Trump, as you have both observed, is in a self-imposed informational bubble by his own choice. I would add only that he made that choice in order to acquire power. One could argue (and it would be a strong argument) that his boyhood decision to hitch his wagon to those losers (the power and money elites) was both ignorant and stupid, but it was not without reason. The reason was that he wanted power and money just like they did, so that’s the club he joined, and it’s the one he remains totally loyal to.
I think that he has no desire or intention to change, and remains in that bubble very very deliberately.
