ParticipantJoseph Kent, the Trump administration’s director of the National Center for Counterterrorism (NCC), has resigned in protest over the US‑Israeli aggression against Iran.
In a post on the social media platform X on Tuesday, Kent wrote: “I cannot in good conscience support the war against Iran.”
“Iran posed no imminent threat to our country, and we entered this war because of Israel and pressure from its powerful American lobby,” he added.
Kent cautioned that continuing down this path would only deepen the crisis facing the United States.
“You can reverse course and chart a new path for our nation, or you can allow us to slip further towards decline and chaos,” he wrote in the letter addressed to Trump.
Kent’s resignation exposes widening divisions within Trump’s political base over the war and signals that serious questions about the justification for attacking Iran have spread to both senior administration officials and the US president’s core supporters.
Trump has offered shifting reasons for the strikes and has pushed back on claims that Israel forced the US to act.
Earlier this month, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., suggested that the White House believed Israel was determined to act on its own, leaving the Republican president with a “very difficult decision.”
The White House also had no immediate comment on Kent’s resignation.
The US and Israeli armed forces launched a joint military aggression against Iran in late February by attacking targets across Tehran, assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and several senior Iranian officials.
Since then, Iranian armed forces have retaliated swiftly by launching barrages of missiles and drones at Israeli‑occupied territories as well as US bases across the region.
According to Iran’s Ministry of Defense, Iranian forces have killed and injured at least 600 American troops at various US bases since the start of the aggression.
Iranian officials say targeting US military bases in the region constitutes “legitimate self‑defense.”
Referring to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, they say the Islamic Republic has the legal right to defend itself against “acts of aggression” by the United States or the Israeli regime.

ParticipantIRGC Strategy:
Iran’s IRGC military strategy revolves around their ability to launch missiles.
Topcat:
I don’t know who has the correct burn/build rate Excel spreadsheet numbers, the US or Iran?
As you say “time will tell”.
However, it beggers the imagination, if Iran could have planned and set into place, the vast logistical supply lines required to continue missile production in deeply buried tunnels, under full “war” conditions, without anybody noticing.
When it comes to logistics, nobody has more experience than the US military.
Nobody does it better than the US military, either. The US is likely very busy. targeting Iranian missile supply logistics, to limit any new missile building.
Either way, Israel as the intended target (and loser), will absorb the difference between the two Excel spreadsheets!

France’s Navy Has a Problem: Only 1 Nuclear Aircraft Carrier That Is Getting Old
The deployment of the Charles de Gaulle is a calculated gamble that highlights the “Single-Point-of-Failure” in French strategic autonomy. In the 2026 landscape of Operation Epic Fury, France is forced to choose between NATO’s northern flank and the stability of the Levant.

China Has Spent 30 Years Building One Weapon — a System Designed to Kill U.S. Aircraft Carriers
Harrison Kass, national security attorney and former U.S. Air Force pilot selectee, traces China’s anti-carrier warfare doctrine from the 1995-1996 Taiwan Crisis to today’s DF-21D and DF-26 anti-ship ballistic missiles. Kass explains how Beijing built a complete reconnaissance-to-strike kill chain — spanning surveillance satellites, over-the-horizon radar, and data fusion networks — specifically designed to keep U.S. carrier strike groups out of the First Island Chain.

ParticipantTulsi has publicly endorsed the Zionist bullshit vis a vis Iran being a threat to the people of America, so scratch that treasonous bitch from the list of Presidential hopefuls. The field narrows. To near zero, apparently, and that’s not good because Trump/Vance have only got weeks before catastrophic loss of the Iran war, Straits of Hormuz and thereby the entire Middle East (and thus the Western Hegemony Based Economy). When THAT happens (real soon now, because it is a shooting war, with quarter neither offered nor expected by either side) then it will be anyone’s guess on the domestic tranquility throughout North America and points south.

Participant….. it beggars the imagination, if Iran could have planned and set into place, the vast logistical supply lines required to continue missile production in deeply buried tunnels, under full “war” conditions, without anybody noticing.
Regardless of the admitted fact that it exceeds your imagination the indisputably irrefutable fact remains that they did, indeed, ” … set into place, the vast logistical supply lines required to continue missile production in deeply buried tunnels, under full “war” conditions…”.
Why are you disputing the indisputable? What facts can you bring that suggest the Iranians did not do what everyone else in the world can SEE that they did. That the Iranians DID what many thought was impossible should give you serious pause about your other assumptions, too.
For example, what makes you think that they’ve shot all of their best stuff and have no further surprises in store? You have zero evidence. For example, on what investigative facts do you support the idea that they can’t fire a bevy of BIG liquid fueled rockets?
If America and Israels intelligence services are even close to being as good as they purport themselves to be then how were the Iranians able to build what they obviously did build and neither the US nor Israel knew jack shit about it (and consequently have gotten their asses missile-kicked since day 1 of the war?
I don’t know what sources you’re using for your estimates and analyses, but they are just plain wrong, and your estimates are going to be wrong, too, so long as you stick to those sources (who are OBVIOUSLY on the wrong side of this whole business.)

ParticipantThe United Zionist regime went into Iran looking for payoff, and got payback instead. So sad.
Hopefully Iran will not stop until every last Zionist (regardless of ethnicity, nationality or religious cover story) is under lock & key, or under the ground. Thankfully they show every ssign of doing precisely that.
I recommend that we help them. It’s a dirty job, but everyone who hopes to live a decent life has to do it.

100 Israeli targets struck’: IRGC avenges Dr. Larijani’s martyrdom in 61st wave of Op. True Promise 4
Wednesday, 18 March 2026 2:14 AMThe Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has struck more than 100 targets in the city of Tel Aviv in retaliation for the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Iran’s former top security official, during unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the country.
In a statement on Wednesday, the IRGC announced hitting the targets during the 61st wave of its ongoing retaliatory Operation True Promise 4 in the face of the aggression.
The hostile objects, it added, were targeted using multi-warhead Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles as well as Emad and Kheibar Shekan projectiles as a means of avenging the martyrdom of Dr. Larijani, the former secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), the statement read.
“During these intense lightning strikes, the Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles hit more than 100 military and security targets in the heart of the occupied territories without facing any obstruction,” it added.
The IRGC put the facility characterizing this stage of the reprisal down to “the disintegration of the Zionist regime’s multilayered and highly advanced air defense systems.”
It cited field information as pointing to taking place of a “partial blackout” in Tel Aviv as a result of the reprisal that also resulted in the regime’s forces’ having a harder time controlling the situation at hand and rescuing those affected.
The Corps, meanwhile, said Operation True Promise 4 had so far either killed or injured more than 230 Zionists.
The retaliation began following the launch of Washington’s and Tel Aviv’s most recent bout of unlawful aggression towards the Islamic Republic.
In addition to Tel Aviv, it has targeted sensitive and strategic enemy objects in the holy occupied city of al-Quds, the occupied port of Haifa, Be’er Sheva, which serves as the regime’s technological epicenter, and the Negev Desert.
American outposts across the region, including those lying in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, have also faced intense reprisal

ParticipantMost working Americans don’t know what the hell is actually going on in the wider world because they are too damn busy just keeping their heads above water in a world that is falling apart all around them, in a country that does not give a flying fuck about the actual welfare of its citizens, and a work day (every day) that’s only got 24 hours in it.
YOU know much work it is to be even moderately informed when the “information” (and I use the term loosely indeed) that reaches them is just lies, damned lies, and God damned lies unless they really know how to dig for the truth and can afford to devote hundreds or thousands of hours to the unpaid task of sorting it all out bit-by-bloody-bit.
Nevertheless, they can, and will, and SHALL wake up to it after they’re fired, cancelled or abused so badly that have nothing else to lose and consequently don’t have to kiss their boss’s ass just to keep food on the table and roof over the heads of their spouse and children.
True loyalty emerges when false loyalties are stripped away, and when people stop kissing the bosses ass then the boss better watch his ass, because his ass is hanging out there in the wind of REAL “public opinion”, and that opinion isn’t very good.

ParticipantEverybody has been claiming that the US didn’t have a strategy.
But they did!
I have tried to point this out.
Nobody told me this was the US’s strategy, I have just tried to deduce what that strategy might be through all the msm’s propaganda.
And they likely still (think they) do.
But then Mike Tyson hit them in the face, their plan didn’t survive first contact with the enemy, etc. Some of the newer Liquid fueled missiles may now be able to be fueled up while still inside their tunnels, then launched quickly.
It is likely the older liquid fueled missiles built like ten years ago that can’t be prefuel before leaving their tunnels.
These are the missiles that likely created the narrative the US/Israel thought they were winning by claiming they had destroyed 40% – 50% – 60% of the launchers. The speed that the US/Israel spotted these older missiles likely surprised the iranians, so they changed accordingly.
Again, what i wrote, I did not see anywhere else, so I have no data to back it up with.
These were my thoughts.
I am not claiming I am right.
I put my thought out there, for your thoughts! The only thing that I am 100% sure of, is that Israel will take a beating!
Afterall, Israel ordered up this war.And maybe Trump knowing he couldn’t stop congress’ demand for war, said ok boys, if war is what you want, then war it is, even if he thought the outcome otherwise.
Remember the RINOxs made a big show that they were going to throw the midterms.
So if you are in trump’s no win situation, what would you do?
Say no and surely die?War was likely the only option where Trump saw an outside chance to come out on top of the deep state and still be alive!
Maybe Trump choose to throw the war, as the only way to cut the deep state down to size.
Let them do it to themselves by losing the war?Trump has always wanted to pull back.
And he has been stopped by Congress and the deep state every time!Only time will tell the wisdom of choosing the war option.

I think by choosing the war option, Trump wins, 2 of 3 ways.
1. If he actually wins the war?
2. Or if the US looses the war and maybe pulls back?3. The third way, is a long drawn out slugfest.
So Trump can still lose.March 18, 2026 at 6:37 am #235130Michael Reid
