Here we are on a planet with oil, coal and natural gas beneath our feet, and oxygen in the atmosphere, having learned to perform work by combining the two under special circumstances, and we have become the masters of this planet, by doing so. We reached peak industrial economy and peak oil + condensates about the end of 2018. Everything since then, the weirdness, has been a reflection of that change. The final draft, dated Monday and seen by the outlet, would require Kiev to create a fund and set aside 50% of the revenue from the “future monetization” of its state-owned mineral resources, including oil and gas and related logistics. The fund would invest in Ukrainian industries.

Yesterday, on the third anniversary of the Russian incursion into Ukraine, there were two very important votes in the United Nations on ending the war. One vote, in the Security Council, passed a U.S. drafted resolution calling for a quick end to the war without naming Russia as aggressor and without mention of the withdrawal of Russian forces to the Ukrainian boundaries before the start of hostilities. This resolution was approved by Russia and China. The European permanent and temporary members of the Council abstained, allowing the resolution to pass. Thus, for all the world to see, Russia, China and the United States stood together for the first time in decades, while Europe fell silent before this superior power constellation.
On the same day, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution put forward by the Europeans which repeated the whole anti-Russian litany of previous resolutions these past three years. It passed though it was vetoed by the United States as well as Russia while 65 member states abstained, itself an unusually large number of abstentions.

According to the agreement, Israel is supposed to let in 600 trucks of aid per day, including 50 trucks of fuel, and a total of 200,000 tents and 60,000 prefabricated mobile homes during the first phase of the ceasefire. The Government Media Office said that Israel has only let in 8,500 trucks out of the total 12,000 (in northern Gaza, only 2,916 instead of 6,000), less than half the intended number of tents, and only a handful of mobile homes.
