The Kendrick piece is depressing, it sounds very much like serious pressure is being exerted on him, so he has to curtail his writings on C19. It might even be worthwhile reading the article more closely as it feels as if there might be something written between the lines.

This is just the point. “Truth” is now an expression of nothing but power. He then also warned that propaganda will work ONLY until you tell open lies, contradictions, or were radically opposed to the people. As this technology has worked endlessly and seamlessly for 100 years, they cannot seem to recognize its limits, thankfully for us and all humankind.

This is related to what I do by being offensive, but only just offensive enough. Being offensive enough makes you sputter, “But but…” and THEN! They have to THINK to create a rebuttal. Not that worried about what it is, SEEING the contradiction and engaging in it with debate is enough. They might continue, sure, but that’s their right. I only break the spell and make the choice visible.

However, it has to engage in FEELING. Not just “because,” but because the technology works on the feeling humans, hijacks their honest caring and good will to evil ends. That’s one of the divides of “Left-Right” (such as it exists at all) and is indeed one of the weaknesses of the Right. However, being mental, not emotional, male, and not female as it were, they are more resistant to this particular, Bernays’, method of hijacking and mental terrorism. What the Right can’t get through is that they need to engage with and make the Left FEEL, because feeling and exposure is antithetical to their nature, and forcing/using it on others is also considered immoral to them.

However, that has been the plan, pushed hard for at least for at least 5 years, but also the Right’s plan as set out in “Atlas Shrugged”, probably followed by Greenspan, Reagan, Paul, etc and the vanishingly few non-RINOs. It’s INCREDIBLY, interminably, annoying, but it does seem to be going okay, and about July last, they made the switch to let Joe show them some more and perhaps stop the civil unrest altogether. Is it working? What is “working”? In a war all plans are terrible or it wouldn’t be a war, but some plans less than others. Did allowing Covid to run but with vaccines break their Narrative? I certainly appears it did.

I don’t have any trouble at all seeing how Kendrick got to where he is. With all the vested interests, political machinations and misinformation, I am pretty much in exactly the same place as Kendrick. There is no institution at this point that will be given both the resources and liberty to conduct “semi-unbiased” research on the issue. Covid has also laid bare the limits to scientific research which have always existed, but went on steroids under covid. Calls to “follow the science”, as if there is some ultimate monolithic answer to be found thru science, were shown to be naive. Science is still the cleanest dirty shirt, but it still has limits as it is applied by humanoids.
Interesting to see China’s turning away from some aspects of capitalism (eg financial speculation on residential real estate). Linking to the article on climate lockdowns, I see a parallel. Are we on the cusp of a move away from a capitalism-centred world?

No, it isn’t the infections that will cause a lot of disruptions in the schools, it is the mandatory quarantines required of the unvaccinated children. “Reality” causes school disruptions, while true reality, if observed, would cause no more disruptions than do the average colds and flus.

My 3 kids just completed their fourth week of school. (Yes, schools start early in Phoenix, AZ.). I the third week, one son was exposed to a student with Covid. The result: essentially, a one week suspension that wasn’t his fault. (And for a week I became his Spanish and geometry teacher.). The fourth week the other son narrowly missed a Covid exposure…in art class for the rest of the week he sat at his desk, and all the students immediately around him were not at school — quarantined. But the vaxxed aren’t required to quarantine, per the cdc, and I can see where this leads: pressure to vax students so that they don’t have to quarantine when exposed. But…we don’t need any of this “reality.” We could go back to true reality and treat Covid like any other minor respiratory illness.

I find myself hoping that the vaxxed students will start obviously passing Covid to one another because they are not required to quarantine so that we can see how stupid this situation is. However, not keeping my hopes up because the infection is simply too mild in most cases, especially with teens.

I am trying to chart a course where I balance fighting “reality” with my commitments to my children.
– my daughter is depressed, but talks with me. She insists on masking in stores, etc., and sometimes asks me to as well when she is with me. My relationship with my troubled daughter is more important than fighting “reality”…but it rankles me. I am contemplating ignoring the mask mandate when I am in her school’s office — but is that a good idea? I need the school people to see me in a positive light, to take what I say about my daughter seriously, and I know that her father will put me down to others and try to win them to his side against me. He did this in the past, and the legal fight that ensued has me deeply in debt. Of course, it is also possible that the school staff agrees with me about the district’s illegal mask mandate (violates Arizona law), can’t afford to defy it, because they need the income and may appreciate my open defiance.
– I am self-employed, which means that my income is largely tied to the relationships that I establish with clients. The upshot: no one can mandate that I be vaxxed. The downside: no one is obligated to engage my services. Fortunately, at least half of my work was remotely done before the start of the pandemic. I find when on-site that I am a chameleon, masking or not as preferred by the client. I have three children that depend on me to provide life’s necessaries. I can’t afford to jeopardize my income.

I’d suggest that while there is certainly plenty of opposite information, I disagree about calling all of it “facts” and I disagree that there is equality in the information. Yes, there are studies that suggest ivermectin is helpful for Covid and studies that suggest that it is not. That doesn’t mean that the studies are equivalent.
