord Arbuthnot maintain with British intelligence and military, first revealed by – who else – WikiLeaks. It was Arbuthnot who picked up obscure Baraitser – who dutifully follows her road map. In court, as Murray has detailed in a series of searing reports, Baraitser essentially covers her incompetence with glaring vindictiveness. Baraitser discharged Julian Assange, according to her own reasoning, because she was not convinced the appalling American gulag would prevent him from committing suicide.

But the key issue is that before reaching this conclusion, she agreed and reinforced virtually every point of the US indictment. So at this point, on Monday, the “Gothic woman” was performing a contortion to save the US from the profound global embarrassment of prosecuting a de facto journalist and publisher for revealing imperial war crimes, not United States government secrets. Two days later, the full picture became crystal clear. There was nothing “humanitarian” about that judgment. Political dissent was equaled with mental illness. Julian Assange was branded as criminally insane. Once again, practicing journalism was criminalized.

“..exploding the myths that maintained US hegemony, both at home and abroad.”

The American Empire Has Fallen, Though Washington May Not Know It Yet (Malic)

[..] here’s Ishan Tharoor, a columnist for the notoriously pro-establishment Washington Post, declaring on Thursday that for “many abroad,” the vision of the US as a shining city on a hill with global moral influence and authority “has already died a thousand deaths.” For some of these people, Tharoor argued, this narrative was “always an illusion to obscure the Washington-engineered coups and client military regimes.” Indeed. Democrats and their neocon allies have spent the past four years blaming Trump’s ‘America First’ policy, lamenting that he was acting unilaterally, antagonizing “allies” and creating a “leadership vacuum” in the world. Those are the talking points of the incoming administration as well.

Except they’ve clearly forgotten the events of January 2020, when Trump ordered the drone assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. There were no protests from US “allies” – or should we say vassals? Instead, they fell in line with amazing alacrity. Trump actually embraced the American Empire, he simply dispensed with the polite fictions it had used to dress up as something else over the years. Ironically, it was the mobilization of the entire US political establishment to get rid of Trump – starting with ‘Russiagate’ and the impeachment circus over the phone call to Ukraine, with nationwide riots about “racial justice” and the politically weaponized coronavirus lockdowns along the way – that did the lion’s share of exploding the myths that maintained US hegemony, both at home and abroad.

Remember the ‘Deep State’ that was supposedly a Trumpian conspiracy theory? Yet its existence was confirmed in the impeachment hearings, a former CIA director openly praised it, and the eventual revelations of a FBI plot to frame General Flynn removed any vestiges of doubt. The mainstream media’s war on Trump, later joined by social media platforms – censorship of the legitimate and accurate Hunter Biden laptop story just before the election being just the most egregious example – also played out for the world to see. In the end, they banned Trump from every social media platform while he was still in office, even as he said he would leave peacefully.

Parler was at no. 1 in the AppStore.

Parler Kicked Off Amazon Servers And Apple Store (JTN)

Parler’s chief executive said Saturday night that the social media app was suspended from Apple’s store and will be thrown off Amazon’s servers in a standoff over censoring content. CEO John Matze said Parler would not bend to Apple’s demands for increased surveillance and moderation of content and was exploring “many options.” He said the decision by Amazon could result in a weeklong interruption of it service. “Sunday (tomorrow) at midnight Amazon will be shutting off all of our servers in an attempt to completely remove free speech off the internet. There is the possibility Parler will be unavailable on the internet for up to a week as we rebuild from scratch,” he said.

“This was a coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the marketplace. We were too successful too fast. You can expect the war on competition and free speech to continue, but don’t count us out,” Matze added. The dual announcements came a day after Google kicked Parler out of its App Store. “Apple will be banning Parler until we give up free speech, institute broad and invasive policies like Twitter and Facebook and we become a surveillance platform by pursuing guilt of those who use Parler before innocence,” Matze said in a statement posted on the platform. “They claim it is due to violence on the platform. The community disagrees as we hit number 1 on their store today.”

Matze accused Apple of a double standard by allowing Twitter to have its users post offensive content while shutting down Parler. ”The same day ‘Hang Mike Pence,’ a disgusting violent suggestion, was trending nationally on Twitter. Displaying the horrible double standard Apple and their big tech pack apply to the community,” he said. “Apple, a software monopoly, provides no alternatives to installing apps on your phone other then their store. We do not own our phones, Apple simply rents them to us.

“The shocking rampage on Wednesday was the culmination of years of political and ideological polarization fueled by social media platforms, primarily Facebook.”

Elon Musk Blames Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg For Capitol Riot (Ob.)

In times of social crises in America, big tech billionaires are often amongst the first to speak up—though how they do so varies. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, unlike many of his peers, didn’t directly speak about the riot that erupted in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday afternoon. But the second-richest man in the world did make it clear that he was watching the news and indeed had a strong opinion about the surreal events that transpired at the U.S. Capitol. Late Wednesday night, after police had cleared protestors from the Capital ground to allow Congress to resume vote counting and certifying election results, Musk tweeted a meme showing bricks lining up like dominoes.

The smallest front brick was labeled “a website to rate women on campus”—a reference to the early version of Facebook—and the largest tile in the back was superimposed with a tweet by The New York Times Magazine correspondent Mark Leibovich that read: “The Capitol seems to be under the control of a man in a viking hat.” His message was clear: The shocking rampage on Wednesday was the culmination of years of political and ideological polarization fueled by social media platforms, primarily Facebook. “This is called the domino effect,” Musk tweeted alongside the meme. It’s not the first time the Tesla CEO openly expressed his dislike for Facebook. In February, he called Facebook “lame” in a tweet and urged people to delete their accounts. Three months later, he tweeted “Facebook sucks” after the company’s artificial intelligence lead criticized his lack of knowledge about A.I.

Big Short’s Michael Burry: Tesla Will Collapse Like The Housing Bubble (BI)

Michael Burry, the investor whose billion-dollar bet against the US housing market was immortalized in Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short,” predicted that Tesla stock would suffer a similar downfall. “Well, my last Big Short got bigger and bigger and BIGGER too,” Burry tweeted on Thursday. Tesla’s stock price jumped 8% that day alone, adding $60 billion to its market capitalization – equivalent to “1 GM, 2 Hersheys, 3 Etsys, 4 Dominos, 10 Vornados,” he continued. “Enjoy it while it lasts,” the Scion Asset Management founder and boss added. Burry disclosed in December that he was shorting Tesla, and he called for CEO Elon Musk to capitalize on his electric-vehicle company’s “current ridiculous price” by issuing shares.

“Sell that #TeslaSouffle,” he added. Tesla stock skyrocketed about 740% in 2020 and has climbed 16% already this year, granting the automaker a bigger market cap than Facebook and making Musk the richest man in the world. [..] Burry was almost universally dismissed when he predicted that the housing bubble would burst and began snapping up credit-default swaps on subprime-mortgage bonds in May 2005. He weathered immense pressure from investors to return their money. A wave of mortgage defaults eventually tanked the housing market in 2007, and Burry personally raked in $100 million and made $750 million in profits for his investors.

Bee-Killing Pesticide Banned By EU Can Be Used In England (G.)

A pesticide believed to kill bees has been authorised for use in England despite an EU-wide ban two years ago and an explicit government pledge to keep the restrictions. Following lobbying from the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) and British Sugar, a product containing the neonicotinoid thiamethoxam was sanctioned for emergency use on sugar beet seeds this year because of the threat posed by a virus. Conservationists have described the decision as regressive and called for safeguards to prevent the pollution of rivers with rainwater containing the chemical at a time when British insects are in serious decline.

The decision by 11 countries to allow emergency use of the product comes amid a growing awareness of the harmful role played by refined sugar in the development of long-term health problems. Matt Shardlow, the chief executive of the invertebrate conservation group Buglife, said it was an “environmentally regressive” decision that would destroy wildflowers and add to an “onslaught” on insects. “In addition, no action is proposed to prevent the pollution of rivers with insecticides applied to sugar beet,” he said. “Nothing has changed scientifically since the decision to ban neonics from use on sugar beet in 2018. They are still going to harm the environment.”

Michael Sly, the chairman of the NFU sugar board, said he was relieved the application had been granted and that the sector was working to find long-term solutions to virus yellows disease. “Any treatment will be used in a limited and controlled way on sugar beet, a non-flowering crop, and only when the scientific threshold has been independently judged to have been met,” he said. “Virus yellows disease is having an unprecedented impact on Britain’s sugar beet crop, with some growers experiencing yield losses of up to 80%, and this authorisation is desperately needed to fight this disease. It will be crucial in ensuring that Britain’s sugar beet growers continue to have viable farm businesses.”

Elon Musk must be feeling the heat, waxing sanctimonious like that.

    ^&*

Some hope has been expressed here and there, going back to at least the 2003 invasion of Iraq, that our hired killer minions — the military — will step in at the last hour and preserve the Republic. Something to do with them swearing an oath to defend the Constitution.

I flirted with these notions a time or two at first. But it’s illogical to expect persons willing to destroy the constitution of foreign nations, for specious reasons, to defend ours.

    %^&

Now that we know the Republic is officially over, maybe we can talk about stuff like energy and climate.

China rations electricity for millions – “The whole city was dark”

    “By Vivian Wang
    21 December 2020

(The New York Times) – In the city of Yiwu in eastern China, the authorities turned off streetlights for several days and ordered factories to open only part-time. In coastal Wenzhou, the government ordered some companies not to heat their offices unless temperatures are close to freezing. In southern Hunan Province, workers have reported climbing dozens of flights of stairs after elevators were shut down.

“Large swaths of China are scrambling to restrict electricity use this winter, as the country’s rapid economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and unexpectedly frigid temperatures have sent demand for power surging. Officials in at least three provinces — where a total of more than 150 million people live — have issued orders limiting energy use, warning of potential coal shortages.”

Maybe our grandchildren will enjoy the excitement of climbing the Empire State Building. The bolder from the outside, most via a tangle of stairs probably requiring a map or at least tourist signs

Not that covid/healthcare aren’t still pressing concerns. Setting aside sometimes hysterical but not unjustified paranoia about covid as an excuse to take things away from us, I’ll offer these two graphs courtesy Charles Hugh Smith to show why I say processes processes processes rule the game:

    Docors/Admin 1

    Doctors/Admin 2

Yes, and if they had the slightest inclination toward health, they would have done something. They do not. They did not.
Did they remove these excess administrators to get funds for Covid? No. I thought that’s why they closed every hospital: to consolidate and economize. If you have this many admins you may as well have a hospital in every town with 5 beds.
Did they re-train these smart people to provide care? No.
Did they do any pre-health, gyms, outdoor vitamin D? No. they outlawed it.
Did they open all the hospitals they closed recently? No. They are functional, and completely empty.
Did they pay-incentive to hire retired nurses and nurses who left because of problems 1-4? No. There is no incentive to get workers.
Surely they got a vaccine going? No. They cannot figure out how to give a routine shot, both for problems 1-5, and also because the state made it illegal, or in NY at least.
Then they called the National Guard, like last time, and got the Hospital Ships? No. No one bothered. No one cares.

Gee, sounds to me like you don’t have a health problem at all. You have a political problem. And in keeping with new TAE getting back-to-roots, that’s exactly what Foss used to say: You don’t have a money crisis. You may not even have an oil problem. You have a political will problem. The bureaucracy doesn’t WANT to provide anything. They want you to die. Or what other “therefore” conclusion could you possibly draw from 1-7? They are all entirely, exclusively voluntary. They are all predictable, and all over the objections of everyone, including the dumbest, most uneducated observers. Like me.

em>“Rapid testing to find symptomless carriers of Covid-19 is to be launched in England this week.”

The minute of the hour is even or odd: do symptomless cases infect others, or so I have to wait 60 seconds? Don’t worry: if I wait another minute, Fauci will claim that they do again.

The real reason is to a) sell tests b) sell fear c) get everyone under house arrest during a violent and inevitable economic reset / debt / oil collapse.

…If some how, some way, that wasn’t blindingly, embarrassingly obvious to everyone.

Why would they need to know? No one’s getting sick. They can’t even tell. Symptomless people are inert. According to officials, they also have no therapy and no cure and the vaccine won’t stop it or protect you. This isn’t Herr Docktor saying this, it’s their own press releases. So, even if it killed you in an hour, why would you need to know?

“ The American Empire Has Fallen, Though Washington May Not Know It Yet (Malic)”

If that’s the case, “America First”, the nationalists who are trying to get the U.S. to survive, have won against the Empire-ists, the “Internationalists” or better known as the “Globalists.” Yeah, I know. Pretty sure that’s true, so one mega-victory already.

The vision of the US as a shining city on a hill …. was “always an illusion”

It wasn’t an illusion. It BECAME an illusion after 300 gol-durned years. It may even still be true. The LEVEL OF RHETORIC these days. My GOD! Look, a guy in a fur hat, escorted in by capitol police, taking a selfie, is not a “coup” or “insurrection” that we “Purge” (ABC) all men who ever joined any bowling club he was in. Even placid Tim Pool has been taken up by this: “The one side only wants the complete death and erasure of the other, they only want to win, and the law to be used to WIN against the other.” (paraphrase). No they don’t! That’s just a lie. Conservatives and Libertarians want to BE LEFT ALONE, and bright blue gay couples in Connecticut can do whatever it is Prius-driving people do. And while OF COURSE the red has no intention of wiping out anyone and never has, and are incredibly irritated they even have to get off the couch for literal self-defense of their very lives, NEITHER DO THE BLUE. You think your regular low-information (former) union democrat, the close friends of people who only just “Walked Away” all want 75 million red people shot in their front yard? Yeah, mostly, but when it comes down to it, it’s messy. It’ll lower house values. There’ll be lots of screaming. …Which they don’t care about, but IT WILL BE EMBARRASSING, and they’ll have to look at themselves and be the ones responsible for hurting others. Ultimately, if anyone acts, they would steadily lose support because Liberals don’t want to be the bad guys. They want the other guys to die in darkness, enslaved and starved somewhere else…you know, like iPhone factories and rare-earth mines in Uighur-land. But red-hat wearing people fix your car, and you’d feel bad if they shot Billy-Joe. You have to export them to concentration camps for wrong-think first.

My point is, even at this level, it’s not going to happen. They failed. They couldn’t do it. And here EVERY DAY they are losing some more. Okay, now that everyone has been purged off Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, cant use iPhones, Google, etc. what do you think will happen? They all just died and vanished into the soil like a video game? No, they did only one thing: destroyed their business model. Half the nation is no longer on, or eligible to use, their service. Two things: it also exposed that everything every red hat has been saying since your bum uncle cornered you in 1964, is totally true.

And then what? Well, everyone on the internet just joined Gab. And gee, I can’t pay 19% interest on my rent-to-own because you de-banked me? Who’s losing when THAT ends? I’m not allowed to live inside a propaganda machine but was chucked out the door to the Free-Speech-Tavern? Wow. Stop. Not the briar patch.
    Dont

This is the most awesome level of winning I’ve seen so far in my life. FINALLY the truth about these guys. Finally when you say “they are trying to kill you” people don’t claim not to see it. It already happened to them. And what’s more, they have now been clearly poked, they know from where, and are motivated and annoyed. They are also not alone.

Back with the Weathermen, Bill Ayers said yes, they’d have to kill maybe 30M Americans. It’s on record, HereLetMeGoogleThatForYou.com But…communists, so funny! You break a few eggs, you make an omlete, it’s all in good fun, let me protege the next President for you and we’ll call it even.

Now, you know, as a communist, I know he’s never done a day’s work in his life, but murdering and re-educating 30 MILLION Americans, SIXTY American cities, always seemed a bit unrealistic to me, even knowing that’s a low-ball number among death-by-Socialist. ESPECIALLY when they already know you’re after them. AND they’re all veterans, AND they’re well-armed. They would be the FATHERS, brothers, sisters, plumbers, pastors, co-workers, of the people doing the re-educating. But what the hey, right?

    NOW THERE ARE 80 MILLION.

Can you tell me what on God’s green earth makes you think you can put this back in the box? A fake legal review and some more slow propaganda cooking to communize another generation was the only thing they had going. That would keep these people, half the country, thinking they lost and following the laws. That they were crazy – no one is after you! You’re just wrong, alone, you’re the only one.

Now you had a rally of 75M people, with no sham, no fake law, no fig leaf just DO AS YOU’RE TOLD. They are already and clearly being purged. They have extensive online presence, election-calling-lists, levels of hypocrisy heretofore-considered-impossible, and what? They all just fade into the floorboards like a video game?

IF the election was rigged (it was) then use your head: we saw votes vanish, so let’s call 75M the minimum. Biden claims to be more popular than Jesus Christ, but if he got 80M votes, then 105% of all registered Americans voted. But let’s suppose generously, that a guy who can’t fill a high school cafeteria got an average vote. That a guy who the Left hates with passion of the ages, and that is completely uninspiring to the entire DNC base who couldn’t get him in the top third in Iowa is merely “average”. Try not to laugh, please. Mitt Romney had 61M votes. And I’d bet it’s 80M : 50M. Here’s the problem: “I’m not locked in here with YOU, you’re locked in here with ME.”

So the MINORITY of the U.S. is going to purge and erase the well-armed, well-informed, well-placed MAJORITY? Who do these people think they are? Twitter is going to defeat us? The U.S. ARMY has lost every war game against the people since they (sadly) started doing war games against their own citizens. But – let me get this straight – ABC, Facebook, and Twitter are going to defeat us? It’s over.

Come on, where’s your head at? It’s just getting’ started. You only JUST woke the sleeping giant and he’s ONLY just thowing cheeto-dust at you. You forget the last time we got off the couch, we nuked two cities. For no good reason. Before that, we leveled every city from Memphis to Savannah — our OWN cities — and were only getting warmed up. I mean, we destroyed every vertical object in Afghanistan and Libya just for target practice.

But Jack Dorsey and limp-wristed Lindsey Graham think it’s all over now.

Okay then. It’s a free country. You do you. Hope your plan works out for you.

So…just asking… if it’s over WHY are they purging 60% of the country? Why does Pelosi need to call the Pentagon and beg for a coup? According to them, they’re going to just walk in and take it all in just ten days. Is she just that impatient? Can’t wait to get Pogroms started?

“[They] are outgunned. Outmanned. Outnumbered. Outplanned.

We gotta make an all out stand.
But the elephant is in the room

The truth is in ya face when the cannons go BOOM”

Moving on: “Remember the ‘Deep State’ that was supposedly a Trumpian conspiracy theory? Yet its existence was confirmed”

Yes, and the whole nation saw it. Right AND Left, with no $2k and Force the Vote. The only thing cockroaches has going was that they were in the dark. Now they’re all in the light, and all in one place: D.C. Getting rid of them is easy as falling off a log.

political and ideological polarization fueled by social media platforms”

Yes, polarization of US against THEM. That is, the people, Social Democrats, Progressives, Workers, PLUS all 80M on the right, AGAINST D.C. Against Facebook. Against Jack Dorsey. Insiders vs Outsiders. “You’re locked in here with me.” Where you gonna go Lindsey Graham, Mr. Romney? You can’t even walk down the street or take a plane now. What good is your money now? Will it protect you? Did it help Jack Ma? Pelosi knows. That’s why she just demanded the U.S. Military obey and save her.

So you think after every flag officer read the DNI report that 80 million well-armed people were openly disenfranchised, that MI6 ran it, that Italy coordinated it, that Switzerland banked it, the U.S. Military is going to just hand the country over to a guy who took a BILLION dollars from China? A bold prediction: I hope it works out.

It’s over indeed: We won. They lost. All we have now is time.

Madamski amen to the rise in salaries of physicians and administrators. A local story: in Ottawa (capital of Canada) news reports from public health state that there are many personal support workers (those employed to dress, feed, wash the frail and disabled) living in homeless shelters because they cannot afford rent based on their salaries. A goodly proportion of these folks are covid positive, so efforts are made to try to separate them from the other folks living at the homeless shelters. Because these workers are covid positive, they are not supposed to take public transit, so they walk to work. Yes, pity those physicians….
Another covid close up: I celebrated with my demented mother her 90th birthday on Tuesday at her retirement home which had a covid outbreak. She tested positive on Thursday (after testing negative on Monday) and she became palliative as of Friday. She’s on her own ice flow now.

Black Capitol Police Officers Describe Fighting Off “Racist Ass Terrorists”

I normally wouldn’t post a link to a Buzzfeed News article (they really embarrassed themselves by reporting on the Steele Dossier as if it were an actual thing), but this eyewitness account on the part of African-American capitol police officers on the scene of the DC Trumpster-Putsch is an important one.

Ivermectin is a medicine used to kill parasites. Used since 1980s, the drug is mainly used in creams and lotions for head lice. Besides this, it is also used in a tablet form to cure roundworm infection and second-line treatment for scabies and rosacea, a skin condition that results in redness and causes pus-filled bumps on the face.

Please share my latest articles. Medicine, government and media are doing too little, too late to treat COVID.

2020 (LISTED CHRONOLOGICALLY FROM MOST RECENT))

She is a gynecologist. He is a surgeon. They are married and both 77 years old.

In mid-November, they were diagnosed with COVID-19, first her, then him. Their paths diverge at this point, but not to worry.

She took the drug hydroxychloroquine. He took ivermectin. They are both well now – walking, golfing, doing yoga — seven weeks later.

The couple’s brush with COVID might have ended very differently. In the United States, patients 75 to 84 years old die at 220 times the rate of adults under 30. But these two elderly, otherwise healthy physicians live in India. They were able to get early home treatment that is virtually, and unconscionably, unheard of in many western countries. In India, premier medical centers have, nonetheless, adopted it. In Bangladesh, doctors are using combination ivermectin/doxycycline therapy for home care, as are major hospitals in Dhaka for inpatients.

“The economy is flying,” Dr. Tarek Alam, who led several studies on the drug’s efficacy, told me in an email. “Hospitals have empty COVID beds and the initial demand for ICU has come down.” Indeed, Bangladesh – the world’s most densely populated country — has an even lower fatality rate than India, ranking 126th globally.

I’ll end this with the Worldometer COVID statistics for Jan. 7, 2021.

    @Dr.D
“The real reason is to a) sell tests b) sell fear c) get everyone under house arrest during a violent and inevitable economic reset / debt / oil collapse.”

    a) seems true enough to be called fact

    b) strikes me as putting the cart before the horse: fear sells kits. This could just be a semantic quibble on my part, for Dr. D may just be using the word “sell” figuratively, but I think it’s more than that. Fear is a market device not a product. That still resembles a semantic quibble but look at the third item, and look how fear defies logic:

    c) life under house arrest will of itself produce the civil unrest it is allegedly supposed to prevent. Let’s factor in the oft-touted notion that the powers that be WANT to promote civil unrest.

I think that a) is the only iron-clad assertion, and is sufficient itself to explain itself. b) is a non sequitur; they give away fear freely to sell a rotten carrot with a snake stick. C) is hard to distinguish from emotional hysteria. We all have our emotional hysterias. I struggle with mine all the time. But we can still remain logical. Fear is NOT the mind-killer. Quitting/submission are.

“The vision of the US as a shining city on a hill …. was “always an illusion”

I agree. At first, the illusion was a grand aspiration, and therefore valid. It required us to remove the local inhabitants, and was based on (mostly) imported slaves and the existence of relatively unpopulated land, the aborigines having been previously decimated by disease and major ecological upset ( 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus ) , but it had high hopes and was in some ways morally elevated for the times. That is to say, morally elevated relative to the increasingly crowded lands, over-used resources, and reliably oppressive governments of Europe.

But it didn’t take 300 years to remove that beacon. It was taken down as early as 1791’s*1 Whiskey Rebellion. Dear old Hamilton. Man should’ve made himself useful instead of elevating himself into a destructive self-indulgent idiot. Maybe pick cotton or make candles.

It was based on Europe not fixing its problems but instead importing them here. It looked promising despite already being terminally toxic, but by the time the Reconstruction was over in 1877*, the potential for evil empire per usual was established ineradicably short of yet another revolutionary war, something Americans were understandably tired of by then.

*1 Also in 1791: “During the colonial era, British corporations were chartered by the crown to do business in North America. This practice continued in the early United States. They were often granted monopolies as part of the chartering process. For example, the controversial Bank Bill of 1791 chartered a 20-year corporate monopoly for the First Bank of the United States. Although the Federal government has from time to time chartered corporations, the general chartering of corporations has been left to the states. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, corporations began to be chartered in greater numbers by the states, under general laws allowing for incorporation at the initiative of citizens, rather than through specific acts of the legislature.”

*2 not to forget the 1886 case Santa Clara v. Southern Pacific – 118 U.S. 394 (1886). Forgive me for quoting the History (HitlerHitlerHitler) Channel’s online article on the subject:

“But it wasn’t until the 1886 case Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Rail Road that the Court appeared to grant a corporation the same rights as an individual under the 14th Amendment. The case is remembered less for the decision itself—the state had improperly assessed taxes to the railroad company—than for a headnote added to it by the court reporter at the time, which quoted Chief Justice Morrison Waite as saying: “The Court does not wish to hear argument on the question whether the provision in the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution which forbids a state to deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws applies to these corporations. We are all of opinion that it does.”

Then came monolithic mass media (Hearst newspapers and the Spanish-American War), then the mutant financial cephalopod known as the Federal Reserve or, as some say, Cthulhu (1913), and finally, mandatory public education, marketed by racially bigoted fear (In the 1920s the idea of compulsory public education gained traction in various states, largely as a reaction against parochial schools. The Ku Klux Klan supported the movement.[2] In Michigan the movement achieved a referendum on the subject in 1920, but won less than 40 percent of the vote.[3] In Oregon a similar measure passed in 1922. Campaigning for it, the Ku Klux Klan “circulated a tract that pictured a grinning, torch-wielding Catholic bishop triumphantly departing from a burning public school house whose teacher rang the school bell one last time as he lay dying in the vestibule, mourned by crying children.”[7]).

We might add Prohibition and the FDA, both for ostensibly good reasons but both used, of course, to gain more control, somehow resulting in one drug epidemic after another and modern pharma ads on TV for mystery ailments not safe for disclosure except in the priestly confessional confines of your doctor’s office.

Shining beacons on shining hills are almost always based on Lesser Evil thinking and escape. We think we’re so much better than Them, and want Them to come over here and work our mines and factories and build our railroads for us. Romans thought they were pretty swell people too. They became addicted to violent spectacles and government welfare as citizens, and to slaves-as-soldiers on the ruling level.

To see the shining beacon on its hill at the end of that tunnel, we need only bend over and peer up our respective rectae.

Here’s the thing: nursing homes themselves are ice floes. Trust your elders to a corporate industry (even if often manifested as mom’n’pop operations), expect no better than any other corporate industry. But our economy makes it very difficult, nigh or genuinely impossible for many people to tend our elders at home, and there’s always Medicare/Medicaid to fund the costs with funny money and “government oversight”.

Why yes, people tell me I’m very blunt. Why do you ask?

What to do? We’re stuck in the circumstances at hand.

If she’s still able to hear, call her and sing her favorite songs from her day. Music is the great mnemonic enhanced and emotional comfort. I feel for your loss. I find myself spontaneously saying a prayer to a woman floating into the foggy cold void but warmed by a tiny seal oil lamp her daughter kindly gave her. I see it in my mind, and I have tears right now. Think of it as my prayer for your mother.

    @ Mr. Roboto

“Racist-Ass Terrorists” is quite the red meat bear-bait to the left wing.

Proud Boys has become a tar-brush designation for the prevailing demographic behind that movement, what the song calls Holler Boys. I know Holler Boys. I like them and trust them, warts and all. They aren’t perfect but who is?

Militarily trained? You bet. To go overseas and kill mostly innocent women, children, and men (in hierarchical value.) They know the swamp personally: they were its minions.

Proud Boys are an extreme fringe element based on Mommy issues. They do not represent the main movement that we loosely call alt-right. But our media/manipulators throw the extremists at us to taint the whole bunch. When it becomes convenient or necessary, it will be chartreuse-haired justice warriors brandishing whatever, and the designation will be “these are terrorist-trained XYZs”.

As for the White Supremacist label: most of that bunch who have racial issues are white SEPERATISTS not supremacists. This is true even with those who are racially bigoted, especially those who served in the armed forces: poor boys, black boys, hispanic boys, and the new flavor: poor girls of any ethnicity. Who get raped a lot while in the service.

At least these so-called racist asshole clown know what the target is: Congress. Fuck the cops who defend congress. Fuck them black, fuck them white.

It’s so much fun to denounce people for a certain set of sins while ignoring or rationalizing the sins of one’s own preferred set of sins.

The big issue of that article is missing management, not racist ass terrorists. Let’s all be prejudiced against prejudiced people. After all, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, right? I do not target Mr. Roboto in these remarks, just the article he shared.

    Holler Boys

P.S. Please. The Rebel flag is not primarily a symbol of white supremacy. It is primarily a symbol of poor white folk, who never owned slaves, who often respected blacks as individuals while living in a mutual apartheid only made corrupt by the usual power-players, not the poor sod breaking his back picking cotton side-by-side with poor black folk. Racial Southern bigots have a flag of their own. THere is always some overlap. Someone give me a Venn diagram! I’m running out of words! (TAE breathes a sigh of relief).

Someone mentioned how everyone thinks they have God on their side, or at least the seal of official secular humanist approval. Everyone, you, me, that clown over there wearing Viking horns and that clown over there wearing a pink t-shirt and what looks like a purple fright wig but is actually his hair, is full of shit.

But we must live together somehow or else we’ll kill each nother or, at “best”, enslave each other.

The military also has experienced what war is actually like: it destroys the nation they live in. Not everyone wants to move to a foregin paradise and golf between sex bouts with underage Thai prostitues. Many of them, including those who’ve personally orchestrated the destruction of entire nations, want to live here, in an undestroyed nation.

I don’t expect the military to save us nor do I expect it to invade us. That would be the job of mercenaries, and mercenaries get out of control real fast as, again, military folk, top to bottom, know better than anyone.

    Along with processesprocessesprocesses, is motivationmotivationmotivation.

We once had a fairly egalitarian military. It was nonetheless willing to fire on Bonus marchers in the 1930s Depression. Hi IKe! Hello MacArthur! But they hadn’t yet been overseas and seen what invading a nation to save it does to the nation and its people. The same Ike who once fired on Bonus protestors later became president and used National Guard to enforce a new law attempting to enforce equal education opportunities for all. Federal mandates want federal protection when violent mobs would otherwise tear alittle girl to pieces if she walked up those steps to that formerly whites-only school. (MacArthur never learned anything but to make sure the paprazzi photoed him on his good side.)

There are no federal mandates to protect us from ourselves, and I highly doubt that they want to do to their native country what they did to Iraq or Libya or Afghanistan or Viet Nam or North Korea. They know that they know how to destroy. They also know that their leaders don’t know how to rebuild or restore, and they have good reason to believe they lack that skill either.

The ultimate power is ALWAYS in the money, cuz no one does anything, included drafted soldiers who’ll be sent to the brig if they don’t do their duty, unless someone gives them the magic uber-drug: money.

The United States of America has always been more of a business concern than it ever has been a real country. Once the empire collapses, I really do expect it to break up into smaller units that will be a lot more like actual countries. It’s inevitable, even if it doesn’t happen in my lifetime (which may not be a whole lot longer, given the little foretaste we had this week of where things are headed).

A few of the posts recently seem to indicate that some TAE readers have reached the boiling point. Either that, or, since the phenomenon appears to be occurring on other blogs also, the state has initiated an orchestrated effort to sabotage sites that continue to shine their light into dark places the state wishes to keep hidden. Both cases are possible.

“A tiny handful of tech oligarchs are more powerful than any nation-state.” – Greenwald

I disagree with Glenn on this, and think he is barking up the wrong tree. Although we can easily point the finger at these latest “bad boys”, the centralized power of the tech giants in not that different than the consolidation which occurred years ago with the legacy media, putting more power into fewer and fewer hands, and all blessed by the state. This was done, I believe, by design. I’m not sure who sits at the top of the power pyramid and makes these decisions, whether it is the deep state, international finance, or even ET’s, but I’m certain it is neither of the US political parties, both of which strike me as stooges, just like Zuckerberg or Dorsey. Either of which could be dragged out of his plush office at a moment’s notice by men with guns and body armor, or whose Tesla could tragically accelerate into a tree on the way home from the office.

An interesting article, recently published by the journal Nature, makes the case that vaccines will stop the pandemic, but continued vaccinations will not be necessary because the Covid viruses will remain present in the population, with “overwhelmingly asymptomatic or mild” infections, like the four coronaviruses which cause the common cold.

“Continued presence of SARS-CoV-2 is akin to endemic HCoVs [common cold coronaviruses], where 60–70% population seroprevalence reflects a spectrum of immunity, dynamically maintained by intermittent reinfection and affords group protection from severe infection in the vulnerable. A large proportion of the population will be protected sufficiently and will reduce the viral shedding burden at any time to prevent large outbreaks.

We’ve been infected with coronaviruses and “catching colds” since early childhood. The “common cold” coronaviruses are thought to have been more lethal in the past, until there was a “60–70% population seroprevalence.”

COVID-19 vaccinations have started. They will stop the pandemic. Citing recent data that are in line with immunological knowledge and predictions, combined with insights of common cold coronaviruses, we here set out the case that the maintenance of population immunity will not depend on continued vaccinations but on the endemic presence of SARS-CoV-2

    Immunity to human coronaviruses [HCoVs]
There are four known HCoVs that cause asymptomatic or mild upper respiratory tract infections similar to those generated by a collection of upper respiratory tract-targeting virus families. The broad pool of these common cold viruses can make us ‘catch a cold’ several times a year. The seroprevalence of the common cold HCoVs, initiated in early childhood, is widespread in adults, with reinfections separated by months, mostly without symptoms but with possible viral shedding. Similarly, SARS-CoV-2 infections are overwhelmingly asymptomatic or mild. Mild infections of the upper respiratory tract associate with modest antibody increases and several infection rounds may be required to prevent symptomatic disease.

Will vaccines stop the pandemic? [Prediction: Yes] …A second important question is whether the vaccines will be effective against reinfection or even eradicate SARS-CoV-2. Here, we suggest both answers are most probably no.

Coronavirus vaccines have been used extensively to control infections in domestic animals. Inactivated or intramuscular parenteral vaccines induce high systemic levels of neutralizing antibodies and confer effective protection against disease. However, they have lower efficacy against mucosal CoV infections and do not prevent viral shedding.

Therefore, SARS-CoV-2 is likely to remain present in the population. The four common cold HCoVs are also thought to have had a more lethal history, possibly incorrectly identified as the cause of influenza pandemics in the past. Continued presence of SARS-CoV-2 is akin to endemic HCoVs, where 60–70% population seroprevalence reflects a spectrum of immunity, dynamically maintained by intermittent reinfection and affords group protection from severe infection in the vulnerable. A large proportion of the population will be protected sufficiently and will reduce the viral shedding burden at any time to prevent large outbreaks. The exception to this will be the reintroduction of the virus into communities in which SARS-CoV-2 is not endemic and/or who are not vaccinated. Infections from a young age and re-infections in later life will build up and maintain immunity. Importantly, those that have not been able to gain immunity via natural infection or vaccination will benefit from herd immunity, despite the virus residing in a largely asymptomatic population.

Endemic SARS-CoV-2 will maintain post-pandemic immunity

It’s time to #KillTwitter, #KillFacebook, #KillGoogle and #KillYouTube. (I popped the hashtags in there just to make it easier for ya if you choose to spread the word via various social media )

No need to complicate this thing. Twitter, Facebook and Google deserve to die, and it’s as easy as “clicking” to do it . No one’s going to miss them when they’re gone.
So-called “Big Tech” just flipped off the Constitution, banned free speech, crushed critics (with lies, algos and censorship) and helped pull off the biggest (felonious) election fraud in human history. Big Tech’s owners are obscenely rich , above the law and hold you in total contempt. They reckon you are a mob of morons who they can “aim” like a weapon at anyone and everyone they want to destroy. They do it with the promotion, bans, censorship and psychological profiling and manipulation that forms the very core of their disgusting business model. Basically they steal, brainwash and betray for money.
I highly recommend that you kill them before they finish the job of killing you, because they very very very much intend to kill you . . . you stand in their way now, so they aim to deep six you as a dangerous liability, and pronto.
You are a liability because you can kill them as easily as you made them rich in the first place : just click a different button on your phone or browser. So they need to remove you from the equation you before you figure that out. But First , they need to switch to a safer legally guaranteed income business model. They want to be tax supported, protected by law, and not have to compete for their money. They wanna be financed by the captive tax payer, not the shifty market.
How ? Easy as this: get turned into a regulated , monopoly, Public Utility. Bingo! Money for nothing and chumps for free.
Once they accomplish that ( and they’re real close now) you are no longer needed for anything. You become a noisy and annoying bother, and ya know how that ends, right ? Same orders as always : sit down, shut up, take what we give you, and don’t do anything until we tell you to.
So which one is going to happen first ? Are you going to wise up and click on a different App, or are they going to finish you off once and for all?

Interesting, and positive, but do we know anything more than few weeks ago, when the WHO said that the vaccine doesn’t protect you from infection, or those around you from being infected by you?

Because if that is still so, how can the vaccines stop the pandemic?

I was never a good chess player, but I liked it as a kid, until I got into high school and played better players. I quit playing chess.
Now, in America, I have that game’s-about-over feeling about our democratic political mechanisms.
No hope for any future elections.
Consolidation of big tech supremacy and intimate control of our thoughts, perceptions, purchases, travel and interpersonal communications.
Death by disconnection becomes feasible. Non-entities just shivering somewhere invisibly.

Here is how I have been feeling the past few days.

When I was working at the Pinon clinic on the Navajo reservation, in 1991, somebody rushed in and called for me to “come quick, a lady has been shot”. I rushed down the dirt street to see a middle aged Navajo woman’s head and shoulders on the ground and her bottom and feet up in the passenger side of the open truck. I pulled her out onto the dirt and stabilized her head and airway. She breathed.
A hysterical white lady was praising God, “She’s Alive! Praise God!”
The woman had been shot in the right eye and the bullet came out the back of her head. Her heart was beating.
Her breathing became deeper, more gasping, periodic, then occasional gasps, then no more.
Her pulse weakened, then trailed off.
A Young Navajo man wanted to do CPR. I said, “no, she just herniated her brainstem. She’s dead.”
EMS arrived and I declared her dead.
I walked back with dusty trousers to finish seeing strep throats and diabetes at the clinic, hours of ordinary work for the people.
It was really hard for me to keep moving, ploddingly practicing medicine, but I had to do it. They needed me to provide their care.

There is that no-way-out feeling. We have to do this together. Individual humans just don’t survive.
Any one of us has to come forward into the new world with the rest of us.
We have to co-create a living world. Selfish motives cannot work any more.
    Sharing-paradigm-or-bust.

That’s the conundrum, like in the dream, when you are just about to hit the ground and you wake up.
Spiritually, in Buddhism, this anguished helplessness is the situation to drive the soul to transcend the physical constraints.
The only way to change the hopeless situation is through spiritual engagement.
I practiced channeling love to each person I saw, or whose presence I felt, on my bike rides to work Thursday and Friday.
I both did so and noticed my impediments in doing so.
    I’m a spiritual Swiss cheese.

Follow-up: once things have descended into major chaos, I suspect what’s left of the military might then make a power play. They won’t want to give up those lovely weapons of which they feel ownershipto some unruly mob.

But if they try to sit on the throne proper, it will most likely be because of someone like Napoleon, some Elon Musk dicator wannabe, a General Fathead with the charisma and guts to do such a thing. This will be after our money has disintegrated, not before. Paychecks rule; unemployment drools.
Hitler is a good example: he had real military cred, was wounded at the Battle of Somme. He begged not to be evacuated because of his wound. Hitler was anything but a coward, whereas Donald runs from his own shadow although he has enough chutzpah to almost compensate. Still, no military bass was going to follow him against Beltway rules.

Without such a person, the military will tend to stay in their roost and cluck about the absence of orders that they’re institutionally used to running their lives for them. I trust that historical fate will provide smoe kind of Napoleon or Hitler

Police Enter Home, Arrest Family After Neighbor Snitched on Them For Violating COVID Rules

Here is some information from the listserv of doctors who treat COVID-19, that I’m on lately:
The reason that coronavirus is of interest as a vaccine vector is that the human body does not mount a very good response agains coronavirus. It slips in, so it can carry vaccine-program-RNA into cells. The suspicion that COVID may have originated in attempts to make vaccine, like AIDS vaccine, is more comprehensible to me, now.

A 35 year Dutch study on 4 strains of coronavirus shows that immunity has pretty much waned by a year from the last infection, and there are many as years go by.
    https://www.livescience.com/seasonal-coronavirus-immunity-reinfection.html

SARS-CoV-2 cellular immunity (more important than antibodies, perhaps) is good at 6 months, but falls off pretty rapidly after that.

    Country estimates

    Click on forecasts 2025.

    Disclaimer*

In 2014 we published a disclaimer about the forecast. In six years the scenario has changed dramatically. This new disclaimer is meant to single out the situation from 2020 onwards. Talking about the United States and the European Union as separated entities no longer makes sense. Both are the Western block, keep printing money and will share the same fate.

After COVID we can draw two major conclusions:

The Western world success model has been built over societies with no resilience that can barely withstand any hardship, even a low intensity one. It was assumed but we got the full confirmation beyond any doubt.
The COVID crisis will be used to extend the life of this dying economic system through the so called Great Reset.

The Great Reset; like the climate change, extinction rebellion, planetary crisis, green revolution, shale oil (…) hoaxes promoted by the system; is another attempt to slow down dramatically the consumption of natural resources and therefore extend the lifetime of the current system. It can be effective for awhile but finally won’t address the bottom-line problem and will only delay the inevitable. The core ruling elites hope to stay in power which is in effect the only thing that really worries them.

The collapse of the Western financial system – and ultimately the Western civilization – has been the major driver in the forecast along with a confluence of crisis with a devastating outcome. As COVID has proven Western societies embracing multiculturalism and extreme liberalism are unable to deal with any real hardship. The Spanish flu one century ago represented the death of 40-50 million people. Today the world’s population is four times greater with air travel in full swing which is by definition a super spreader. The death casualties in today’s World would represent 160 to 200 million in relative terms but more likely 300-400 million taking into consideration the air travel factor that did not exist one century ago. So far, COVID death toll is roughly 1 million people. It is quite likely that the economic crisis due to the lockdowns will cause more deaths than the virus worldwide.

The Soviet system was less able to deliver goodies to the people than the Western one. Nevertheless Soviet society was more compact and resilient under an authoritarian regime. That in mind, the collapse of the Soviet system wiped out 10 percent of the population. The stark reality of diverse and multicultural Western societies is that a collapse will have a toll of 50 to 80 percent depending on several factors but in general terms the most diverse, multicultural, indebted and wealthy (highest standard of living) will suffer the highest toll. The only glue that keeps united such aberrant collage from falling apart is overconsumption with heavy doses of bottomless degeneracy disguised as virtue. Nevertheless the widespread censorship, hate laws and contradictory signals mean that even that glue is not working any more. Not everybody has to die migration can also play a positive role in this.

The formerly known as second and third world nations are an unknown at this point. Their fate will depend upon the decisions they take in the future. Western powers are not going to take over them as they did in the past because these countries won’t be able to control their own cities far less likely countries that are far away. If they remain tied to the former World Order they will go down along Western powers but won’t experience the brutal decline of the late because they are poorer and not diverse enough but rather quite homogenous used to deal with some sort of hardship but not precisely the one that is coming. If they switch to China they can get a chance to stabilize but will depend upon the management of their resources.

We expected this situation to unfold and actually is unfolding right now with the November election triggering a major bomb if Trump is re-elected. If Biden is elected there will very bad consequences as well. There is a lot of bad blood in the Western societies and the protests, demonstrations, rioting and looting are only the first symptoms of what is coming. However a new trend is taking place overshadowing this one.

The situation between the three great powers has changed dramatically. The only relevant achievement of the Western powers during the past decade has been the formation of a strategic alliance, both military and economic, between Russia and China. Right now the potential partnership between Russia and the European Union (EU) is dead with Russia turning definitively towards China. That was from the beginning the most likely outcome. Airbus never tried to establish a real partnership but rather a strategy to fade away the Russian aerospace industry. Actually Russia and China have formed a new alliance to build a long haul airliner. Western Europe (not to mention the United States) was never interested in the development of Russia or forming anything other than a master slave relationship with Russia providing raw materials and toeing the line of the West. It was clear then and today is a fact.

Russia has been preparing for a major war since 2008 and China has been increasing her military capabilities for the last 20 years. Today China is not a second tier power compared with the United States. Both in military and economic terms China is at the same level and in some specific areas are far ahead. In the domain of high-tech 5G has been a success in the commercial realm but the Type 055 destroyer is also another breakthrough with the US gaining a similar capability (DDG 51 Flight IIII) by mid of this decade (more likely by 2030). Nanchang, the lead ship of the Type 055 class, was commissioned amid the pandemic and lockdown in China.

Six years ago the likelihood of a major war was tiny. Since then it has grown steadily and dramatically and today is by far the most likely major event in the 2020s. The ultimate conflict can come from two ways. A conventional conflict involving at least two major powers that escalates into an open nuclear war. A second scenario is possible in the 2025-2030 timeframe. A Russian sneak first strike against the United States and its allies with the new S-500, strategic missile defenses, Yasen-M submarines, INF Zircon and Kalibr missiles and some new space asset playing the key role. The sneak first strike would involve all Russian missile strategic forces branches (bombers and ground-based missiles) at the different stages of such attack that would be strategic translation of what was seen in Syria in November 2015. There was no report that the Russian had such a capability of launching a high precision, multiple, combined arms attack at targets 2,000+ kilometers away. Western intelligence had no clue. The irony is that since the end of the Cold War the United States has been maneuvering through NATO to achieve a position to execute a first strike over Russia and now it seems that the first strike may occur but the country finished would be the United States.

Another particularity of the Western system is that its individuals have been brainwashed to the point that the majority accept their moral high ground and technological edge as a given. This has given the rise of the supremacy of the emotional arguments over the rational ones which are ignored or deprecated. That mindset can play a key role in the upcoming catastrophic events. At least in the Soviet system the silent majority of the people were aware of the fallacies they were fed up. We can see the United States claims about G5 being stolen from them by China or hypersonic technology being stolen by Russia as the evidence that the Western elites are also infected by that hubris. Over the next decade it will become obvious that the West is falling behind the Russia-China block and the malaise might grow into desperation. Going to war might seem a quick and easy solution to restore the lost hegemony to finally find them into a France 1940 moment. Back then France did not have nuclear weapons to turn a defeat into a victory. The West might try that swap because the unpleasant prospect of not being Mars and Venus but rather a bully and his dirty bitch running away in fear while the rest of the world is laughing at them.

If there is not a dramatic change of course the world is going to witness the first nuclear war. The Western block collapse may come before, during or after the war. It does not matter. A nuclear war is a game with billions of casualties and the collapse plays in the hundreds of millions.

Once again I am sorry if I have posted incorrectly.
I do not usually follow Prepper or Survivalist blogs.
but the Deagel description is concise snd seems to be informed.

    Forecast 2025

    US 2025

    I found this description here

Deagel.com is apparently some sort of global military intelligence site. They have had an online presence since 2003. They report on high-level military equipment assets and keep track of military expenditures by country “with nearly impeccable numbers”.

One additional aspect of their site is to “forecast” financial outlooks for countries around the world. They track GDP (gross domestic product), defense budgets, and even population (forecasts) for each country.

No one knows for sure, but I’ve read that their sources are “the ‘deep state’ with the CIA, US Department of Defense, US Department of State and World Bank contributing data for their forecasts.”

According to their own website, Deagel provides news and intelligence on international military aviation and advanced technologies.

Little is known about the real owner(s). The site name is registered in France. All online information about them is “redacted for privacy”. The site hosting company is located in Old Tappan, New Jersey.

    “Hey Ken, So what?”

I just thought I’d first mention the mysterious aspect of Deagel. I came across their site years ago. Many of you may already know about it.

However, here’s something quite, well, “interesting”? …or ALARMING?!
Deagel Forecasts Massive Depopulation in the USA by 2025

They have been forecasting a huge population drop in the United States for several years. I read about it back then, but never posted about it. I ran across it again. So this time I thought I would throw it out there.

Current population of the USA is about 327 million.

    Deagle forecast for 2025 is 100 million. That’s a ~ 70% drop.

    PARLER

I wonder if there will be much kick-back from this?

For businesses using Amazon Cloud they now know they can be put out of business at a whim if Bezos doesn’t like something they do. A contribution to the Republican party for example. They may look to move their business elsewhere.

Some of the public may stop using Amazon but as they have never bothered about making a profit it is difficult for other sellers to compete. [The last report I read about Amazon goods was they made a loss of 1%] Recent Amazon profits mainly came from Cloud Services.

To use Parler on a smart phone you need a non-Apple phone which does not use Android. The only ones I know about are by Huawei!

Even Democrat supporters should be worried about how completely their online life is restricted. If they do not toe the line they will be locked out.

Of COURSE you can kill Big Tech (while leaving Tech itself unharmed) . You have no idea how powerful you are.
No. I mean really. I mean that the power you hold, as a lonely little old individua human being, is as absolute and irreversible as an exploding super nova, and I ain’t saying that in any sort of poetical sense. I’m saying it factually.
Every action that you perform, large or small, changes the world in some way ( large or small) that absolutely can not be reversed by any amount of force or authority. Once you do it, it remains done. Forever.
For example. Go to your smart phone and your browser. Replace your browser with Brave or Opera for all internet access. Replace Twitter and Youtube with Gab and Bitchute or Rumble. Switch your search engine from Google to DuckDuckGo or Yandex. Change your email from GMail to Proton.
Done. Go about your daily life just like you always have, and never touch Google, Facebook, YouTube or Twitter ever again. Your life gets simpler, easier and happier . . . and four of the most dangerous and evil criminal enterprises in the world just shrivel up and die. And there is nothing they can do to stop you or change the effect of what you just did.
You just killed them and saved yourself (and the world.) Pretty easy.
Like I said, you have had no idea how powerful you are.

    About Julian.

Now that Biden is president, with a small “p”, you should expext the deep state’s media to ramp up the RussiaRussiaRussia hoax narrative again.

You know what that means for Julian. His fahte is sealed.

One of the reasons for increasing the RussiaRussiaRussia volume stems from Russia becoming one of the few countries in the world to voluntarily decide to de-dollarize itself. Iran and Venezuela have both been de-dollarize by US sanctions too, but not voluntarily!

In case you haven’t notice, Russia now controls world oil prices. Biden’s puppet masters won’t like this one bit!

However, they can’t blame China, their puppet master!

So, it will be RussiaRussiaRussia all over again!

As for Julian, he will pay the ultimate price for speaking the truth.

Twitter not only bans Trump, but also a Med. Journal (European Journal of Medical and Health Sciences) for publishing an article that showed Ivermectin treatment was “positive.”

Note in the middle of the link to the site Reclaim, readers are warned “this link may be unsafe” – the link is to the med. journal and it doesn’t click thru (no access to the original article.) It may, one is warned, steal personal info, harm devices, spam, promulgate violent or misleading content, etc.

In this 9 minute video, reference is made to a film, The Hamburg Syndrome, which was made in 1979, which is a uncanny prediction of 2020 and the COVID-19 virus, which spread from a street market in Communist China to the rest of the world in very quick time. The number of deaths world wide has been massive, and new strains of the virus are now beginning to appear.

Ilargi: “Interesting, and positive, but do we know anything more than few weeks ago, when the WHO said that the vaccine doesn’t protect you from infection, or those around you from being infected by you? Because if that is still so, how can the vaccines stop the pandemic?”

I believe this is the WHO quote you are referring to, from the Debt Rattle 29 December.

The comments were made by WHO chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan during what appears to have been a virtual press conference held Monday. A clip of the offending line has begun circulating on social media. “At the moment, I don’t believe we have the evidence on any of the vaccines, to be confident that it’s going to prevent people from getting the infection and passing it on,”

I think this could still be consistent with the predictions in the Nature article I posted above, since (ignoring potential side effects and unknown long-term effects of mRNA vaccines) the vaccinations could reduce the numbers of people who get the full-blown symptoms, and help build the “herd immunity” to a point where it’s similar to the common cold coronaviruses.

    Good news

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/iran-hails-victory-while-tankers-cargo-ships-continue-arriving-venezuelan-port
At a moment Washington D.C. is locked into a very different drama, Iranian state media is hailing ‘victory’ after late last week an Iranian cargo ship successfully made it to Venezuelan port and thus past the US blockade on the country.

The Iranian-flagged general cargo ship Golsan had left Iran in November at has arrived at the Venezuelan port of La Guaira. It’s unknown exactly what the vessel was transporting but it’s believed to have been laden with cargo to supply Caracas’ first Iranian supermarket.
This comes at a moment the Trump administration has promised to prevent multiple Iranian fuel laden ships from discharging in Venezuela, now crossing the Atlantic.
As Reuters explains, “Iran has been supplying gasoline to ease fuel shortages in Venezuela caused by decay of the South American nation’s refineries and worsened by sanctions. It has also shipped food to help the government of President Nicolas Maduro.”

While Venezuela is rich in crude, its derelict refineries can’t process it into badly needed gasoline for domestic consumption. So while it continues to export its oil, it must rely on allies like Iran and Russia to bring fuel.

What are the step to involved in overthrowing a sitting gov.
    1. cut the gov. from using communications (Twitter, Facebook and Google)
    2. Obtain support that the military will not interfere. ( Nancy did that and lost her laptop with secrets)
    3. Get support from elected reps. and dept. of justice to remove the president ( Nancy and democrat are doing that with impeachment and article 25)
    4. Replace the admin. ( Biden is lining up his favorite friends to take over)
    5. Hopefully, a peaceful demonstration and acceptance of a peaceful transfer of power.

I think it’s obvious at this point that nothing will stop this pandemic. Nothing that our authorities can or will do, that is.

    @ Maxwell Quest

“I disagree with Glenn on this, and think he is barking up the wrong tree. Either of which could be dragged out of his plush office at a moment’s notice by men with guns and body armor, or whose Tesla could tragically accelerate into a tree on the way home from the office.”

I thinking you’re running around the tree barking in circles. This does not in any way negate the statement you rebut:

“A tiny handful of tech oligarchs are more powerful than any nation-state.” – Greenwald

That the media monoliths are more powerful than nation-sates does not mean they are the most powerful entity in the room. But there is no doubt that the hypnosis of the masses is achieved by the near-monopoly conferred by the people onto various social media.

    Who runs the show?

    This Clown?

    Or This Bitch?

Only Dorothy has the red shoes, fwiw. At least she can go home. Neither The Wiz or The Witch can.

“Money for nothing and chumps for free.”

I like that. I abandoned FB in ’18 when their bots put me on temporary suspension for using a politically incorrect word. I was an avid and interesting poster, and once had a considerable following. They don’t need the ad revenue they lost from my traffic.

I can’t blame Zuck et al for the media monopoly they own. Creeps will be creeps, but it takes a pre-confitioned herd mentality to become so addicted to a few media platforms that it can run them around by the nose.
