While meeting a couple friends for coffee yesterday morning, one of them complained that she was tired of her friend’s attempts to explain what she was learning on the internet about the lies around Covid-19 and the vaccines (pretty much what we have been discussing here). Basically, she didn’t trust her sources of information, labeling them “internet-based conspiracy theories” and didn’t really care to investigate. The person sitting next to me agreed with her. My gut feeling said that nothing good would come of me jumping in at this point, so I bit my lip. Both of them knew I was against getting the mRNA shots, appeared to honor my decision, but most likely think my tinfoil hat is on too tight.
As I drove home, I wondering how this could be: that a highly intelligent, well-travelled, ex bank president, independent, strong-willed woman could suck up the entire mainstream Covid narrative like a Hoover Deluxe? Then I saw Reid’s post of the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn quote and it struck me: She hasn’t even peeled the first layer of the truth onion. She doesn’t know that “they are lying”. There is a blind trust of what she sees on TV and reads in the newspaper. This always seems to be the case until one of those lies reaches out and bites you in the ass.
What makes this incident relevant to the quote above is that the woman, who has been attempting to raise her awareness, grew up in communist Romania. Like Solzhenitsyn, she knew that governments lie to their people… brazenly, to the full extent of “we know they know we know they are lying”. But in the western so-called democracies this awareness is still absent in the general polity, and violently suppressed. Just ask Julian Assange or Edward Snowden. We in the west still live in the Matrix and think it’s real. As long as we are not seriously impacted by the lies of the system, we feel no need to follow any white rabbits or take any red pills.

I’m both surprised and not surprised.
Not surprised: at the revelations of totalitarian behavior of the governments of various countries, especially US government. Between Wikileaks and Edward Snowden I realized years ago what governments were capable of and what direction they were headed in. How far they have gone currently — that is heavy and saddening, but is not a surprise.

It boggles my mind how it is that so many, many people that I know are seemingly oblivious to overt totalitarian efforts of the US government.It is going to take some time to integrate all of this. Tomorrow I head out on vacation with my kids, partner, parents, and dog. (Sorry, kitties, you and the hens and the parakeets and the fish stay home.) Long drives are very good for integrative thoughts. I’ve also downloaded an assortment of music theory videos to sharpen my mind.
Phoenix’s summer weather is very normal this year — highs usually above 110 degrees, with relatively frequent summer thunderstorms to give us relief from the heat — the blessing of the summer monsoon season. Very appreciated, since last year there was no monsoon rain.
One decision has gelled already from what I’ve learned through TAE this week — I need to set up a private chat server, post haste. I’ve been planning to do this for a few years. It looks like it can be done with end-to-end encryption and on a Linux server. I need to know that messages between myself and partner aren’t being spied on. Not that we have so much to hide — but we don’t agree with the mainstream, and it is clear that lack of mainstream thinking is becoming a danger. Time to stop advertising our discussions and shared links to TPTB.

Having watched the video, I see no information refuting what MSM said: they’re flying nationals around and then sending them back across the border.
One reason for this could simply be they’re being overwhelmed by immigrants. I see no evidence that Biden has “opened the borders”. I see no evidence that these immgrants are being put to work under the table, secretly or not. Zip.
WHat I see is a man trying to deal with overcrowded detention facilities and preferring to ship them to other detention areas (like military bases, rather secure locatioons for such things). Then, shipping them back across the border quietly, or at least that’s what is being reported.
Tucker Carlson’s narrative is full of mere innuendo and straw man tactis, per norm for any talking head on any major news show.
Please get back to me when there is some evidence that these immigrantrs are being put to work in USA businesses.

Just to keep the record straight? And maybe just the fun of saying in broadly mediated public things like this:

So I know how good it feels for the Russkies to say such a thing. Which, btw, deserves to be said. We say it all the time, right? Why not the people with thre actual power and responsibility to deal with such balderdash say it?

I forgot to mention that this is in contexty of all the horror reports about ICE detention facilities we’ve seen. BIden’s support base wants to believe Biden is ‘doing the right thing’ by illegal immigrants. Hence the subterfuge.
But, if anyone has further evidence, I’m entiurely open to it. I like evidence. It’s where I keep my facts.
