About Carlisle and the flooding. I lived there for a year – 13 years ago. There was a big flood a few months after we left. Warwick Road is very much an up-market area – very middle class. BTW, I have never seen so many fat single mothers as in Carlisle.

It seems to me, just like Nicole used to point out, that the centre of England is grabbing all the resources and the periphery – places like Carlisle – are being abandoned. If you don’t maintain your Victorian infrastructure, there is little point in investing in housing and so on.

About Saudi Arabia and Iran. The MSM of the West has done a stellar job of lying about what happened during the last Haj pilgrimage to Mecca. Some 1,800 were killed – and not by some freak accident. It was all carefully planned with Saudi and Israeli agents killing Iranian pilgrims on their death-list. The bodies disappeared. A large number of Iranian senior politicians and civil servants were kidnapped and tortured to death.

Here is a fuller explanation of what went on (in French):

“L’Arabie saoudite a bien enlevé des collaborateurs de l’ayatollah Khamenei”

The Iranians, like the Russians and so very unlike Westerners, did not make a big song and dance about it. However, you can be absolutely certain that there will be an accounting and the Saudi royal family is going to pay a heavy price.

Just remember that what eventually happened when the Americans deliberately shot down an Iranian civilian jet – with the loss of 290 people.

The Iranians got even by blowing up an American jet with the loss of 270 people and Pan Am went bust. Of course, the Americans could not admit that it was a tit-for-tat and the Libyans got the blame although there was not such evidence.
