Some notes on encryption. The real issues are not encryption. They are human nature. I prefer to call them topics. The first topic is very familiar. Use an exchange or take delivery. The reason my daughter and I were talking about how her generation can’t afford to buy a house, is because she officially graduated from her 5 year business co-op program on Wednesday.
I noticed that all the immigrants/new Canadian students also graduating, usually had their entire 3 generation family in attendance! For them the graduation ceremony was treated as a very big deal. The younger family members were all formally dressed up in suits etc. Family groups were often 10 to 20 in size. They brought flowers for their daughters.
When their son’s or daughter’s name was announced, they would let out a big cheer!
Clearly, these people were successful because they all live and work together, to overcome the high cost of housing in Toronto.
However, if one doesn’t have good family support, then housing is out of reach, unless one makes a very high income.

My older son has taken the trade route, as an industrial millwright/mechanic.
He is now a boat mechanic and enjoying it, especially as he is no longer living and working in Toronto, but quieter cottage country.
He doesn’t miss the 1 hour job commute required in Toronto.
He has been widening his skills and picking up cash side jobs, like cutting trees, building new stairs, car brakes, etc.
He will do anything people want done!
He has just become a pick up truck guy!
