Now why any company would consent to this, I have no idea, especially as 10 days of the year something gets hosed and the company-required bolt-and-screw tracking app goes down, but apparently industry is even MORE idiotic and fail-oriented than even Microsoft. And that’s saying something.

The slow grind continues in Ukraine, with the Ukonazis forcing poor sods to make suicide attacks on Russian positions and lose their lives and armoured vehicles in the process Around another 300 dead and another 30 armoured vehicles blown up. Meanwhile, Russia continues to liberate territory, a few hundred metres at a time, with minimal loss of life and equipment on their side.
It seems that the Russians blow up electrical transformers and substations in a mass missile-drone assault, and then wait a few days for the Ukonazis to attempt some kind of repair before launching another missile-drone assault to blow up what has just been repaired/salvaged.
There’s talk of the Ukonazis assembling a large force in the northeast, in preparation for the next round of mass-suicide attacks.

Sort of a P.S.: my incessant little mind showed me another lens through which to view Bill7’s behavior, particularly toward me.
Based on my impression that Bill7 sometimes uses me as a cat uses copy, often going from berating me for, say, posting a lot of “off topic” (whatever that is) material, personal anecdotes, a zillion youtube song links, and then trying some of it on his own posts, it is possible that Bill7 is now being “socially aggressively experimental” (like I sometimes am): poking sticks at this and that poster just to see what happens.
If so, that could be instructive to watch. I’m taking a non-stop autodidactic crash-course in human psychology so I can better understand the way folks are likely to act out as the power fades out. I’ve learned all I can learn from being experimentally transgressive myself, but other personalities poking sticks into rattled cages will yield different data and I like data.

The point of an arrow needs to have a very accurate symmetry otherwise the arrow veers off course the instant it leaves the bow. I have made some wildly inaccurate arrows. Metal is relatively easy to pound and file into symmetry but I find it remarkable that the flint knappers were able to achieve this, probably by trial and error. But if they were a tiny flake off in their symmetry, it would be very difficult to confidently hit the target, and all their arrows would probably have different flight characteristics.

I see. I was wondering why the death rate was 9 Ukes killed for every Russian, and why the loss of amroured vehicles was at a similar rate.
That level of incompetence on the Russian side also, it explains why a rag-tag army of volunteers and a few paid professionals could repeatedly defeat everything that the Ukes threw at them, despite being vastly outnumbered.
It also explains why there is electricity all across Russia but almost none in Ukraine.
I do hope Russia in general and Putin in particular keep up the well-characterised level of incompetence and keep wasting their time and energy using inferior weapons.
