In socialism all production is publicly owned. There are no Corporations to run money-pendulum in front of politicians (government) noses to do the bidding for them once elected.

As far as I know, currently, there are two kinds of checks or direct deposits that employee receives – mostly fat and lazy government ant hard earned from the capitalist, aka a private business.

Let’s imagine a “publicly owned” system, where each member of the public owns a share in every production organisation. So, time for the annual general meeting, and everybody in the country gets to vote on how to run the company, who should be boss etc. In your world it has to be all voting shares otherwise some would have more power than others. Given the number of companies – thousands – everybody in the country would have to be voting for motions at annual general meetings all day every day, in fact, there would not be any time for production as the public would be so busy voting for what should be happening in production. Obviously this is completely impossible, so “representatives” would have to be elected, and “representatives” are government. So government runs the public companies.
The leaders of the government will try to increase their power at every turn. Socialism helps them to do this, it gives them social responsibilities which grant them power over people. Centralisation and power go together, there is no such thing as public ownership without government. Socialism centralises control which gives the leaders of government even more power, which is why most authoritarian governments are socialists.
