From the most northern coast of Venezuela to the straits between Jamaica and Haiti is roughly five hundred miles.The distance to Cancun is roughly eleven hundred miles and the trip around Cuba to Key West is either twelve hundred or fouteen hundred miles depending on east or west transit. The boats we see being destroyed are not large enough to carry the fuel for the trip to the Jamaican-Haiti straits, forget about Cancun or Key West.That would seem to indicate the boats are ferrys, if indeed they are carrying drugs bound for the US. Destroying the larger vessel or port where the illicit cargo is being ferried would be a more logical step to slow the drug trade.
There was a time when the citizens of the US learned geography thru war, those days seem to have passed. We the people of The United States are murdering human beings solely for propaganda purpose.
