The Keynesian Consensus of the post-war years was replaced, at the end of the 1970s, with a New Liberal Ascendancy, most closely associated in the public eye with Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.
This ascendancy then mutated, dating from the 1990s, into a Post-Capitalist Expediency, in which New Liberal economic precepts were abandoned, in all but name, in favour of the preservation, by whatever means, of the post-Keynesian structures of wealth and power.
This transition occurred in conjunction with an economic deceleration identifiable as the precursor stage for the ending of economic growth…

This triggered a wave of stagflation, with economies slumping at the same time as inflation soared…

The principles of liberal market economics had quietly been dropped… ..What happens from here is a contest between the beneficiaries and the opponents of the new system of entitled expediency. The outcome of this iteration of Robert’s paradigm will be determined by economic trends that the authorities and the elites are powerless to control… Relentlessly rising ECoEs (see Fig. 1A) will exert tightening pressure on the surplus (ex-ECoE) energy that is the physical corollary of economic prosperity (Fig. 1B)… ..”Clean” (credit-adjusted) economic output will follow the curve of gross energy supply (Fig. 1D), whilst rising ECoEs will widen the gap between output and prosperity (Figs. 2A and 2B)...The economic aim of governments today is to maintain the status quo by combining an acquiescent sufficiency for the majority with the continued exorbitant privilege of a minority (Fig. 2C). The further the economy contracts, the more difficult this balancing-act becomes. This means that questions of redistribution are poised to return to the top of the political agenda. Abstract: We describe a rare case of TAFRO syndrome that developed after the second vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 (mRNA1273, manufactured by Moderna Co.) in a healthy 26-year-old male.
He developed a prolonged high fever and intermittent non-localized abdominal pain soon after vaccination followed by impaired renal function and thrombocytopenia; as well as assumed cytokine storm due to serum levels of triglyceride and total cholesterol, and high serum levels of ferritin, soluble interleukin 2 receptor, soluble CD14, interleukin 6, and vascular endothelial growth factor. Based on these findings, the patient was diagnosed with TAFRO syndrome. His condition was refractory against glucocorticoid, tocilizumab, and rituximab, and temporary haemodialysis was necessary.

Living in an RV is seen luxury in many places, your average Algerian can’t afford to buy a RV, nor can I, my neighbors in a v. ‘rich’ country (CH), even via ‘lease’ or w.‘debt’ etc.
USA. Any ‘reasonable’ municipal authority would have long ago arranged some ‘areas’ / even ‘services’ for ppl living in cars/RVs/ etc. to be able to ‘camp’ more or less ‘happily.’ One + pt is that the ppl in vehicles can be moved around, avoiding the ‘rough camp’ image, the ‘thrash place’ horror, etc.
The cost would be minimal, moreover one would be ‘helping’, accomodating, ppl who are employees, are working, are students, are children who need school in one place or another, etc. It would be so easy and cheap to do and have positive impact on much……But NO!
The US is collapsing from within, with vicious competition, a murderous class war, easy allowed sadism, discrimination, and perpetual arming and empowering ‘State’ (servants of the rich) policing orgs, to crack down on the poor, the bothersome (no RVs in my street etc…)

I’ve been reading a book called Blink, about rapid cognition. (Split-second decisions based upon instant hunches.) I don’t want to go into all of the details, however, in many cases, this rapid cognition is brilliant and accurate. (It isn’t always, and there are valid reasons….). Juxtaposed against it is the conventional idea that decisions should be based upon detailed analysis, which is very time consuming for humans. However, this careful, detailed analysis is what AI purportedly does, at a fraction of the speed that a human can achieve. Interestingly, AI often is not all that careful, prioritizing speed over accuracy, and it makes mistakes — often huge ones. (Yesterday, an AI responded to my son’s prompt of “What is 10 times 10 times 100?” With “100,000.”). So here is the thing…when human rapid cognition is well-experienced it sifts through available data at amazing speeds, discarding the irrelevant, and returns stunningly accurate evaluations. AI cannot do this, and it is hampered greatly because it has been fed so many flawed datasets and prioritizes “an answer, any answer,” over accuracy. I do not think that AI is going to overcome these obstacles easily.
To “beat” AI, humans must unobservable to AI, (or in control of how/when AI observes them, curating the view that AI has of them,) and rely on both rapid cognition and our ability to discern intuitively between false and accurate information when making measured decisions. Eventually, I do not believe that the homes of the wealthy will be “smart.” They will be the most dumbed-down homes around. It will be the middle classes whose homes are “smart,” and the impoverished will be a hybrid of the two.
