It’s this sort of basic mathematical error in the media that makes me despair. One major lesson of our COVID era is surely how utterly innumerate nearly all the population is – including our esteemed media.Yup – you heard it here first!

The paper suggests that the resurgence in both hospitalisations and deaths will dominated by those who have received two doses of the vaccine, comprising around 60% and 70% of the wave respectively.The underlined sentence states that a third wave (which they know is coming?) will hospitalize AND kill 60 to 70% of the entire vaccinated population. In other words, if 50% of the population is vaccinated, something like 30% of the Entire Population will be hospitalized AND die. It’s in the headline, too. It’s even more silly and outrageous than the claim that 2xast more people in Australia have died from the vaccine than have died from Covid. Only later in the article are we able to figure out that what it really means is, since most of the population is vaccinated, a good portion of deaths will be in potential breakthrough cases affecting those with high co-morbidity levels. In other words, the whole thing is utter nonsense that tells us nothing. We also know zero about this “modeling agency” responsible for generating these projections. It simply generates a fear headline.
Kind of what I was talking about yesterday regarding hyping the dangers of vaccination. Who knows, maybe, as has been speculated here, everyone who took the vaccine will spontaneously combust in 2-10 years. But lets see some credible basis for proposing that possibility please.

Still zero from the MSM on Ivermectin. They are probably trying to figure out how to rework the narrative, who to throw under the bus. Maybe the AP fact checker who helped squash the Senate testimony story will lose her job. Or be promoted out of the way to headliine writer.

Covid patients who are also fighting a parasitic disease at the same time would be likely to fare worse and that might explains some of its seemingly positive effect.
Though there have been some early “promising” results from small and observational studies, Principle joint chief investigator Prof Richard Hobbs said it would be “premature” to recommend Ivermectin for Covid.
Observational studies look at people already taking the drug, rather than giving it to a group representative of the population.
So they fail to account for differences in the types of people who might choose that treatment, and other factors that might have been influencing the spread of the virus at the time.
Not even damning with faint praise. They couldn’t include all the other studies, or a quote from a proponent like Dr. Kory? Nope.

Oxford are running the IVM study in order to show that it doesn’t work – just like they did with HCQ in their ‘Recovery’ trial.
In that instance, they used a dose SIX TIMES the recommended amount – i.e. 2400mg over 24 hrs – which killed a few of the trial participants, who were late stage Covid cases. They knowingly mordered them.
And guess what – they then declared that HCQ doesn’t work!I bet the same will happen to IVM – just look at the detrimental language used in the BBC article.

Not sure if you are being facetious here, but I’m assuming not–sometimes hard to follow your occasionally serpentine constructions;^). While I admire the States that are not blindly following stupid Fed directives where they can, I don’t equate carrying around guns with having “balls.” Any moron can shoot someone. The romantic idea of the wild west is B.S. Just read the sordid accounts of the real shootout at the O.K. Corral. Guns more often than not end up in the hands of bullies, many with official cover from the State. Bullies are ultimately scared or somehow damaged people, not people with true courage,or “balls.” Assange, Ghandi, King, Ali–all deeply flawed human beings like the rest of us, but all had balls. Thought that when they posted: the WHO said what??. What this tells us is that there are many good people and real doctors in the WHO, trying to do obvious good things, but lost in the story, innocent as doves in a snare. The problem is if any Authority ever shows up, any time, any where, completely discredited with a gold star from a gumball machine, they immediately obey that lying, discredited authority. …And so this time too.
But it’s nice that there ARE good people. But “good men” need to do more than “nothing.”
Not to revise the gun debate, but the Wild West was safer for 100 years than the top 20 cities in America today. There’s a dozen OK Corrals every weekend in Chicago and Baltimore. But so long as gun crime happens in blue areas where there are already draconian gun laws, and against people of color BY people of color, it didn’t happen and they don’t exist. They didn’t actually die. It’s really Laramie’s fault, and those red hats in Cumberland. Lightfoot encourages them to keep it up forever, doing nothing for 100 years in a row. I mean, clearly the Mayors and cities like it; if it made anyone mad, they’d do something.
There most certainly are bullies, and we need to deal with them because they’re as common as shoes. One problem: bullies don’t give a rip about you or anything. So they have guns. Even in England and France and Germany, with the grenade capital of the world, meanwhile in Sweden. No problem in California, NYC, Chicago, New Jersey, even in Mexico where every gun is illegal for every man for 50 years. The bad guys have guns AND they’re going to use them as often as works for their ends. There is only one thing we CAN choose:
Do the GOOD men have guns too? Or is every bad man armed and every good man disarmed? ‘Coz that don’t sound so good.
Do we arrest anyone who defends himself, while releasing anyone who attacks others by race and burns whole cities as last summer?
If you live in a dangerous, high crime area, can you defend yourself? Or does every criminal know you’re completely disarmed and the police will make sure of it on behalf of every criminal?
Those are your two choices. The bad men are coming. They’re everywhere in your town this very minute. They already have every illegal thing going: meth, girls, fireworks, machetes, stolen cars, guns. Guess what? Already illegal. Just like killing people and stealing things. Been illegal for 10,000 years and they still don’t care.
Do you have any way of stopping them? Or is the plan merely to ask nicely that they leave you alone? Ask nicely that they stop getting rich, stop doing things they like, stop expressing power over others like Khan and Attila and King George did? Maybe you’ll have the defunded police hose up your body when they arrive 25 minutes too late?
If you don’t run into these guys all the time like I do, you live a very protected life indeed. If violent crime isn’t all around you, please be most cheerful at your enduring good fortune. But rich and careless and inactive, those things don’t last together long at all. The only solution is for good men to ALSO act, together, with force, for the justice of upholding good ends. They don’t do that with silly putty and saying “Pretty please I beg you sir don’t hurt me.”
Bad men always act. In fact, they’re tireless. If good men don’t, the bad men do as they please. Ask Wall Street.
