    Ilargi,

    Trying to donate, but get this message;

    This recipient does not accept payments denominated in USD. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency.

    Prof,

    1) I see donations coming in, so it’s not a general thing

    but of course I really don’t like seeing this

    2) someone last week told me he got that message, but that was when he had made a first donation successfully, and then tried a second one, which failed (one for TAE, the other for Greece)

    I contacted Paypal about it, and they -their tech department- still haven’t responded.

    It’s too stupid to be true, for this to happen right before Christmas. I know the flaw is not on our side, nothing changed in our widget.

    Please keep trying, and keep letting me know what goes on.

    Or Prof,

    Have you tried donating in euros? Maybe that would work, and shouldn’t cost you any more. I can’t try these things out, can’t donate to my own account. You do have me worried.

    I just used paypal and used dollars. Maybe hit the donate button and not the other one.

    Had to mail a check…couldn’t get PayPal to work. The first time I clicked just on Donate without any amount and that got me going, but then accidentally logged in to PayPay using the wrong account. When I logged out to use the right account and tried again I got the “…recipient does not accept payments denominated in USD.” error message. Maybe if I re-booted things would have worked, but I just mailed a check instead.
