U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression.

More explosions reported in Bandar Abbas
Iran’s Mehr news agency is reporting more explosions in Bandar Abbas, adding that the explosions were linked to an attack in the eastern part of the city.

The Iranians had been bracing for this since the afternoon, since the Americans began to talk about a new wave of strikes.

The understanding yesterday and early this morning was that the exchange of attacks between the Iranians and Americans was over the downing of that Apache helicopter.

Both sides announced the end of their operations with regard to that situation. But now we have the Americans initiating their own wave of attacks against Iran and linking it to negotiations.

They seem to be impatient and unhappy about the pace of talks.

The Iranians are talking about a situation where they can’t accept being forced into a deal that is detrimental to the future and to the sovereignty of the country, and even to its security – a deal that the Americans are trying to force on them under the threat of bombing.
