– Role: Designed to penetrate modern air defenses and strike regional targets including Israel and U.S. bases.– The missile’s range puts all of Israel, U.S. Gulf bases, and parts of NATO Europe within reach.
– Iranian sources claim it could reach Israel in 10–12 minutes.
Deploying the missile in underground facilities is intended to give the Revolutionary Guards a “second strike” capability and high survivability in the event of a preemptive attack on Iran’s nuclear or missile facilities.
