Aircraft carrier USS Ford reported to be leaving Red Sea and heading away from Iran to Crete.

USS Ford heads to Greek port days after fire that raged for over 30 hours: Report

Washington’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford, is returning from the Red Sea to the Greek island of Crete for refueling, and to probe the recent fire which erupted on board the ship days ago, Greek media reported on 17 March.

    Per Doc Robinson’s link

NYT reported on 16 March that the fire took more than 30 hours to extinguish. Dozens on board were subjected to smoke inhalation, while over 600 had their beds destroyed as a result of the fire, which began in the ship’s laundry area.

A laundry fire, thanks God, did not sink the ship and repeat office tower issue of 9/11.

I recall my visit to USS Midway, a docked carrier museum in San Diego harbor. Impressive behemoth made of steel and heavily compartmentalized as I see just for the protective capabilities.

That silly tweet from Newt Gingrich about by-passing the Straits of Hormuz by blasting a new canal to by-pass it, is worthy of careful examination, because seldom is the time that you can see the jaw dropping level of insane stupidity laid out so plainly to see.

This asshole Gingrich is a TOP OF THE LIST card carrying club member of the brain trust thought leaders The current American Imperial court. He’s counted as one of the smart ones.

That should be shocking. If he is among the best then just imagine how dumb the average is!

His bright idea, for instance, is held up as an actual idea worthy of consideration, rather than as a BEYOND STUPID wacko triple suicide mission that obliviously ignore the fact that the NEW canal-by-pass is less than 100 miles from the Straits and within range of the same missiles that are closing the strait now. The only difference being that a sitting duck in the Strait can at least move around, while a ship trapped in the canal is a sitting duck that is also trapped in a small box with nowhere to move to.

Trump, Netanyahu, Musk, and a shrinking number of hard-core Zionists, are now trapped in a small box, with no where to run, and within missile range of the people they just tried to mass murder so as to steal their land.

The fire on Gerald Ford was almost certainly plain old garden variety sabotage carried out by the Irania secret services, because that sort of sabotage is the job of secret services who would expect to do their jobs properly during a war. Same goes for the clogged toilet crisis of weeks prior. No one in the media anywhere that I’ve seen has even whispered the term “enemy sabotage” under their breath, about either incident. That’s odd. For it to happen twice to the same ship in the same war is even odder. For no one to suggest sabotage is just too damned odd to be believed to be odd at all. It isn’t “odd”. It’s purposeful.

Yeah. Sabotage, successful too I might add.

    Last for today.
Excerpt from the article, that like others from the Unz review are coming out of basement to the open sun, on the wobbly legs and blinking eyes to reach wider audience.

There are a lot of things that bring the Bad Guys down, but one of the main ones is that they believe the lies that they are telling to others. They have to. Otherwise they would see what their victims see and stop doing it because they would see (as their victims clearly see) that the continued criminal activity was leading to their own deaths at the hands of people who were forced to defend themselves.

The Bad Guys don’t see it clearly because if they admitted to the truth then that would be the end of them.

Damned if they do, and damned if they don’t. Damn! that’s a bad spot to be in! Their response is always the same. Deny the truth that they’re terrified of, and double down on the crime that they think will prevent the truth from coming out. Both of those beliefs are the lies, of course, but they still have to believe them, else it’s the hang man’s noose for them.

    US/Iran Timelines:

The US military says it has destroyed most of Iran’s above ground missile building sites.
If so, then Iran’s capabilities of building new missiles has decreased rather significantly.

The next logical question, is how many missiles does Iran still have left?
Can Iran keep building new missiles in their hidden tunnels?

The unknown question is Iran’s existing missile burn rate verses existing missile stock + building new missiles.

It wouldn’t be much of a stretch to believe the US has a pretty good idea of Iran’s minimum/maximum numbers, on an Excel spreadsheet.

In addition, Iran’s mix of missiles, are split between liquid and solid fuel missiles.
Iran is currently only firing solid fuel missiles.
    That says something, doesn’t it!
    Why?

Liquid fueled rockets take 2 to 4 hours to prepare for launching.
Several trucks of liquid oxygen and liquid fuel are also required to fuel up these missiles.
This leaves the liquid fuel missiles highly vulnerable to being spotted and destroyed before they can be launched.

Maybe Iran tried to launch liquid fueled rockets first in the beginning, but too many were spotted and destroyed on the ground.
You know, Mike Tyson’s famous punch in the face, re-plan A!

AI would be a very good tool for spotting liquid fueled missiles being prepared for launching in real time and quickly launching counter strikes to destroy them on the ground, plus their trained crews.

All that would be needed, are waiting airplanes with air to surface missiles, airborne 24/7.

To launch their stocks of liquid fueled missiles, Iran will need to figure out how to prefuel these liquid fueled missiles inside their tunnels, before exposing them for launching.

This now brings us back to Trump’s rather flexible timelines of multiple weeks.

Hopefully, London’s timeline is shorter than Iran’s shortest timeline!

Barring the need for a solution that is quite that dramatic (But hey, if He must He must) , I would happily settle for us Truth Seekers out here to be allowed (or even encouraged?) to just continue chucking the truth out into the sunshine where folks can have real good look at it before deciding what to do about it.

Same outcome, less energy expended or the need to start all over again from scratch.

    Iran Is Winning Crowd:

I am amused by folks like Pepe, crowing that Iran only needs to survive to win the war and nothing else.
But they are overlooking a fatal flaw, something very basic, time.

Reality is the US has total control of time, Iran doesn’t have the luxury of unlimited time.

If Iran is the turtle, then the US is the Coyote.

Iran is curled up in it’s protective shell thinking all it needs to do is sit tight, and fire missiles.
Howeverj the Coyote, has other outside the shell ideas!

The Coyote is just waiting until the Turtle runs out of solid fueled missiles (Israel is intercepting them), having temporarily shutdown (the other half of) liquid fueled missiles.
(Hence, the early war narrative of destroying 30% – 50% – 70% of not mobile missile launchers.)

Then, the Coyote will simply flip the Turtle on it’s back.

Did Pepe ever think of this outcome?

    Iran’s Missile Strategy:

Iran’s missile strategy was to fire it’s oldest missiles first, then it’s newest missiles last.

The US has interrupted Iran’s missile strategy, for the worst.

Iran’s oldest missiles were slow time consuming liquid fueled.
Quick spotting by the US, enable these non mobile missile launchers and crew, to be destroyed on the ground.
Iran probably had counted on being able to use one launcher to fire multiple liquid fueled missiles.
So, for now, Iran’s liquid fueled missiles launches have been temporarily interrupted or stopped entirely.
Iran has no choice but make quick changes, if it can.

Iran probably has tunnels full of liquid fueled missiles, without a launcher, fuel trucks, and trained crews.
How many tunnels were blocked or destroyed?
Any spare fuel trucks are probably being actively tracked from their fuel depots, to their missile launching tunnels.
Can Iran even build new liquid fueled missile launchers?
Can Iran fuel liquid missiles inside their tunnels?

So, Iran has been prematurely forced to launch it’s more mobile solid fueled missiles, which have a much shorter setup and launch time.

Likely, Iran has a much bigger stock pile of older liquid fueled missiles, than it does of the more modern mobile solid fueled missiles.

Depending upon this old/new missile ratio, adjust your war timeline, accordingly.

Meanwhile the US can wait until Israel absorbs all of Iran’s solid fueled missiles!

It’s confirmed that the carrier USS Ford is heading back to the base in Crete for “more than a week of pierside repairs”.

Ford will travel to Naval Support Activity Souda Bay for more than a week of pierside repairs, a senior U.S. official confirmed to USNI News on Tuesday. The official confirmed a report in a local Greek news outlet that said Ford is returning to Crete.

One sailor was medically evacuated from the carrier after being injured in the damage control effort and is in stable condition, while two others were treated for lacerations, another official told USNI News. More than 200 sailors were treated for smoke inhalation and returned to duty, two sources familiar with the fire response told USNI News.

The smoke damage extended to the berthing, requiring the Navy to take 1,000 mattresses off the future USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79) in Norfolk, Va., over the weekend to send to Ford, USNI News understands. The Navy has also collected almost 2,000 sweatsuits and other clothing items to distribute to the crew because many sailors are unable to clean their clothes with most of the laundry services out of commission, a source confirmed to USNI News.

    Iran:

Do you ever wonder, if the implications of the US strategy of forcing Iran to alter it’s old/new missile strategy and prematurely fire it’s newest missiles, has sunk in for Iran’s top military people?

The shock, is of course, Iran realizing that it has probably lost the ability to use most of it’s older liquid fueled missiles, the very bedrock of their entire forever war strategy!

Maybe Trump is just waiting until this new reality really sinks in, before starting to negotiate again.

Afterall, a short time ago, Iran’s leaders were so confident that they didn’t need to negotiate at all.

Not everybody in Iran’s military leadership is going to wake up at the same time.

The diehard IRGC will be the last to accept the new reality.
The Astesh military will be the first to wake up.
When the Iranian people wake up, really doesn’t matter.

So, this might cause the first cracks to occur inside of Iran leadship!

    As the table slowly turns!

“That silly tweet from Newt Gingrich about by-passing the Straits of Hormuz by blasting a new canal to by-pass it”

This reminds me of my uncle’s neighbor who needed to get coax cable up to the roof to connect to a dish. He thought “It’s about the same diameter as a 308 slug” and proceeded to shoot his deer rifle through the ceiling of his living room in the direction where the dish would be. He got a nice clean hole in the living room but when he went up on the roof the slug had hit a truss and the exit hole was a splintery mess the size of a grapefruit. Seemed like a good idea.

Only time will tell how many missiles Iran has left.

I think they still haven’t even launched the newest ‘good stuff’.

From what I’ve been able to research Iran has stated repeatedly that their newest generation of hypersonic missiles are produced in the underground ‘missile cities’.

If the production rate is the same as the firing rate, then Iran can keep firing for a long time.

Time is not in favor of the Empire of Lies because over time the fuel rates are going up.

A third of the world’s fertilizer is stopped also. If that fertilizer doesn’t hit the market before planting season (a couple months at best) food prices will skyrocket just in time for the mid-terms.

Also a third of the world’s helium supply is stopped, it is essential for computer chip production, there is no substitute for it.

All markets, oil, gas, helium and fertilizer don’t need much of a percentage drop, even 5% to panic a price rise in there particular market space.

Thiese stortages are 30%, enough to cause a huge price spike.

So The Empire of Lies and the collective west DO NOT have time on their side.

Trumpturd has already lost the House by double digits.

That’s enough to start the Impeachment Olympics, non stop for two years.

The way this situation is sinking, the Senate will go Demonrats and there are plenty of Rethuglicans who hates Trumpturd’s guts so maybe conviction from the House Impeachment is doable.

The diesel in my area has gone up over a dollar in a week and a half.

Just talked to my home fuel guy today, he said his fuel truck for fuel deliveries gets 6 miles a gallon and he’s immediately passing the cost on to his customers who are in panic mode at the moment anticipating higher home fuel prices.

Last year to this year home heating oil went up about $1.25 per gallon in the last few weeks and the winter heating season is not over.

The Iranians are going to keep launching missiles and will start using heavier stuff now that the Empire of Lies and ZioNAZIland have run out of interceptors.

The Gulf State Empire of Lies military bases are just about out of AD and will be reduced to dust. The Iranians are going to make the rumble bounce dispite getting pounded themselves.

Remember during the Iraq-Iran war starting in 1980, the Iranians lost 500,000 and still didn’t stop.

Ah’merica could endure that, they’re a bunch of fairies and useless eaters.

Congratulations Ah’mericans….. You’ve been promoted to Robot Babysitter.

59th wave of strikes: IRGC debuts ‘Haj Qassem’ missiles in fierce retaliation
    Tuesday, 17 March 2026 3:23 PM

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has launched a new barrage in the 59th wave Operation True Promise 4, deploying the advanced “Haj Qassem” missile for the first time.

In a Tuesday statement, the IRGC said that its “effect-based” strike targeted Israeli positions in Beit Shemesh, Tel Aviv, and occupied al-Quds.

The devastating strikes simultaneously pounded regional bases belonging to the US “terrorist army,” directly targeting installations in Al Udeid, Ali Al Salem, Fujairah, Sheikh Isa, and Erbil, added the statement.

Dedicated to Iran’s aerospace martyrs and launched under the sacred code “Ya Heidar Karrar,” the operation utilized suicide drones alongside pinpoint-accurate Ghadr, Emad, Fattah, and Haj Qassem missiles.

Meanwhile, the IRGC announced the dawn of a “new phase of effective and heavy blows” across the region against the American-Zionist enemy.

Promising an inevitable defeat for the aggressors, the military force issued a stark warning: “The bones of arrogance will be broken in the streets and squares.”

This fierce retaliation serves as continuation of Iran’s legitimate response to the unprovoked, large-scale war launched by the US and Israel on February 28.

Despite ongoing indirect nuclear negotiations, the enemy conducted extensive aerial strikes across Iranian civilian and military installations, causing significant casualties and assassinating former Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei alongside high-ranking military commanders.
