Silver and Gold:
I sense that the spot light is off of silver for now and gold has regained the spot light.
Just a guess, but the reason may be a result of the Yen Carry trade being stopped and unwound due to Japanese government bonds being in the process of blowing up. Japanese gov bonds aren’t so safe anymore!
The artifical suppression of Japanese government bond interest rates is failing, just like suppressed silver prices failed on Black Friday 2025.
So more and more gov artifical financially engineered pricing schemes are failing.

This what happens when a single person or a small moneyed group are allowed to do his own thing in the best Ayn Rand’s meaning of the phrase. There were rare samples throughout the US history that such practice did not go wrong for the ordinary folks and this one is predictable late stage manifestation of such trend where the “do-gooders” are barely concealing the God-complex.
I sense that the spot light is off of silver for now and gold has regained the spot light.
There may well be an attempt to shift the spot light of media and public attention away from silver and back on to gold, but do not be deceived. Silver is the bullet that is ripping into the heart of techno-industrial-financialized civilization.
I’m not downplaying the role of gold as the most historically dependable and stable symbol of money (and thus the financial blood that pumps through the body politic and makes our synthetic systems of organization and production possible) BUT , silver is different than gold in a very important way (vitally important, actually).
Silver is different than gold in the fact that the substance itself, the physical metal, is absolutely essential to the substance and function of our ultra-high-tech-dependent society, and even more so (VERY MUCH more so) now that society and civilization as a whole has become utterly dependent upon electricity, computer based digital control systems, and even communication itself (including the “communication” of money twixt buys, sellers and speculators).
To put it bluntly, without INREASING quantities of affordable silver metal to produce and control electricity, and build the digital computer based “AI Everything” networks that make all of that control even possible, the whole show stops. Just like that. It simply stops because it has run out of a real and physical thing that it utterly depends on and for which there are no substitutes. Silver. The only electrical conductor that is fast and efficient enough to make the microchips and other micro-electrical circuitry which is, literally IS our system.
And the world is currently using up (consumed in such a way that the silver metal cannot realistically be recovered) to the tune of 800 million ounces per year. That’s a deficit of 225 tons, in a world that has only 600,000 tons above ground as processed metal in any form that you can touch. That’s ALL of the silver anywhere, including all the rings, coins, and silverware tucked away in grannies’ cupboards. There is only a fraction of that actually available to industry in forms that they can process and use.
When the last of it is gone then there won’t be any more coming.
The current blow-up is merely one of the early symptoms of what can only be called “slow death by asphyxiation”.
