You are absolutely correct about the debt!
The bond market has given Trump until 2026 to do something about the massive debt.
Very few people noticed the bond market’s earlier warnings in 2024.
DOGE is just a great cover to reduce gov spending under the waste/fraud category.
If Trump just tried to get congress to cut gov spending he would fail like everybody before him.
But cutting fraud and corruption gets people’s support.
And temporarily silences the spenders in congress.
Later, maybe the support may fade, once people realize tge extent of the cuts.What Trump really needs to do, is stop the use of continuous resolutions, inplace of budgets!
Continuous resolutions locks in the previous years grift/pork.
Budgets require the pork to be added each year as old pork expires.
