150,000,000 deaths, which are NOT by any means a comprehensive figure on gun deaths / 8,750 deaths of victims from guns in the USA per year = IT WOULD TAKE 17,142 YEARS for US gun deaths to equal just the foreign gun deaths from 1920-1999.
And IN those 17,142 years, governments with gun monopolies would have racked up hundreds of millions of MORE gun deaths, enslavements, refugee crises, etc.
Face it, US gun deaths will never ever catch up to everyone else’s gun deaths.
Because armed citizens prevent gun deaths.
You don’t go with unlimited death instead of very limited death because you realized reality can never be absolutely perfect, that there are always trade-offs and you cannot possibly bear it. Unless you’re a fool or evil or both.

Indeed. China had the same. China developed itself. Saudi and Qatar spent billions hiring muslim asians to be their slaves so that they did not have to do any of the hard work. They imported workers rather than turn their own people into first class workers. Having worked in Saudi I have seen it first hand, despite all the money, the country is a third world shit hole. The leaders have no ambitions for their countries, they just tick over and nothing much happens. Sure, MBS (the ultimate trust fund kid) talks about building modern cities in northern Saudi, but that will not change the people into a first world nation. I suspect this has much more to do with strict enforcement of their religion than with their nomadic past.
