It’s all about bank collateral
So then, how is Maduro a problem, and Machado the solution? As always, the key element in the geopolitical equation isn’t the resources as such, but resources as collateral. With political control over Caracas, Venezuelan resources would become the collateral of U.S. and other Western banks. Their clients – companies like BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil and even the Venezuelan state itself – would be able to obtain credit secured with Venezuelan oil, gold and other resources. In this way, Venezuela’s natural resource wealth magically turns into profit-generating assets on the balance sheets of banks like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and others…

No one makes you use money. They may coerce you quite a bit, but at the end of the day it is your choice on whether to use money as your primary go-to means of interacting with the world on a day-by-day basis.
Well, that money you’re using is FAKE, and the fakers who fake it (and kill anyone standing in their way) get ALL of their power from it. That’s right. That money is their one and ONLY source of power, and nobody else really needs it EXCEPT them.
Yet you use it (use money) anyway, even though you KNOW that the money is the ONLY thing giving the Liars and killers and thieves the POWER to go on being liars and killers and thieves. We don’t absolutely have to use money to get what we want all day long. We just like the convenience.
We like the convenience so much that we’re willing to experience the criminality of the money owners, to get it.
