Well unless the Pentagon is hiding some top-secret Oreshnik type weaponry that actually works (a possibility, I suppose) then I can’t conceive of how, and with what weapons, the West could conduct an effective pre-emptive attack on Russia that doesn’t involve mushroom clouds.
Any attempt to marshal a large invasion force of infantry, tanks and what have you in Europe would (literally) be visible from space months in advance and thus could not be pre-emptive. Russia would probably just sink all of the handful of troop transports the US is capable of deploying as they cross the Atlantic.
Hiring Tom Cruise to fly some super-stealthy mission in his F18 to drop conventional bombs on Moscow is hardly likely to do more than bring down a few buildings and thus would not be effective at achieving anything strategically significant.
Maybe they could drop some Tomahawks on a Nuclear plant somewhere in Russia – that would be effective, but mostly in the sense of provoking a hypersonic nuclear response.
Seems to me there’s a huge gap in the escalation ladder between the highest rung of what the West can do with our outdated, and hardly plentiful, conventional forces and the very top (nuclear) rung. We’ve tried everything and have now reached the point where there’s literally only that one rung left. It’s a big jump to reach it, but it looks like we have just the kind of lunatics in charge that are prepared to give it a try. A number of them have said so, publicly, on TV in the past week.

I am not familiar enough with the reputed neocon cabinet picks to genuinely evaluate one way or the other. Perhaps those doing the evaluations have that familiarity — but perhaps not. Regardless, passing final judgment on a presidency that has not yet begun seems a mite bit premature. I am certain that some of Trump’s future actions as president I will agree with, some I’ll be neutral, and for some others I will be incensed.
Regardless, passing judgment before inauguration seems to play into the desires of the deep state — whether those encouraging such judgment are direct appendages of the deep state or independent actors whose messages happen to align currently with deep state tactics and designs. The deep state does not want to lose power. That is the larger battle going on here. Giving up on the battle before it commences by deciding that Trump is a puppet of the deep state is abdicating victory to the deep state. The deep state can only be vanquished when those in opposition stand together and stand firm — the coalition must stand and not be frayed to bits before Jan. 20. This is the larger picture.
As far as accusing people of being evil Jews or Jew-sympathizers or whatever — if you do this from a place of integrity, surely you’d WANT to bring the receipts. Quotes would be the most obvious one.
You can’t actually argue with someone if you don’t actually address their position. Ultimately, if you wanted to act with integrity, you’d have to not only use quotes, but take your opponent’s description of their actual message into account. And if you believe they are insincere, then you’d have options such as drawing contradictions out of them in discussion. As opposed to just flinging poo.
Goes the other way too. Someone quotes you or says “you seem to be consistently working your way towards xyz thing” and total silence in response, never addressed, as if it never happened. That’s decidedly unnatural in an argument or discussion, as most people want their objective or beliefs, position to be understood — if they have integrity. You tend to see people, accused of something they do not like, do not believe, do not stand for, enthusiastically disavow it because, of course, it’s something they don’t like. If a person disavows genocide, then advocates for 10 different genocidal things, you’ve got them then, haven’t you? So a person who will NOT disavow an obviously objectionable thing is a bit of a red flag as well.
IGNORING SOMEONE’S DISAVOWALS – AND NOT USING THE DISAVOWAL TO CATCH THEM LATER – would indicate lack of integrity as well. You want xyz good thing but somehow magically never ever do the thing that gets you it the easiest most effective way. Weird.

The actually powerful people who are financially served by BlackRock, for example, know the actual score of this musical chairs game, and have every intention of holding chairs when the music stops, forcing all others to exit the ownership-game empty handed, “accepting all of the losses”. This includes a lot of upper and mid-level managers, whose service maintains the workings of the real economy, and it includes all of the military and police “enforcers” of the system of ownership-of-real-wealth, so how will “ownership” be maintained by these elites who hold some form of “titles”? Others also have valid claims upon real wealth, and this has to be sorted out politically or the goose that lays the golden-eggs, modern-industrial-economy, will promptly die.
