I may be wrong here but I understood that at hypersonic speeds the bow shock was a build up of plasma.
It was due to this plasma build up that radar was absorbed rather than bounced back which is what made them hard to detect. Again if true than I don’t see “dust” as much of a problem. Israel again under fire from Iran, with about 25 missiles launched
