Today a $20,000 Iranian drone destroyed a $1 Billion UAE aircraft….
The UAE has officially lost its advanced early warning and air surveillance aircraft, the Saab GlobalEye.
Valued at nearly $1 billion, it was reportedly destroyed by a drone costing no more than $20,000.

Yesterday, news from Iran indicated that they had arrested 200 to 500 people as spies.
Most likely, these are Iranians trying to provide geolocations of IRGC positions.I have to wonder how effective this part of the war really is?
IRGC can easily monitor cell phones providing geolocations.
Also IRGC could simply flood this program with bogus geolocations.Trying to kill small groups of IRGC using long distance stand-off missiles seems like a losing proposition.

Today, the New York Times reported that the last week’s fire on the aircraft carrier USS Ford “took more than 30 hours for sailors to put out” and “by the time it was over, more than 600 sailors and crew members had lost their beds and have since been bunking down on floors and tables.”
“The officials and sailors interviewed for this article spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.”
The NYT repeated the earlier claim that only two sailors received treatment for injuries, despite the report today that a third sailor was injured and evacuated off the ship for medical treatment (“Third injured sailor flown off USS Gerald R. Ford after fire unrelated to combat” article in Stars and Stripes today.)
Even if it really was a laundry vent fire that took more than 30 hours to fight, could it be that the evacuated sailor was actually a wounded special forces team member, and last week’s fire made a good cover for his medevac?

tl;dr US marines will capture Kharg Island so the US can control the flow of oil through the straits and force the world back onto the petrodollar.
She may be right about the strategic logic. Can’t say for sure. But what stands out is that she is totally unapologetic about this use of raw power half way around the world to keep the petrodollar because it keeps America in the driver seat. The world we live in.
