    “How wrong can this go?”

Well, I’ve been following along from the beginning of TAE, and maybe that question about a natural event is an indication that this site has outlived its usefulness, at least for me. Adios, Ilargi. Best wishes.

Quite sure I don’t follow your reasoning there, Steve, but sorry to see you go.

As for the question itself, How wrong can this go, I was asking that because all I see from Hawaii is that people sort of play it down, they don’t appear to expect a large eruption, and I simply don’t know enough about the situation to judge how accurate that is. Given what we do know about volcanoes, and Hawaii in particular, it feels a bit weird.

Honestly, I don’t know what to make of that painting.

As to SteveB; don’t get that either. A natural event can’t go wrong? Hmmm.
Too bad, but, oh well…I guess????
Maybe a case of expectations exceeding delivery? Hell if I know…
    How long hve I been here? I can’t remember…
    Cheers Ilargi

As an addendum: How wrong can this go?
Well, given the line between “natural” and human caused, is becoming blurred. There is just so much we do not know regarding cause and effect.
But, much is clear and we don’t even act on that…

Addendum 2: That could have lead to an interesting conversation if pursued further.
    Pity
