ParticipantMy Christmas wish has been answered. I know know who the Miker is. (Maybe. No guarantees)
“Crossing a nuclear threshold will open a Pandora’s box”
I mean, yes, but compared to what? If Russia Oreshniks London and Rammstein, do you think no threshhold would be crossed? That is to say, is anything REALLY different now?
That Dima-Krainer video is a repost I believe, which he does regularly, perhaps to keep the algo warm. He merely says what I say: Like Iran it’s too stupid to be stupid, so like Iran, it’s not happening. This was already proven in Iran, but no it wasn’t, because that wouldn’t mean Orange Man Bad. …As it turns out (I guess, was…Joaquin?) they didn’t even hit the site with bunker busters. They were normal scale, pinpricks like Tomahawks. Hmmm. And of course both Iran and Trump thanked each other publicly. But we already have 1 million soldiers in Caracas and are losing 2,000 men an hour, so why are we talking. So you 1) trust and 2) Don’t trust Krainer here?
But these are all appeal to Authority and Experts. Remember: “Subprime is contained”, “Green Shoots”, “Masks and social distancing”, “Weapons of Mass Destruction and ties to al-Qaeda”, “They’ll greet us with flowers”, “Permanently High Plateau”, (and “The internet will never be more than a fax machine” from the greatest Nobel Prize, NYT expert of all time) all of which were the highest experts, and anyone who opposed it were uninformed idiots. Like me. And Raul, for example. Gee, there was a tech boom that busted AND a mortgage bubble from 1% rates? Who could figure except 200,000 websites like this one, and dozens of top experts and traders like Sinclair and Burry. When you post Ritter, Sachs, etc, I only hear the same thing:
Some uninformed dumb-ss said something. So? I can say things too. You can teach a dog to speak. The important part is if they are RIGHT, while everyone out of Harvard for 50 years and everyone on Fox and CNN have been dead Wrong.
I said they would restructure our financial system, reset the currency, strengthening Russia and China, and use silver to do it. This would end Empire that no one here ever wanted. See you in 2029 on that call, I take cash and check, but it’s looking extremely promising so far, just like the mortgage crash and the covid fake was before it. It’s so obvious you can see it from Mars, and I’m making a mint right now.
Merry Christmas. Christ the Jew, Messiah of Jews, King of the Jews, our INRI, has been born.
Here’s the problem: it’s not him, it’s US. As the song says, “And the battle’s just begun / To claim the victory Jesus won.” Will you do that? Live it out in your life now? He’s opened the door and shown the way, but it’s you who must was through it, and with actions of Love and Tolerance.

ParticipantWhen someone, anyone, chooses by action or neglect to throw away something of real value that peculiar behavior tells you something so gob smackingly startling about that person that the tendency (especially at first) is to not even believe it or to feel compelled to explain it all away with psycho-babble or bullshit.
What throwing away value, real value, reveals beyond shadow of doubt is that the person in question simply does not know that the thing they’re throwing away is valuable….. to THEM.
Having never had to make such a valuable item by themselves, and having no idea whatsoever about how to even start producing such value on their own, they simply have no notion of what to even do with the thing, much less make it to use for themselves and so they throw it away or let it fall by the wayside, unlamented as a loss of anything that’s actually worth something.
Give them money, or food, shelter and clothing, or even something enormously valuable such as truth, justice and genuine care …. and they will just piss it all away because they DO NOT KNOW that they need those things in order to survive at all. Like a spoiled brat. And that’s saying it the nice way.
Does anyone in this room think that the things being thrown away by our elites, leaders and rulers are not valuable? Would anyone, even the most decadent elitist, do that if they understood that they were committing physical, mental and spiritual suicide upon themselves?
Forgive them, for they genuinely know not what they do.
Better pray hard that the forgiveness spigot doesn’t get turned off.

ParticipantTake the subject of money, for example. Practically no one actually understands what it is, and when you try to tell them they either get a blank look on their face or else tell you to shut up with all that talk that sounds like nonsense to them (because they’re so busy making money, and don’t have time to listen to your nonsense.)
You’ve all heard the definitions of money until your ears hurt. “It’s storage of value and a medium of exchange or a promissory note of the promise to repay value, yadda, yadda, yadda. Bullshit!
Money is one of the FORMS for symbolizing, that storage (of value), exchange (of value), promises (to repay) or return value) , and “score keeping” can take at some given time. It’s just a formal symbol, it’s not the THING, its not the storage or the exchange or the promises. It’s the symbol of those real things., and symbols can be fucked with all sorts of ways. Not to even mention that the symbols themselves can change or be assigned to things different than the original thing.
What’s valuable is the thing (the storage of value, the medium facilitating exchange, the trustworthiness of the promise. Not the symbol or the bullshit surrounding the symbol.
When you give money for a hamburger when you’re hungry and there’s no other food around it’s because you have the genius IQ required to realize that the food was more valuable to you than the money. I suppose I should modify that statement to say, “more valuable than the money, at that time.”
There is nothing quite as effective in making people see that clearly than what happens to their frame of mind when the things they need start costing more than the money they’ve got or are simply unavailable for purchase at any price. It really makes people sit down and do a serious re-think about what’s really valuable or not.

ParticipantSometimes the world just sloshes with waves of irony. Take the so-called Artificial Intelligence revolution for example. The people building it are touted to be the most intelligent folks around (real rocket surgeons, ya know?) and yet they are so UNINTELLIGENT that they are building the very device that will cost them their lives and fortunes, and wouldn’t even have existed as a threat if those intelligent” guys had not dreamed it up and built it in the first place. That’s intelligent?

ParticipantAt first glance, creating a definition for “life” seems somewhat straightforward. Sentient animals all the way down to single-celled organisms capable of reproduction are welcome on the tree of life, but there are other organisms that challenge this understanding, like viruses. Because virus don’t grow, reproduce on their own, or make their own energy, they’re typically excluded from definitions of life.
Perhaps the most remarkable feature of Sukunaarchaeum is its extreme genome reduction, with only 238,000 base pairs of DNA. Viruses, as Live Science points out, can contain many hundreds of thousands more base pairs, and can even reach up into the millions. As for fellow archaea, the smallest known complete genome within this group stretches to 490,000 base pairs, meaning that Sukunaarchaeum contains less than half the number of base pairs posessed by even the smallest archaeal genome.
“The discovery of Sukunaarchaeum pushes the conventional boundaries of cellular life and highlights the vast unexplored biological novelty within microbial interactions,” the authors wrote. “Further exploration of symbiotic systems may reveal even more extraordinary life forms, reshaping our understanding of cellular evolution.”

A cellular entity retaining only its replicative core: Hidden archaeal lineage with an ultra-reduced genome
Abstract
Defining the minimal genetic requirements for cellular life remains a fundamental question in biology. Genomic exploration continually reveals novel microbial lineages, often exhibiting extreme genome reduction, particularly within symbiotic relationships. Here, we report the discovery of Candidatus Sukunaarchaeum mirabile, a novel archaeon with an unprecedentedly small genome of only 238 kbp —less than half the size of the smallest previously known archaeal genome— from a dinoflagellate-associated microbial community. Phylogenetic analyses place Sukunaarchaeum as a deeply branching lineage within the tree of Archaea, representing a novel major branch distinct from established phyla. Environmental sequence data indicate that sequences closely related to Sukunaarchaeum form a diverse and previously overlooked clade in microbial surveys. Its genome is profoundly stripped-down, lacking virtually all recognizable metabolic pathways, and primarily encoding the machinery for its replicative core: DNA replication, transcription, and translation. This suggests an unprecedented level of metabolic dependence on a host, a condition that challenges the functional distinctions between minimal cellular life and viruses. The discovery of Sukunaarchaeum pushes the conventional boundaries of cellular life and highlights the vast unexplored biological novelty within microbial interactions, suggesting that further exploration of symbiotic systems may reveal even more extraordinary life forms, reshaping our understanding of cellular evolution.December 26, 2025 at 4:19 pm #224414tboc
ParticipantDBS this link leads to a table showing % of US GDP by industry 2013 – 2024 in 2024 dollars.
https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/ERP-2025/pdf/ERP-2025-table8.pdfIn qtr. II 2024 Finance-Insurance-Real Estate-Rental and Leasing accounted for 21.2% of US GDP.
Professional and Business Services were 13.2% of GDP.
Educational Services-Health Care and Social Assistance were responsible for 8.7% of GDP in the same time frame.
One of the components of Taleb’s Black Swan is unpredictablity. How does anyone prepare themself financially for a revaluation of 40% of the US GDP?
Preparing for an unpredictable inevitablility appears as misplaced hope.W.C. Fields joked that he once saved the life of man at a window on the third floor of a burning building. Mr. Fields said he threw the man a rope and pulled him to safety.
