Participant“Prof. John Mearsheimer tells @ggreenwald why he doubts a new nuclear deal is possible:”
They keep saying this, but that deosn’t mean it’s bad, it DIFFERENT. We made all these deals for 100 years and just didn’t follow them, dummy. TODAY, this very day, AIEA is being kicked out for double-crossing Iran, and you want ANOTHER deal, based on the old standards?
How Westphalia. Under Westphalia, everyone would gang up on you for doing appalling, bad dealing and war crimes, but that requires ANY of the members to actually appose it. All the nations actually approve, so who enforces?
What Trump is doing, or any nation (Russia) is to set long-term realities that are so solid, no swap in administration or outlook can just reverse them. And ruining the very IDEA of treating with the U.S. Britian, etc is one of them. Running down the military literally, so we have no bombs even if you wanted to use them, is another. Etc.
His outlook is like 1959, while also not accurately remembering we double-crossed everyone we met (The Hungarians) in 1959.
“it requires weeks to accumulate the necessary data to make such an assessment,”
Therefore it’s a Narrative, P.R. Op, and not a military act.
“the Pentagon has been working intensely on the operation, particularly to take out the Fordow site, for-15 years.”
Showing that no Trump matters, all Ops continue on despite any and all voting, as Gen Clark said. Again, the only cure for this is to change those planners and their realities, not sign things. No funding for B2s = No B2 bombing runs. This can’t be reversed overnight, ask Europe.
“Russia has stressed that any lasting agreement must reflect the current battlefield realities and Ukrainian neutrality.”
He means that it’s not just paper. Paper can be reversed.
“HOLY SHIT It’s happening.”
“By the Law of Nothing Ever Happens…”What’s happening? We had a war that didn’t happen, and now a peace that didn’t’ happen? You do know lies are different than reality, right? Saying things ≠ doing them.
“In total over 630 Iranians died and thousands were injured in the strikes,”
This is all bulls-t but apparently humans won’t be satisfied with any other. Being one of the 650 killed when they put on a puppet show is like being the last guy killed in the war. A few hours after the ceasefire. Don’t be that guy.
“Why do so many CIA and MI6 officers (retired) know and say so much about the damage Israel and the US have inflicted on Iran since they began their war on June 13, but so little about the damage Iran has inflicted on Israel?
You need ask? Because like Ukraine, Israel blew up 100% of all missiles ever shot in all history, minus just that one you saw from your apartment. Amen.
Btw, all the blowing up through all Kiev is the Ukrainians themselves. How? Easy: they keep shooting Patriot missiles like candy, and like every other bullet, every single one that’s shot hits the ground. And not in Belgorod. Want to tell me why you keep shooting massive missiles OVER a residential, whole city, knowing they hit the ground? Who do you THINK was hitting Kiev? In fact, the Russian missiles are MORE likely to hit a military target than you are, given this setup.
…And back to Israel, same thing I would expect. Not every defense can be put in a desert on the East side. Every other one – around the base that’s next to the hospital – are in the city and land somewhere.
Today’s reports: same as yesterday and three days now, which is good I guess.
““Accepting a country that is at war with Russia would immediately drag the EU into a direct conflict. It is unfair to expect any member state to take this risk..,”Still on Plan A, nothing’s changed. But why should it? They’re on Plan A for bombing Iran, probably set up in 1980 and a half. They just ran that Plan A 45 years later. But Plan A for NATO is 1) You can’t add a country at all. 2) It needs unanimous consent iirc 3) You can’t add them if they’re in a war or borders under dispute by law.
Everyone just ignores that this is their own charter and their own rules – don’t even bother to change them, which they could in an afternoon. Law? Rules? What’s that? That’s #Logos and our arch-enemy.
“They don’t want to talk; they want to fight – but only if Trump does too… “
Sort of. They “Want” to fight? But then get no troops, no guns, don’t march anywhere. They want to TALK about fighting. Not lift a finger themselves, as they are Socialists. That means only Capitalists do work, and the only remaining residual Capitalists are the United States. THEY need to fight, die, and be destroyed. Not a single European must die.
…Otherwise, tell me what they’re doing there. They’re fighting a fight they’re not fighting? With no men and 8 guns? Screw Greenland: Trump should send the Girl Scouts of America to conquer and occupy England. They have more troops.
“when the specter of a blocked Hormuz destroying the global economy became real, he went TACO.”
Bombing a sovereign nation, ally of two nuclear powers, on their nuclear sites, with no act of war or approval is TACO: Chickening Out. Whose side are you on, Pepe? Hey, ol Pepe here says there wasn’t enough bombing, he wants much, much more. Bombing sovereign nations with the biggest bombs we have, perhaps the biggest in the world, is the realm of true cowards. Dude, do words even HAVE meanings anymore?
Nope: I made fun of Trump. I made him feel bad, he ran home and will bite his pillow. That’s the only thing that matters.
“We now know that the Iranians warned the Americans beforehand and so are we led to believe that there is a cordial, if not amiable, relationship in place between Iran and the U.S.? What are we witnessing exactly?”So Iran and Trump are on “the same side” and Pepe doesn’t notice, as he’s now been committed to a cell with TDS?
“Trump Plans Mass Dismissal Of Asylum Claims, Fast-Track Deportations (ZH)
Well I would think so! Almost all claims of asylum are transparent bulls—t. Like I said, true Asylum is vanishingly rare, like you could get 5 ppl per country per year. You could easily just reject them all and if one slips through and is a scandal, go “oops.” Because there will be less than ten.
“Foreign language ads with promises of free stuff is how you win now in New York City. Realize where we are.”
First order of business: He’s going to close every immigrant owned Bodega in the whole city, savaging the wealth of every Muslim. Nice start. Whose side are you on again?
Oh and his top platform is no police. I’m sure that’ll all work out great.

ParticipantWhat’s the panic about socialism? The USA’s biggest and most successful companies are monopolies nurtured by the government; Tesla, SpaceX, Boeing, Google, Meta, Blackcock … stop me when we get to a company that does not suckle on a government teat. All the billionaires are looking for handouts from the government. The banks just got a raise in their capital loans ratio, the risk will be dumped on the tax payer, their arses covered by government. Yet people on social media are now complaining about soclialism because it has spread from the elites down to the plebs? Hey, if the elites are being handled billions then surely the plebs deserve something as well …. dumb people, why do you think the elites are now so much richer than the plebs, maybe it was the government giving them social welfare checks bigger than your social welfare check, just maybe. People are stupid, socialism is the ONLY way to get your money back from the rich who are stealing your money.

ParticipantTopcat if it’s the second mouse that gets the cheese, is it the second socialist that gets your wallet?
I don’t know. Would be a good idea to have some kind of a spread sheet that actually shows where the stolen money from your wallet goes.
For example: In Cali 2.4 bill, I think, to solve the homeless problem. Barely few, close to $1 mil per, built. Hardly a giveaway to the “according to their needs”. Now we can debate as how to call the scoundrels who took the money and run. And, then, there is a mighty MIC…bloated MED-mafia….bank casino bailouts….

ICE, ICE Baby: Denver City Council Ends Car Theft Tracking System To Protect Illegal Immigrants
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/ice-ice-baby-denver-city-council-ends-car-theft-tracking-system-protect-illegalAfter the hotel full of migrants 100 yards away, the wife is on board to move somewhere not in the jurisdiction of Denver.
That system resulted in the recovery of 170 stolen cars and 300 arrests. It is also credited with key evidence in the investigation of hit-and-run and murder cases.
However, it could also be used to assist ICE
Unanimous city council vote removing it.
We’re living in an era where just this last week, actually, an executive order came out instructing the Department of Justice and the FBI to look for reasons to prosecute local elected officials and activists who they believe are, quote, unquote, obstructing ICE enforcement.
Reasons like, you actually obstructing ICE enforcement? Reasons like that, mayor?
Did your pledge to raise an army of tens of thousands to obstruct ICE – a number cited which, curiously, matched the number of illegal migrants you previously cited proudly as having welcomed – maybe, do you think, might that have raised suspicions that people in your government were obstructing ICE enforcement?
But noticing is the absolute worst thing a Big Meanie can do?

Where are the buyers of the +$ one million house owned by the retiring baby boomers who want to downsize?New entrants to the workforce—especially younger generations—are facing a tough housing landscape, and it’s reshaping the entire market.
Here’s the crux of it: while Boomers are sitting on high-equity homes, many new workers are grappling with high home prices, rising interest rates, and stagnant wages. That makes it incredibly difficult for them to step into the housing market, let alone buy a million-dollar home.
Some key dynamics at play:
– Affordability barriers: Even with good jobs, many younger workers can’t qualify for large mortgages under current lending rules.
– Student debt and cost of living: These eat into savings that could go toward a down payment.
– Shift in preferences: Many are opting to rent longer, live with family, or co-buy with friends or partners.
– Labour market mismatch: There’s a shortage of skilled tradespeople, yet many new grads are entering fields that don’t align with housing demand—like construction.
Interestingly, Canada is trying to address this by encouraging more youth and immigrants into skilled trades, streamlining credential recognition, and even exploring modular housing to reduce labor needs.
So while the new workforce isn’t snapping up million-dollar homes en masse, they’re still a crucial part of the housing puzzle—just in different ways than previous generations. Want to explore how this might evolve over the next decade?YES!
Let’s fast-forward a decade and imagine how the housing market might evolve for new workforce entrants like recent grads, young professionals, and skilled tradespeople. Here’s what the future could look like:
1. A Shift Toward Smaller, Smarter Homes
With affordability still a major hurdle, we’ll likely see a boom in:
– Modular and prefab housing: Faster to build, more cost-effective, and increasingly stylish.
– Co-living and multi-generational homes: Shared spaces with private quarters to reduce costs and foster community.
– Micro-units in urban cores: Compact, tech-enabled apartments designed for solo living.
2. A Workforce Built to Build
Canada needs 3.5 million more homes by 2030 to restore affordability. That means:
– Massive demand for skilled trades—carpenters, electricians, HVAC techs, and more.
– Immigration reform and training programs to bring in and upskill workers.
– Incentives for youth to enter construction and related fields, with better pay and career pathways.
3. Work-from-Anywhere = Live-Anywhere
Hybrid and remote work will continue to reshape housing demand:
– Secondary cities and rural areas will attract young buyers priced out of major metros.
– Flexible housing—think home offices, soundproof pods, and adaptable layouts—will become standard.
4. Sustainability as a Standard
Younger buyers are demanding:
– Energy-efficient homes with solar panels, heat pumps, and smart thermostats.
– Walkable neighborhoods with access to transit, green space, and local amenities.
5. Ownership Redefined
The traditional path to homeownership may give way to:
– Rent-to-own models
– Fractional ownership (think: real estate co-ops or tokenized property shares)
– Long-term rentals with equity incentives
In short, the next generation isn’t just inheriting the housing market—they’re reinventing it.

ParticipantAndrei Martyanov on Western “strategy”
“After being blackmailed at the #NATO summit by the United States and its docile poodle Mark Rutte, Von der Leyen’s European Union wants to squander €650 billion to buy American weapons and declare war on #Russia.
France [however] must withdraw from NATO’s integrated military command and restore its total independence in defense matters. [Frence’s] deterrence must remain NATIONAL, and the future combat aircraft must be FRENCH.”
LOL
1. I write about US military impotence for years.
US cannot fight serious war (it never could after 1945), hence 1971 Nixon’s jumping off the gold standard–even Vietnam demanded resources which mighty US didn’t have.
2. Operationally and technologically (I am tired repeating this ad nauseam) the US lost the arms race and in critical combat technologies trails Russia by generation or two, e.g. Air Defense, long-range fires and operational and strategic planning.
3. The only idea which was always there, was to channel European’s natural paranoia and Russophobia into proper activity of trying to fight Russia again and then get the final solution of Europe being turned into the parking lot.
4. US, meanwhile, as the “plan” goes, will sell its expensive and “100% effective” junk to European morons who are destined to be wholesale exterminated at the front (those who will get there) and beyond.
Considering the kindergarten level of Washington’s “strategerists” the idea is for European cannon fodder to die for the US, while the US enjoys the benefits. Typical US-level “planning”.

ParticipantI got a reply from Senator John Hickenlooper – to my email requesting an account of the dollar value of everything we have given Israel and what they have given us in return MINUS assistance from them aligned with their own interests, MINUS any Israeli assistance dealing with blowback from giving them assistance or aligning ourselves with their interests.
It was a statement about how horrified he is by the October Hamas attack, reassuring me how we will prevent another one. It describes Israel as our closest ally. But they are “adamant that Israel must obey international law including allowing aid into Gaza and protecting civilians from harm”
it was from a donotreply email address, so I couldn’t explain in reply that my email was about funding and accounting the cost-benefit blanace, with an aside that if we hadn’t given Israel money, maybe they wouldn’t have had the money to fund Hamas and then Israel wouldn’t have the current troubles with the Hamas that they funded.
