Sen. Johnson Says Deficit Is Mortgaging Children’s’ Future (jTN)

Johnson said instead of one “big beautiful bill” the lawmakers should have been broken the various Trump policy initiatives down into a multistep process. He said in a previous interview with Just the News that the legislative package should be broken up into three parts: border security, defense funding and extending the current tax code. “I’ve always been in favor of a multistep process,” Johnson said. “Focus on the areas of agreement. That’s the border [and] defense. Take whatever spending reductions we can get. The Senate and our budget proposal said $850 billion.”

Johnson said the U.S. had to return to the lower levels of pre-pandemic spending in order to get the country back on track. “We have to return to pre-pandemic level spending,” he said. “I think more Americans are aware of the fact, because they just experienced four-year high inflation [and] the devaluation of their dollar, that we’ve got to get this under control.”

Musk and Trump Part Ways, but Vow to Continue Work of DOGE (DS)

President Donald Trump bade farewell to Elon Musk in the Oval Office on Friday, telling reporters that the Department of Government Efficiency’s work would continue even after the end of Musk’s service as a special government employee. “Elon has worked tirelessly, helping lead the most sweeping and consequential government reform program in generations,” Trump said. “The numbers that we’re talking about are substantial, but they’re going to be very much more substantial with time,” he said. “The numbers could double and triple. Trump also said Congress would work with the White House to update the federal government’s computer systems. Additionally, he said Congress would work to formally codify DOGE’s spending cuts into law.

The White House has not yet formally sent Congress a rescissions package to do so, which would allow for the cancellation of discretionary spending through a simple majority vote in both houses. “We’re totally committed to making the DOGE cuts permanent … . Most of it’s going to come later. We’re going to have it [codified] by Congress,” Trump said. Musk thanked Trump for his support throughout the industrialist’s time in government and told reporters that DOGE’s work would continue. “This is not the end of DOGE,” he said. “The DOGE influence will only grow stronger … I’m confident that over time, we’ll see … $1 trillion of waste and fraud reduction.”

Asked what he expected his future relationship with Trump would be, Musk told reporters that he expected to remain in communication with the president.“I expect to continue to provide advice, whatever the president would like,” Musk said. Trump quipped in response, “I hope so!” Musk concluded, “I expect to remain a friend and an adviser, and certainly if there’s anything the president wants me to do, I’m at the president’s service.”

Musk Denies Drug Addiction

US billionaire Elon Musk denied that he was on ketamine, responding to relevant allegations.=”I’m not on ketamine,” Musk said in response to US programmer Paul Graham on X, who in turn commented on another user’s post from March 22 with a video of a dinner in which Musk made a figure resembling a spaceship out of forks and spoons. The user wrote above the video that Musk had allegedly been under the influence of ketamine. Paul Graham wrote in response to the post that you don’t need to be under the influence of ketamine to make such a figure.

Musk later made another post on X, in which he criticized a New York Times article that the businessman had allegedly taken drugs when he became one of US President Donald Trump’s closest allies. “I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their **s off. I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then,” the entrepreneur said in a separate post. In 2023, the Wall Street Journal published an article claiming that Musk was taking ketamine. In January 2024, the publication reported, citing sources, that Musk continued to use a variety of drugs, especially ketamine, which could have serious consequences not only for his health, but also for the companies under his leadership.

When it comes to trade (or any human interaction), barter is the first process. When you barter you quickly earn that the most important bit of information is “how much do you want this?” So desire is the core of barter.
It follows that when we tell amazon or goggle or AI what we want, they have the most important information that can be had in any transaction.
Desire is the energy in the thermodynamic equation of human interaction.

@TDK: It’s not really fair to ding the Slant-Six (Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler Co.) in the manner which you did because the design objectives, fuels and lubricants were different in 1966, as you documented.
Setting aside the fuel and lubricant issues:
The Slant-Six could be and later was fuel-injected, which is typically more efficient in every way, if properly set up as a system, with an oxygen sensor in the exhaust to fine-tune fuel-air mixture.
One very nice efficiency benefit of an inline 6 cylinder engine is that a power pulse occurs every 120 degrees of crank rotation, and that primary and secondary balancing of the rotating and reciprocating system is inherent. That’s why straight-six engines have always been prominent in big Diesel rigs.
Later, in the 1970s, a more compact design of V-6 engines became prominent, due to making cars more compact, packing things tighter under the hood.
In the 1950s & 1960s straight six engines were the efficiency and reliability baseline choices in American cars. They were not replaced for being not-good, but mainly for being a bit heavier and larger for the horsepower they would make than inline 4 cylinder and V-6 engines. They are still some of the longest lasting engines ever made for American vehicles, and vehicles containing some of them are specifically sought after for their reliability (Jeep Wagoneer with slant six, for instance).

    @ Germ

    Informative article.
The graph makes it clear…heart attacks went up in 2021. Let’s think…can it just be Covid? Unlikely, that officially started at the beginning of 2020 (was circulating prior to that.). Can it be recreational cannabis use? Could be a contributing factor, but the method cited would show up as a high blood pressure increase, and cannabis use went up gradually over the course of a couple of decades. Additionally, cannabis use increased in some states sooner than others, so if it were a major contributing factor there would be staggered increases from state to state that would roughly correlate to changes in state laws regarding cannabis. The article says that “1 in 200,000” get myo- or pericarditis from the Covid shots. Hmm… I don’t think their metric could be accurate. I don’t know that many people, and yet in my circle I am personally acquainted with two people who were confirmed to have gotten myocarditis from the Covid shots. I am certainly not well-acquainted with 400,000 people who took the clot shot.

Ukraine had a very big day causing strategic military damage in Russia:
First, they took out 2 railroad bridges that Russia was using to supply Russian troops assaulting the Sumy region, apparently placed by the sabotage group that Russia picked up returning to Ukraine on May 21.

Next, 10 semi tractor-trailers full of Ukrainian drones were driven through Russia, both to Murmansk (near Finland and Denmark, far north) and to Russia’s far east, where they tore the hell out of 2 airfields. The other 8 semis did not connect. A lot of Russian civilians swarmed at least a couple of the Ukrainian drone semis in patriotic fervor.
Military Summary has the details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6dz0Mhz2wc
Russia and Ukraine will both show up for peace talks in Istanbul tomorrow morning.
I hope they can be constructive.

The Houthis in Yemen are now saying they have missiles with warheads that split to hit multiple targets, which they will start using in upcoming attacks.

The Ministry of Defense in Sana’a revealed the development of fission missile warheads capable of bypassing Israeli interception systems, confirming that they will be used in the upcoming attacks against targets inside the occupied entity…

The source confirmed that the new Yemeni missiles are designed with advanced technology, where the warheads split upon interception to hit multiple targets, making the Israeli defense systems useless against them.

Boy is the Internet aglow with self-congratulations about bombing Russia. Whew! Good thing it’s not like anything bad can happen, or any consequences will have to be paid by the Peanut Gallery. Nope! War is a spectator sport.

“U2’s Bono Claims: “300,000 Dead After USAID Cuts”

Wow, that was fast. So in 30 days 300,00 dead, 10,000 a day, when there’s no money to kill them with. Huh. No, like other stories, that was it, no details.

“Biden Unaware Of Executive Orders ‘Signed’ By Autopen; Report
“He looks at me, stunned, and he said, ‘I didn’t do that…’”

Well that answers that question. Guys? Why don’t you just ask? Did he retire on a distant planet like Thanos? No, they couldn’t figure out how to “ask” because they already knew the answer.

“Zelensky Boasts of ‘Absolutely Brilliant’ Longest Range Strikes while Kremlin Confirms ‘Terrorist Attacks’

So: double nuclear attack on Russia. I’m sure that wasn’t dangerous and will all work out well. Howso? Both the airplanes and the sub base are nuclear. That means there are/were nuclear + Bombs there. And you decided to attack them. That also means that you are attacking/halting Russia’s nuclear response, which is the first and only step in a full worldwide nuclear armegeddon. So anyone ATTACKING this is perceived as a nuclear first strike, perhaps rationally. …As was said only last year when they did many things, including taking out their over-horizon-radar.

So…attack planned and items moved continually for 1.5 years and…no one in the U.S. knewd anything about it? Yup, nobody in Germany, MI6, CIA, knew a single thing about it at all. OR! As I bet everyone here will say, Trump knew all about it, planned it, green lighted it, and it’s all his fault.
…Or maybe since Congress has done nothing, from DOGE or anything else, the government still isn’t under Trump’s control much at all, and they’re still ignoring him only slightly less than ever?

Speaking of, Bongino, Bondi, etc, so we want them to do ANYTHING about … well, anything, but the Epstein files for one. …And you think they could release the flight list before they get a budget through Congress when the only way they get that vote is to blackmail them USING Epstein? Sure, I’m going to release a list that knocks out 1/3rd of all Congress just BEFORE I have a vote that locks me in ‘til the midterms, instead of AFTER when I can arrest them all.

Okay, that said, guess what? Tomorrow never comes. There’s always more reasons to blackmail tomorrow, the math is always the same. That’s why this is the One Ring and can’t be tolerated. But that’s only going to come from US losing our patience – which we mostly have – and rolling heads for anyone in the way, including Patel and Bongino, which I’m happy to start with.

Speaking of budgets, so I hear Canada is running a $500B spending with no budget? Just kinda, maybe later, if we sorta feel like getting around to it and the creek don’t rise? With all the same cabinet, etc, AND suspend parliament if they feelz like it? Riiiiight. I won’t even bother to ask, because they’re so locked up, so owned, so corrupt THEY DON’T EVEN BOTHER TO MAKE A COVER STORY. That’s how little they think of you Canadians. This isn’t even a careless, bad, I-know-you-know cover story about you catching me with that crack whore on the kitchen floor. This is a “I’m tired, I didn’t bother, can’t be arsed to make an excuse.” It’s your country, don’t let me stop you. From victory laps about how you put Trump in his place by having Trump endorse Carney and signing anything put in front of him, it seems. Sheesh.

Speaking of Canada, Higher Taxes in England, hurrah! You’re all saved! Just what you always wanted, and always makes higher growth and more prosperity! …At the same time UK admits they’ve lost all control of their borders, with 1,200 landing DAILY, all put aboard with the help of the French police…who Starmer just paid $500M to France for them expressly not to do. No wonder they call him “Kid Starver” now.

I’m sure a nuclear nation with no borders at all won’t be a problem or nothin’. Ask me how I know.

“Punitive Politics And Economic Self-Harm – Germany Plans Special Tax On U.S. Tech Giants

Hey, is this the kind of “Tariff/Not Tariff” that Trump was telling Europe to knock it off about?

Late day notes: WHY wehere the Tupalev Bombers sitting out on the airfeild in plain sight of drones and satellites? Uhhh…Because of SALT II Nuclear treaty? They’re supposed to stay in view to be counted? Russia was FOLLOWING the treaty? And, um, NATO wasn’t? Because: Bombs? THIS is the level of how antagonizing the West is, where “Only the Victim Wins!!!” Israel: victim. Ukraine: Victim. Europe: Victim, big bad orange man makes them buy and army and defend themselves.
The more you suck, the better you are! That the magic of “Socialism”! The only bad things in the world are wealth, strength and competency. The less you have the more we take.
