The US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization, estimates that the war has claimed more than 91,000 over the past four and a half years
The war has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories. The UN says over 24 million Yemenis are in dire need of humanitarian aid, including 10 million suffering from extreme levels of hunger

If “Dollar Store” can sell them for an extra dollar, then if we, (the consumer), could afford pay for the underwear made by my neighbor, plus pay all those in the pipeine who want to make a profit, then it could happen. However, I wonder if all the other retailers would be able to survive if I, (the consummer), do not have enough money to buy from them.

Hey! more than 60% cannot survive without using their credit cards. Its too late for a $15.00 minimum wage to pay for USA made goods.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-08-26/dazed-traders-wake-stock-surge-after-surreal-night

US traders went to bed last night with US equity futures down about 30 points from their Friday close. They woke up with the Emini as much as 40 points higher after what has been a surreal night full of apparent lies and panicked attempts to jawbone the market higher.

After a torrid start to the overnight session, which saw US futures tumble, the Chinese Yuan and 10Y Treasury yields all tumble, the safe haven Japanese yen soar and the Turkish lira briefly flash crash as Mrs Watanabe was again stopped out en masse…

Then, just before 6am, China’s Global Times editor in chief Hu Xijin confirmed as much when he tweeted that “based on what he knows”, there were no phone calls between the US and China in recent days, suggesting that Trump may have simply hallucinated the 2 phone calls, which only took place in his head in hopes of keeping stocks from plunging.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noblesse_oblige

“nobility obliges” and denotes the concept that nobility extends beyond mere entitlements and requires the person who holds such a status to fulfill social responsibilities.

Noblesse oblige, while seeming to impose on the nobility a duty to behave nobly, conveniently provides the aristocracy with an apparent justification for their privilege. This argument is “as nobles, we have rights, but we have duties also; and such duties thereby validate our rights”

HOLES IN THE SUN’S ATMOSPHERE: Earth is about to be strobed by three streams of solar wind–each flowing from a hole the sun’s atmosphere. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory photographed the gaseous spigots on July 29th:

These are “coronal holes”–places where the sun’s magnetic field peels back and allows solar wind to escape. Coronal holes look dark in extreme ultraviolet images of the sun because glowing-hot plasma normally contained there is missing.
The first of the streams is expected to arrive on Aug 1st, followed by two more in rapid succession on Aug. 4th. Polar geomagnetic unrest and possibly some minor magnetic storms are possible on those dates. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras, especially in the southern hemisphere where winter darkness favors visibility.
