If the UNFCCC didn’t notice, they’re irrelevant: thanks to the economic collapse we’re already not burning any oil. Way, way more than they ever would have managed under glad-handed treaties no one had any intention of following (we’re looking at you, China).

Notice that they want to ring-fence Greece, not Lesbos or even Turkey (a NATO and aspiring EU member). So they release a million refugees, then bottle them into Greece. For why? Not for an accident, as it was equally easy to put the borders at sea or in Syria. Easier, even. Won’t this over-run an already hyper-extended Greece and solve the longstanding conflict between Greece and Turkey by making Greece the first protectorate of Erdogan’s new Ottoman aspirations, widely advertized in his election? What’s the play here? How many Greeks will also die in this maneuver? Wait, we already know the answer: no one cares.

There is a simple truth about obesity and that is fat people should not be making kids. It seems the people with the worst genes always reproduce the most while the people who are smartest and best looking reproduce the least. Normally, you would expect evolution to favor mating of people with great attributes instead of those who are at the bottom.

    Babble,

Two things can influence something like obesity: genes and the environment. Obesity rates have shot way up in most contries while the gene pool has not changed, or imperceptibly so. This makes it plain that the source for the increasing obesity is environmental not genetic. Now everyone commutes by car to an office job, then sits down for a supersized barrel of junk or comes home to microwave dinner and stares at a tv or computer screen in the evening.
