Those who care know; those who don’t know are beyond redemption…The scam of “renewables” has many levels. If it was run by the Mafia the very same government officials who helped to dream it up, who defend it and who curry favor with voters would be holding press conferences to announce this billion dollar conspiracy that has resulted in citizens, taxpayers and consumers (somewhat redundant) being defrauded on a massive scale.
Energy is the most fungible of all commodities. No electron that a generator injects into the grid can be isolated and directed to any specific consumer. Any attempt to do so defies the laws of physics. This allows a kind of “fractional reserve banking”. That, it allows multiple consumers to claim ownership to the same kilowatt-hour of morally pure and ecologically virtuous electrical power. Used in the proper marketing context that can materially increase the value of consumer brands. If anyone doubts that, consider what wold happen to the appeal (and thus the share price) of Google should they announce that they only power their data centers with efficient coal, because after all, when you want your Google search, they servers must be running.
Here in my own state in the midwest US I found out that according to the regulations my own utility only needs to mix 10% renewales fuel in with the coal in order to claim that all the electricity the power plant produces is “green”. So make no mistake, first and foremost this scam and fraud is a form of cronism. That is to say, it is happily enabled by government. And the bigger the government the more of such fraud we will be getting.
Consider the end result of all of these policies: less freedom, higher costs and bigger government. Kind of like this all converges towards socialism.
