Iran “goes on the offensive” by hitting nothing. Again. Israel panics because they were hit by nothing, again.Go on, keep talking. This is fascinating.
We deploy an aircraft carrier that is already there and in normal rotation out of the existing one. IIRC, we generally have one (two) there, it’s expensive, and we’d like to save money by leaving and handing it all to the locals. Alistair is unaware of what an “Aircraft Carrier” is. Ah. Well, it’s only been the same since 1930, so I can see why he doesn’t understand yet.
“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it” — Upton Sinclair
Alistair is paid by MI6, why, the most trustworthy people on the planet! His word is gold!
You know when you “Appeal to Authority” and that authority is “every international spy agency”, you’re in for a rollicking good time!
“Trump: 9 Months At Sea For USS Lincoln ‘Not Nearly Long Enough’
…and he promised to declare the Strait of Hormuz a US territoryHilarious. And makes everyone chase their tails, bark at the moon, and be distracted from what he’s really doing. They are SO. DUMB. after 11 years they still fall for it Every. Time.
“If 47 years of sanctions haven’t broken Tehran’s will, more of the same is unlikely to produce any changes,” according to a Bloomberg Economics report led by Jennifer Welch.
“The Straits will never go back to normal.” Bessant: “That’s right. They will be fundamentally changed. We don’t want them back to normal.”(paraphrase) They will be just another body of water and already are. This goes with discussions – glad to see I’m not the only one – of Hundreds of ships transiting vs zero. Because transponders. But the volume of oil AT THE WELL HEAD can’t be gamed, and that is almost to previous levels. …Iran excluded of course, since they’re in mostly blockade.
So again, it seems Hormuz is irrelevant, even ahead of schedule.
“War On Iran: Six Months Later – The Astonishing Size Of The U.S. Defeat”
That in only 6 months, Iran has been leveled and the Strait made irrelevant. While oil price is low. Some defeat.
“We Just Say Things”Also, Rich keeps bringing this up, yes there is a media control in Iran, but Iran shows NO pictures of themselves. That is, PR releases of us blowing up apartments and grocery stores. None. Why? You can be 100% sure they would show them if we were doing that, right? In fact ANY civilian tragedy would be Front Page, as you see, 99% of all reporters are Pro-Iran, they’ll literally say anything.
Okay, likewise, “The U.S. is losing” and Tehran is a happy place, having street fairs daily. Pictures, fake or real, headlining how irrelevant U.S. attacks are. We all know every “western” media would front page them as a demonstration of Trump losing. …But they don’t. No pics at all of how normal and prosperous Iran is despite our futile attempts. Explain?
That leaves Scenario Three: We are ONLY hitting the IRGC, so they can’t find Gaza-like genocides to print. And the nation is completely locked down and miserable, barely moving, like Afghanistan, and the leaders don’t want anyone to see how dismal it is.
Or else what? Iran is fighting our PR battle FOR us? And the media, they’re reduced to reporting on Aircraft carriers? That’s the best they can find? Are you kidding me?NO PICTURES FOR MONTHS. Why? REPORTERS DON’T CARE IF IRANIANS DIE, that’s why. They don’t care what happens in the country. At all. Ever. Never have. That’s why they TACO every day and demand Trump bomb Iran.
If they could hurt Trump by helping every Iranian, they would do it.
And if they could hurt Trump by KILLING every Iranian on earth, they would do it.
Does anyone even doubt the truth of that statement? But that only goes to show, they don’t care about any Iranian, ever, any Iranian children or cabbies, ever, or Iran as a nation, ever. They only want to Hurt Trump, and if every Iranian has to die to do that, so be it.
Or so I hear here daily. Otherwise, you’d ask questions and post videos of IRAN sometimes. At least once. Instead of videos about sum dum guy TRUMP 100x a day. TRUMP is what’s in your mind, not Peace, not once, ever. HATE is your driving force, not Peace. You get what you pay attention to. You pay attention and empower dum-dum, you ignore and disempower your own ability, prosperity, and peace. And you are getting the fruits of your labor-attention. Focus on the happy, prosperous end-state you envision. Ignore the noise.
“not all the oil authorized in the SPR loan contracts has actually been taken.”
That is, remember Bessant? “Why did you bail out Argentina?” — Idiot Reporters “I didn’t bail out Argentina, we gave them a loan, which they then paid back with interest.” Reporters are just illiterate glue-sniffers, and also pathological liars.
Same here: It’s in the details, but the Petroleum reserve was NOT sold. It was loaned to U.S. Oil Majors. That oil has to come back, as listed here, and at a profit. Now I would have to dig in and see if the oil even LEFT the tank, or was just used to back oil contracts, and if so, can the majors get that oil back in time and are the pipes big enough. But it would seem the gas gauge on the car is inaccurate. Either just wrong, or we took the gas, put it in a 5-gallon in the trunk, and it’s still right here.
Is that TRUE? Well point of fact the first part is definitely true, I won’t claim the second part that they can return it in time, but seems very odd they would do that and just fail contract outright. As gameplay that makes no sense, so I would THINK they can get it back home in time.
This is public, but also not headlined, so. Trump doesn’t mind/care if everyone thinks it’s missing, SPR is empty, which is very interesting. Such is the screaming, but also the $4/gal vs $77/bbl which is way off. I think it was near $3 last time oil was $77. …Meaning oil companies can probably drop it there if they wanna, overnight.
“there is zero evidence whatsoever to support that 8M barrels per day are transiting via the Omani Route, and zero evidence that 9 mbpd is exiting the Strait of Hormuz per day. Zero.”
Crooke? Mr. MI6 spokesperson? THE $77 DOLLAR OIL PRICE IS YOUR EVIDENCE. I mean, ASIDE from all kinds of very official people are saying that millions in oil is transiting. But you wanted evidence. Did like 300M humans vanish from the planet, and that’s why they’re no longer using oil? No. Then that oil is getting to them.
Easy as counting to Two.
This is too hard for Globalists and the Derp State like Alistair.
“Trump’s pivot to economic pressure as the key to Iranian capitulation is not a credible strategy.”
Yes, because IRAN is not who we are blockading and pressuring. It’s YOU. MI6. And you know that. The pressure MIGHT work, but that’s not really the goal here. The goal is the OIL REVENUE, not the Iranian people. That Oil Revenue is banked in London, not Tehran. He many not be able to cut off Tehran, but Bessant can sure cut off illegal terrorist banking in the Western Economic Banking System! I mean, unless you want to fight him and have everyone on earth know that YOU are really the only ones backing the IRGC. That’s fine too – go ahead and admit the only reason the IRGC exists is because they can move multi-billions worldwide to Colombian drug and training facilities, to Hamas, and back to China, using LONDON shadow-banking, for which you’re soaking the Iranian people hollow. Go ahead and tell us all. It’ll be cathartic.
Because that IS happening, it has to be happening, and MI6 Alistair seems to claim we have a Iranian man in a speedo, swimming gold coins to UAE, a donkey and a saddlebag moving those billions to Turkey. No. That is definitely NOT what is happening, or ever has. It’s going through a BANKING system. A very, very, very, very LARGE banking system. The only banking system in existence. The GLOBALIST banking system.
Bessant is attacking ENGLAND, and GLOBALISTS, not Iran. You’re right: he may not be able to attack Iran. They’re bunkered up. But he can attack YOU, in Zurich. You have to have a working checkbook or you can’t pay your bodyguards and castle servant staff. You can’t hide.
Prof. Steve Hanke: Trump Unleashes Historic Economic Pressure—Iran Says “Bring It On”
I would say so, since that pressure isn’t on Iran (sort of). It’s on London. “Why don’t you and him fight?”
“Seyed M. Marandi: US on Imminent Attack Alert”
But you said we lost and Trump surrendered completely only 30 days ago! What gives?
“Larry Johnson: Iran’s FINAL Play in Hormuz- Israel Attack FALLS APART- Yemen Flipped the Script”
Okay Larry. This is the 42nd time the last thing has done, and Trump surrendered 110 days ago you said. So it Iran does anything else after this “Final Play”, I’m coming for you. Otherwise, it’s not “Final”, is it? You’re just lying and making everything up.
I always look to the CIA to decide who is moral and who to vote for. Thanks, Larry. That you hate Trump is the best recommendation I can have.“Trump to soon declare Hormuz as American territory. PRAVIN SAWHNEY”
Hilarious. I suspect Oman and Saudi will decline to sign onto this plan. However, according to everyone, America has been an Empire, and therefore we’ve owned it for 80 years up to now. So which is it? Are we that Empire and owned it all along? Or not? Pick one. If you say we USED to own it, that’s fine, but that changes the statement doesn’t it?
“IRAN CEASEFIRE SET TO “EXPIRE” ON MONDAY, SITUATION STATIC – w/ Elijah Magnier
I wouldn’t fret yourself, clearly we’ve never had a ceasefire, and won’t have one this time either. Iran proves Trump right daily on this.
“Iran has reportedly given Washington a matter of days — not weeks — to change course on the Strait of Hormuz,”
Or else what? The Strait already has no geostrategic purpose. Keep it closed, I could care less.
“West Despairs At Kiev Lack Of AD”
There is no “West”. WE, in America, don’t despair about Kiev at all. Clearly. Nor all of Europe, actually. I could care less if they have Air Defense or what happens there. Figure it out. That’s what “Not Empire” means.
“Iran’s Warning: 2k ATTACK Boats Are Waiting”
They’re just waiting 160 days to use them to LURE us in. Once Hiroshima happens, THEN Japan will activate the Navy. Make sense? That’s what you/they’re saying here. When there’s only two Iranians left alive, THEN we’re going to jump into action!
“Michael Hudson: Trump Is Desperate To Save The Dollar Ponzi Scheme | GEH W/ Radhika Desai”
Quite the Opposite on every possible front. The U.S. dollar is in no danger at all right now, clearly. Also we are transitioning it back one level, toward real collateral and the Gold Standard. So if you mean the #OPPOSITE of everything you say, then yes.
We are desperate to get OUT of the Ponzi scheme self-same globalist forced on us, from Vietnam overspending, and killing Kennedy. And BACK on a U.S. gold standard where we make-and-do things, which apparently U.S. manufacturing is recovering at an amazing pace, far faster than I expected. I mean, look at Helium and Chips. So having that as backing, we have no problem at all merely undoing Nixon’s 1971 and going back ON a standard, and OFF the Ponzi, while demand for US$ is amazingly strong worldwide. Easy as falling off a log.
Why? Because Prosperity = WORK. A thing they forgot. We are willing to do WORK, were always willing to work, and there’s no ponzi when you do WORK and provide actual product and not financial promises and speculation. You might notice.

ParticipantNot Only Feet of Clay, but Brains of Silly Putty
Dennis SmallAugust 15, 2026 . 5:49 PM55 years ago, Richard Nixon announced the end of the fixed exchange rate international financial system.
It is 55 years to the day since Lyndon LaRouche issued his famous warning about the implications of the Aug. 15, 1971 Nixon administration decision to deliver the coup de grace to the post-war fixed exchange rate international financial system, and replace it with a speculation-friendly floating rate system, including the decoupling of the dollar from gold. LaRouche warned that it would be extremely difficult to reestablish any kind of fixed exchange rate system, and that a floating rate system among currencies would open the door to waves of new speculation that would end up destroying the value of both the dollar and of other “competing” currencies.Worse still, LaRouche warned, the overall shift into a speculative financial system coupled with Schachtian looting would hollow out and then destroy the physical economies of Western nations, and eventually lead to wars of conquest similar to those of Nazi Germany. The only systemically viable alternative, he wrote, would require a thorough bankruptcy reorganization of the trans-Atlantic financial system, and its replacement with a new, technology-friendly one modeled on the design of Alexander Hamilton.
LaRouche, we must restate, was right.
The speculative cancer that 55 years ago was beginning to wreak havoc on developing sector nations, has today swelled to a $2.4 quadrillion behemoth – and it has now metastasized into the very bedrock of the Western financial system, the U.S. Treasury market itself.
Today the United States cannot even produce the weapons it is consuming in its various wars of aggression around the world. It can’t produce ships, so they are sub-contracting them elsewhere. Since 2001, the U.S. has lost more than 147,000 veterans to suicide—more than the total American combat deaths in every war since Vietnam combined.
And we have a President who alternately announces that he is successfully negotiating with Iran; that he will wipe the country off the face of the earth; and most recently proclaimed that he intends to make the Strait of Hormuz U.S. territory. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran had to remind Trump that “the Strait of Hormuz cannot be seized by a tweet.”
And so, 55 years after LaRouche’s grave warning, the United States and NATO, operating under British colonial policies, now find themselves in a quagmire in Iran and Ukraine that make the Vietnam War look trivial in comparison. And the British are making sure that Trump isn’t able to beat an honorable retreat in either of those unwinnable wars. The only option, they whisper loudly in his ear, is nuclear warfare – “tactical” nuclear warfare, for starters.
And easier victories are still to be had, they argue, in the Western Hemisphere, by launching deadly financial and military interventions of the sort they did in Venezuela. The next major target is Brazil, and its upcoming Oct. 4 presidential election, where they are hell-bent on stopping the reelection of President Lula.
The clock cannot be turned back on 55 years of wars, financial speculation, looting and cultural decay. But it is still possible to go back to that Aug. 15, 1971 branching point, and take up the policies that LaRouche spoke for then, and ensure that they are implemented today. As Lyndon LaRouche himself put it in a June 11, 2002 address in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:
“We are in a decadent culture, a decadent system, which is destroying us! And you’re not going to find solutions in a system, which has shown that the definitions, axioms, and postulates of the system ensure destruction! But people say, ‘But you’ve got to go by the rules!’ What are the rules? The rules are precisely the axioms, the definitions, the postulates which have destroyed us!
“Why can’t we change the rules? Aren’t we human beings? Don’t we represent nations which have the — Read, you get this out of the first chapter of Genesis: Are man and woman not made equally in the image of the Creator of the Universe, and endowed with these powers? Do not we have the authority, above anything on this planet, to change the rules? We have the power. That’s what sovereignty means. Sovereignty means the power to make the rules by means of which we can survive. That doesn’t mean we can make any rules we want to. It means we have to have responsibility and competence; but we have the right to deliberate.”

ParticipantI don’t like posting AI results but make an exception.
Query: Search the archives of theautomaticearth.com and see if Ilargi was always pro-Trump or did his focus change this year
Result: Ilargi (Raúl Ilargi Meijer) has been sympathetic to Trump—or perhaps more precisely sympathetic to what Trump represents—since the 2016 campaign. This is not a turn he made in 2026. What has changed is the degree to which Trump and U.S. partisan politics dominate the site’s daily content.
In 2016, Ilargi wasn’t writing like a conventional Republican Trump supporter. His argument was structural: Trump was a symptom of the breakdown of the economic and political establishment. In his September 2016 argument, subsequently quoted by Alastair Crooke, he said the end of economic growth and centralization was the reason “there’s Trump.” He was already very hostile to what he regarded as media bias against Trump. In August 2016 he mocked the “media choir” for trying to talk Trump down, and after the election complained that the media had “opinionated so frantically against” him.
There was also unmistakably favorable treatment of Trump himself. After the October 2016 debate, Ilargi thought the moderators were biased toward Clinton and titled his piece “An American Tragedy: Trump Won Big.” After the election, he wrote that while everyone else had “dug-in heels,” Trump was the one major character who was actually moving. In January 2017 he described the changes represented by 2016 as “urgently needed.”
By 2021, the framing had moved noticeably closer to Trump’s own interpretation of events. In “The Swamp Swallowed Trump”, written immediately after January 6, Ilargi portrayed Trump as having been defeated by entrenched institutions and treated the events surrounding his departure very differently from mainstream accounts. His January 2021 link selections also emphasized censorship of Trump, Big Tech power, Russiagate/Steele material and arguments against impeachment.
By 2023, the alignment was even more explicit. He wrote that the DOJ/FBI/CIA “alphabet soup” had been directed against Trump for eight years. And in his December 2023 retrospective, Ilargi himself effectively dates the transformation of his news coverage to Trump’s arrival in 2015. He says Trump’s candidacy gave “the world of news … a whole new outlook” and focuses on the extraordinary institutional/media campaign against him. That’s particularly useful evidence because it is Ilargi describing his own evolution.
What looks different in 2026: The current site has become more Trump-centric. The July 2026 archive, for example, repeatedly leads with Trump administration stories: Iran, tariffs, immigration, Democrats, election fraud, “woke” institutions, etc. And many of the sources/headlines selected are strongly favorable to Trump: “Trump Sparked the Counterrevolution to End the Destruction of America,” “Trump’s War On Marxism,” election-fraud pieces, attacks on Democrats and defenses of administration policy.
But it isn’t simply an uncritical Trump fan site. In 2026 Ilargi has also selected pieces such as “Trump is Losing His Base,” “The White House Fool,” “Trump Ties His Name and Credibility to Vance’s Dubious Iran Diplomacy,” and “Will Trump be the First American Caesar?” So there is still some criticism, particularly from figures on the dissident/right/antiwar side rather than from mainstream Democratic sources.
If you are asking if “Ilargi suddenly became pro-Trump this year,” I’d say no. He was defending Trump against the media and political establishment ten years ago.

ParticipantIran Army chief announces $30,000 bounty for killing or capturing US troops
Sunday, 16 August 2026 1:46 PM [ Last Update: Sunday, 16 August 2026 1:46 PM ]Iran’s Army Commander-in-Chief, Major General Amir Hatami, has announced a financial reward for anyone who kills or captures an aggressor US soldier, declaring that the era of American military presence in the Persian Gulf is permanently over.
Speaking at a ceremony honoring National Journalist Day, General Hatami revealed a new initiative backed by public crowdfunding campaigns, where Iranian citizens donate money to support the armed forces for defense operations.
Under this plan, any individual who kills or captures a US soldier and hands them over to authorities will receive a reward of 5 billion Tomans (approximately $30,000).
General Hatami added that courageous Iranian women who accomplish this feat will receive double the reward.
Furthermore, the weapon used in the operation will be purchased by the Army at twice its market value and permanently displayed in a dedicated museum.
Unprecedented military reorganization
General Hatami emphasized that Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities are being rapidly rebuilt and expanded, noting that new capacities were already demonstrated during the recent clashes with American forces over the Strait of Hormuz.
He warned that enemies have fundamentally miscalculated Iran’s military strength and must not repeat the grave errors of the past, as Iran faces no limitations in defending its sovereignty.
He also highlighted a new military and security reorganization ordered by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, signaling that any regional military escalation will only make Iran more resolute.
General Hatami was pointing to a sweeping series of strategic appointments recently decreed by the Leader, which includes the promotion and reassignment of six top military and security commanders across the armed forces, including the high-profile appointment of veteran commander Major General Mohsen Rezaei as the new Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
A permanent strategic shift
Addressing the Strait of Hormuz, the Army chief described the strategic waterway as a “divine geopolitical capacity” for the Iranian nation, asserting that it will never return to its previous status.
He mocked recent remarks by the US president, who joked about declaring the Strait part of American territory.
“You are very wrong! Even joking about this is a massive mistake,” Hatami stated. “This is Iran, and it has guardians who will break your leg.”
He affirmed that activating this geopolitical leverage was a necessary step to lift the shadow of war from Iran, and the country will protect it with all its might.
General Hatami announced that Iranian forces have successfully struck the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln at least once, temporarily grounding its fighter jets.
Iran’s army chief urges enhanced coordination in armed forces for stronger deterrence
Iran’s army chief urges enhanced coordination in armed forces for stronger deterrence
Iran’s Army chief has called for closer coordination between the armed forces, saying greater cooperation between the Army and the IRGC can further strengthen Iran’s defense capabilities, deterrence and security.
While acknowledging that Washington denies the damage, he insisted the carrier is now in retreat amid unprecedented chaos and a severe mental health crisis among its crew. The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) has been deployed to the region for an unprecedented, extended period (exceeding 250 days) as part of the war of aggression against Iran.
Recent disclosures by US Democratic senators have highlighted deteriorating conditions aboard the carrier, including moldy facilities, rationed meals, and a severe mental health crisis with multiple reported suicide attempts among the crew.
Expulsion of US forces a reality
General Hatami ridiculed the US president as a “delusional loser,” citing Western media reports that the president hid in a food truck out of fear and abandoned staff on a plane deemed to be facing a possible threat by the Secret Service during his recent visit to Turkey.
Highlighting the strategic impact of recent Iranian missile and drone strikes on US installations, particularly in Jordan, General Hatami emphasized that these operations delivered an unambiguous message that Iran’s reach is entirely unrestricted.
He asserted that the Iranian military’s ability to target aggressors is not only absolute but will continue to expand through tactical creativity and operational innovation, ensuring that no hostile element is beyond the scope of Iran’s retaliatory capabilities.
Furthermore, the commander underscored Iran’s proven technical superiority in neutralizing advanced air defense networks, noting that the Zionist regime has already witnessed Iranian munitions successfully breach its multi-layered defense shields.
He stated that the expulsion of American forces from the region is now an accomplished reality, and they no longer have permission to enter the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, or the Strait of Hormuz.
“The only way forward is the complete exit of Americans from the region,” Hatami asserted. “We have won on this path, and we are now consolidating this victory.”
He added that both the US and the Zionist regime are now in their most detested and isolated positions globally, as nations realize they can no longer rely on Washington for their security.
