I just recovered from my second multiday TAE outage.

The first one was probably due to the bogus redirect when you switched from .org to .com. I’d seen the announcement, but expected a cname so I could still use my history.

This time however, the redirect was working, but theautomaticearth.com was not resolving. I’m on a winbox, so the native tools are crippled, but nslookup was failing too, which is why I think it was DNS rather than inaccessible server.

If it happens again, I’ll either find a linux box or install cygwin, so I’ve got a prayer of finding the problem.

Ahh, now I understand what happened to the look of the blog. I had the bookmark still at dot org.

    Thanks for the clue.
