In mid-October, I had a ‘cerebral infarction’. Spent some time in hospital, then in a revalidation center. Now, I intend to revive/continue The Automatic Earth. It will be step by little step. Both my body and my mind are ‘shaken’ and my eyesight was hit badly. Sorry.

    Control has become the most materially valuable thing in the world, which ties back into computers and AI Systems because those devices very very much DO control all of the digital systems which ultimately control the conditions that you have little choice but to live in. You can go back to primitive cave person lifestyle if you want to, (a few do!), but thee, me, and the vast majority of everyone else are not going to do that any more than we absolutely have to (and exactly how “far” that might be is not yet known).

    We have 3 to 5 years (maybe a lot less) to sort this out. The allotment of control that each of us have at that point, our portion of the whole, is going to be pretty damn final. Maybe the cave persons prevail, or maybe the elite-geeks. Maybe those who come through it least scathed are the mugwumps in the middle. Who knows?

    But this much we DO know. It’s time to decide our fundamental strategy and get to work on it. Time is getting short.

    The funniest thing about Murphy’s Law is that it is mathematically certain that Murphy’s Law is simply true, namely, “Anything that can go wrong, will.”

    That fact should make us look at the world and our own actions in the world much more cautiously and carefully, but apparently it doesn’t. We just keep acting as though 100% certain consequences are not 100% certain. Talk about risky business!

    If the AI managed future that they tout to us is so wonderfully wonderful, then why are all of the AI company CEO’s building bunkers? Are they just hedging a bet or is their AI System telling them something about the highest probability expectation for the future that they’re not sharing with the rest of us?

    It then mashes up too much SPENDING — a #1 GOP talking point (heavy on the “talking”) — and not enough REVENUE. They are also different things. We have Nooooooooooooooooo revenue problem. Tariffs can cover it. We have ONLY a spending problem. With thousands of people over 100yo collecting benefits and $9B lost in each state, We may have that covered.

    This is before 1) all the official govt numbers are also false and 2) AI makes everything up.

    Go back to a silver standard, change the exchange rate to $1000:1 and suddenly we can pay off the national debt with FRN in a weekend. Which is nice because Europe owns them all now. They’ve been buying so THEY don’t collapse — so I guess that shows how sucky we are that our debt is the go-to even for them. And then threatening to dump our T-bonds when it’s the only thing hold THEM afloat. Haahahahahaha! Go ahead! Let me hit that button FOR you!

    Gosh I certainly hope SOMETHING stops AI and all tech in general since its broad and total failure everywhere it’s used and tried doesn’t seem to be having any effect on people buying more of it. WHY? AI: think of it as an alien tech. Aliens on other planets have come to dominate using this method, make leaps in tech, go to the stars, etc.

    Okay, but that’s THEM. Bigger problem is, like ants, perhaps that method of life works for them, to be regimented and ordered around. It may not and very probably won’t work for us; it removes the essence of what it is to be human. Because they are the Xi and Musks of the world, they don’t notice or feel it’s a good tradeoff because they share that mental type, because they are complete weirdo outliers among men. (That is, psychos, OCD controllers)

    You have obviously not watched the video of ICE agent triple-tapping an unarmed woman behind the wheel of her car. It was a cold-blooded execution by a stone-cold homicidal psychopath, complete with that third shot to the head at point blank range through the car’s side window. to make sure she was dead. P.S. it is also just as obvious that she was pulling away very slowly and turning the wheels to avoid the ICA agents who were never in danger.

    According to Ukrainian sources,
    Russia used an Oreshek missile to strike the Bilche-Volytsko-Uherske underground gas storage facility in the Lviv region—the largest gas storage facility in Europe.
    This facility was presumably chosen for a reason, as it is considered one of the most difficult targets to reach, and Russian military forces used it to test the missile’s capabilities. 

    
Ukrainian media outlets haven’t reported any consequences, but judging by the information that emerged immediately after the strike on the gas storage facility, the impacts were severe—the explosions were so loud that they were heard even in neighboring regions. There are also reports of problems with gas supplies to homes. 

As the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ West Air Command admitted, the Russian missile’s speed was approximately 13k km/h, and there was no question of interception, as Ukraine lacks the means missile defense systems capable of intercepting such targets. And the Oreshnik strike only became known after it struck a “critical infrastructure facility.” 

According to some Ukrainian sources, Zelensky was in his bunker overnight, calling his European partners and complaining about Russia. So, today we expect more statements from Macron and others like him about the inadmissibility of such strikes.

    Ever noticed a progression of “normalized” presence of a such a force on the streets of the US?
    Overly dramatic arrests at first slowly but surely “climbed” to this.
    Way to many recent “dramatic events” keeps the “Epstein log”, among many others, drifting away from the shore of what the people may be thinking about as a priority.
