    people never influence “their” government,

    but

    governments occasionally influence “their” people.

and when this happens, bad things inevitably occur.

examples that come to my late sundaynight mind:

    germany, 1930s
    usa, after 9/11
    israel, now

after 9/11, a u.s. army warthog flying death ac-whatever spent an eternity blasting away at an afghani hostipal in the north where they speak farsi.

(the army said it was loaded with pashtun taliban.)

would it be wise for me to lookin’good the destruction of henry ford hospital in detroit in retaliation?

babies never have a choice. none of this is necessary.

    dear mr cat:

it seems there is some confusion. sorry you had to use all caps, bold and italic.

i usually save that stuff for doc d.

i was directing my karmic thought towards you, cat, as a (hopefully human) human, and i no way defending the indefensible.

i despise all violence – removing the israeli government, one of the most wretched entities ever imposed upon the gullible is, obviously a path towards peace. but removing it through these means will tear apart the hearts and dreams and souls of innocents everywhere.

    i cannot relish in that.

if i had been here on the night of hiroshima, i would not have said, “lookin’ good”, despite the japanese empire’s many sins in china, for example.

please take no offense and may peace be upon you.

    ••••••••

every “national” government in my mind is an anachronism, some are bad, some are worse.

the one installed in the levant is especially wicked, no doubt.

but if your wicked government (wherever you may reside, it is wicked) installs some military crap in the hospital while you’re in the maternity ward with your baby

and another wicked government (whichever else; same ol’, same ol’) blasts away at said hospital with said your baby,

well, that kinda really, really sucks.

    it does not lookin’ good.

it actually lookins really, really horrible.

to relish in that lowers one to the level of the lawn mowers of gaza.

and down there it sure smells of sulphur.

    ciao, bravo gatto

uh, you might not believe in karma, but karma believes in you.

hospitals tend to have infants in them, none of whom could possibly be complicit in the crimes of their “government”.

thems a lot of electrons, sir doc.

but this, “Being overwhelmingly anti-zionist means I’m a zionist. Being old-school General Washington, American anti-interventionist means I support Empire. ”

    is finally something clear!

    as in, understandable.

    nice.

    now, live up to it.

general washington wasn’t a pragmatist who shuffled words and justifications and obsufadftcations,

    no,

he was a rich dude who went and convinced poor people to go kick other rich dudes’ poor people’s butts

    for freedom!

    he acted clearly!

    •••••••

“overwhelmingly anti-zionist” means you will never voice support, agreement, accordance or accordionance

with anyone, place, thing or politician

that has been sullied by the foul touch

    of miriam adelson,

be it a casino, maverick, or trump

    however

    practical, pragmatic or “possible”

    it may be.

    yuck.

Anti-war protesters march on US and Israeli embassies in Athens

More than 1,000 demonstrators have marched to the US and Israeli embassies in Athens to protest against strikes in Iran.

Demonstrators mainly affiliated to the Greek Communist Party held ‌banners and placards reading “Hands off Iran” and “close Souda base”.

Greece on Saturday tightened security in Souda naval base on the island of Crete, a strategic facility for the United States in the eastern Mediterranean.

The US and Israeli embassies were cordoned off with rows of blue police buses.

Police sources estimated ‌the number of protesters at more than 1,300.

    actually, america had excellent scientists.

    to wit:

    Overview of Ancient Mayan Science
The ancient Maya civilization was known for its advanced understanding of various scientific fields, particularly astronomy, mathematics, and agriculture. Their achievements laid the groundwork for many modern scientific concepts.

    Astronomy
    Celestial Observations
The Maya meticulously observed celestial bodies, including the sun, moon, and planets.
They developed a calendar system that accurately tracked celestial movements, which was crucial for agricultural and ceremonial purposes.
    Calendar Systems
The Maya created three interrelated calendars: the Tzolkin (260 days), the Haab (365 days), and the Long Count.
These calendars helped them predict solar eclipses and other astronomical events.
    Mathematics
    Numerical Innovations
The Maya were among the first to use the concept of zero, which was revolutionary for mathematics.
They employed a vigesimal (base-20) number system, allowing for complex calculations.
    Agriculture
    Advanced Techniques
The Maya utilized various agricultural methods, including raised fields and terracing, to maximize crop yields.
They cultivated staple crops like maize, beans, and squash, which supported large populations.
    Water Management
The Maya developed sophisticated water management systems, including underground reservoirs and filtration systems, to ensure a reliable water supply.
    Conclusion
The scientific achievements of the ancient Maya reflect their deep understanding of the natural world. Their contributions to astronomy, mathematics, and agriculture continue to influence modern science and culture.
