Fashion of the day and all that stuff…January 10, 2020 at 12:58 pm #52617Dr. D
ParticipantMuch as it pains me to admit it, the economy here has stopped flatlining or declining 2% p.a., and has popped its head up barely, like 1-2%. There must also be more optimism as there are jobs, help wanted signs, and rising wages or better conditions (like 4 day workweek). For instance, Taco Bell is paying 6 figures for managers in some (almost certainly city) districts. These are also entirely low-skill jobs, which is easy to pressure wages upward: since a whole generation has been destroyed, it’s nearly impossible to get anyone to show up at all, literate and you know, not drunk, much less reliably. So despite technical unemployment no doubt still near 18%, the few remaining people who actually work are in short supply. …Just like Russia in 1990 under the same conditions of communism or bank extraction.
This may be an economic flip pulling jobs and wealth from the cities TO these blue-collar flyover areas, I can’t tell, but if so the cities have 30 years of wealth to bank on and won’t feel a similar hardship for quite some time. This may also be showing in Cheeto’s minority support, particularly the black vote, which has nearly doubled, which has been said to be due to jobs in minority communities. Again, not an accident, exactly what he and Bannon said was their express, specific plan, while CNN and NYT called them racists for helping blacks and wanting the black vote.
I’ll keep you posted, but this is strictly anecdotal, light, and hard to define.
“Trump’s Iran De-Escalation Succeeds (Flores)”
No doubt at all this is what they would TRY. We can see them do it with their “Presidential” “Beautiful bombs.” And how causing peace makes Trump “weak”, and Iran “Wins”. The question is more: is there a single person on earth dumb enough not to notice and fall for it? What’s their counter-response? To fight? Or pretend to fall for it and set a trap?
Other than that, prettymuch what I’m saying – since it’s blindingly obvious – that Syria missiles were a joke, the Iran drone was another joke, a transparent attempt by the same transparent actors to cause the same transparent war they’ve openly said they wanted for 40 years. Wot a shock.
And Iran responds in like kind with fake, transparent counterattack. All a fake movie set with fake actors and a fake script. CNN doesn’t notice since their reporters haven’t not reported the fake in a generation. Do you have any idea how hard it is to shoot off 100 missiles, each of which can destroy a town, and not hurt a single person? They deserve a medal just for pulling it off. But talk is cheap, and the only way to prove things among perennial, pathological liars, is with actions. Like Rouhani’s non-attack on non-bases, with a non-warning.
“I think a few of the advisers of the president are trying to slow-walk the administration into war.”
Yup. At last people can see the patently obvious and have stopped denying everything. Not the media though, they’ll deny the truth to their grave, like good little zealots.
“Tulsi Gabbard: ‘Iran Is Closer Now to a Nuclear Weapon than Ever Before’ (NW)”
I’m sure they are, but: compared to what? Israel has said they’ve been an hour from the bomb since 1979. They should know since they’re the ones that sold it to them. That’s why we need to attack their enemies for them in an illegal war of aggression. The one they got the dual-citizen NeoCons to do. Nope.
Besides, nukes are a joke. You can kill more people with a trunkful of fentanyl, like we found the other day, available from China for spare change. No one cares. We love our made-for-TV stories and not the truth.
And right on schedule: “Iran could have nuclear weapons in one to two years.” Guess we know who they work for since they use the same words. Does anyone notice after 40 years? Nope. Not CNN and LeMonde at least.
“Democrats to Press for Impeachment Witnesses Throughout Trial (R.)”
The non-strategy for the non-defense of the non-impeachment. Talk about wasting our time. But #Oppositeland, what else would you expect?
“This is how corrupt American law has become. A man is being put in prison for 6 months for not cooperating with an investigation of an event that did not happen!”
You notice for the 50,000th time, this is not a black man. It’s about being poor and vulnerable. Self-serving corruption could care less about your color. And no one should be surprised, since the system from county judges in Delaware to the Supreme Court in D.C. have been blatantly imprisoning the innocent for 70 years. What’s the oldest still-surviving case? Peltier? Hard to track there are so many thousand. Armstrong — both white AND essentially a billionaire, was in prison, like Assange, another white insider, and Manning, also white, and also transgender — was put in prison, in solitary, indefinitely for life, for contempt. But but, it’s all racism! It’s only black people! As above, after 40 years will anyone notice? Nope. Not if a media you know and we all agree lies every day about everything says so. Because this one time it’s not a lie, I promise.
“Would you put your family on a Max simulator trained aircraft?”
I would. Because I’ve read what the fault was and am logical, not following manufactured fear from an inevitably lying media who hasn’t told the truth in my lifetime. See the fake exploding gas tanks from Dateline. I’d fly every day for a year if they just told pilots and put an off switch on the wall, and I’d die of cosmic rays and the airport x-ray machine 100 times over from cancer before a 737 Max would kill me. Get a grip, people.
P.S., you’re a fool if you think Airbus doesn’t have the same emails in their teams, and the Euro regulators don’t show up and cover everything there too. They need to sink Boeing to kill the U.S. and economy, but Boeing shouldn’t make it easy for them with lies and pathetic engineering.
“White House Unveils Plan to Speed Big Projects Permits (R.)”
He keeps trying to improve the economy, and they keep fighting prosperity tooth and nail, using every underhanded means they can find. …And I’m referring to the Republicans. Because if America succeeds, how will they buy it up at 1c on the $1? How can I escape my crimes if there’s no civil war to burn the records? Those Epstein tapes don’t kill themselves, you know.
“China to Become First to Realize UN Goal of ‘No Poverty’ (CD)”
Cough*buls—t*cough. Goes to show there’s no end of morons, but this is the media and the U.N., so… Probably Yale. Even the middle class in China are poorer than our poor by our standards. And they’re following the fallacy that – like Malaysia – if a comfortable farmer, but with no need for cash money, becomes a paid factory worker, but is barely eating and crammed in a concrete flat with no community and no security, but makes $10/week, that he’s better off. No, he’s WORSE off, you maniacs, and that’s before we calculate the environmental and human rights costs.
Armstrong, re: 1934: “[T]he broader trend is cooling thanks to the solar minimum. But there are also wild swings from new record lows to a single day of record high temperatures. This is similar to what was taking place during the 1930s. There was the dust bowl with drought and heat in the summer, and the winters were still the coldest on record which we have not yet reached on a sustained basis.”
Glacier National Park quietly removes all signs about how there won’t be any glaciers, since 50 years after the prediction, they’re still there and probably growing. Yet another day Manhattan isn’t underwater, in fact hasn’t raised an inch. Polar bears are doing better than ever and are an arctic scourge – to humans at least, which they don’t mind to eat. So that’s half my life they’ve been wrong. Every. single. day. Since what? 1990? Are they going to notice sometime? Not on your life: humans never, ever admit when they’re wrong. Science only proceeds again when they die of old age, because it’s essentially a popularity contest, a fashion show for nerds. Sadly. While they drum out good science that’s unfashionable, waiting in the shadows with answers. And sadly because this was so, SO predictable. But then they couldn’t destroy everyone, put in a worldwide tax that favors the rich and Sach’s CO2 trading hypothecations, and kill millions of hateful humans, annoying the rich with their breathing and “property rights.”
Over in Australia, 10 years of research 2005-2015 showed 40% of fires were intentionally set while 47% were started by humans but accidentally. That’s 87% caused by humans. So the 200 arsonists seems dead-on the long-term average, the only difference being they’re mad enough to find an arrest them. Since fire-using humans are going to start fires, maybe we can go back to doing it carefully on purpose again? Lookin’ at you, California. You essentially outlawed this and killed everyone in Paradise, then bankrupted PG&E and raised rates on the poor to cover it up.
“I never would have agreed to the formulation of the Central Intelligence Agency back in forty-seven, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo.” Harry S. Truman
That was 70 years ago. Imagine what mischief they could have got up to by now. But I’m sure as a President, who read every security file we’ll never see, he was an idiot and a conspiracy theorist who made it all up. Trust Brennan, he’s on NBC. When’s the last time they lied to you? 11pm Thursday?

ParticipantElsewhere:
“A supposed party with possible knowledge inside IRGC says that since yesterday evening, 56 IRGC commanders have been arrested by the IRGC’s intelligence organization. I have not confirmed this as I have no reason to do so, so take this as plausible rumor.
This would presume IRGC being cleared of spies at the moment so no Iranian response until spy/spies found. This is believable as they did this about a year ago. One imagines they have much dissent within the ranks. So if missiles have hit Iraq as you said, then they must feel confident in their cleansing.”

Participanthttps://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/iraqi-pm-pompeo-us-must-establish-mechanism-troop-withdrawal
Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who is still serving in a ‘caretaker’ capacity, has informed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the US must establish a mechanism for the full withdrawal of remaining US troops in Iraq, which according to most estimates numbers around 5,000. Toward that end the Iraqi PM requested a US delegation be sent to work out such a plan.
AND THE RESPONSE FROM USA
And according to Axios, US officials attempted to halt the weekend Iraq parliament vote to expel American forces. “It’s our concern that Iraq would take a short-term decision that would have catastrophic long-term implications for the country and its security,” one unnamed Trump administration official was quoted as saying.“But it’s also, what would happen to them financially,” the official told Axios. “If they allowed Iran to take advantage of their economy to such an extent that they would fall under the sanctions that are on Iran?”
Surprisingly, the administration has of late invoked the threat of sanctions on its ally the Iraqi government, despite for years propping up the post-Saddam political system and military.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secondary_surveillance_radar#Mode_S
Secondary surveillance radar (SSR)[1] is a radar system used in air traffic control (ATC), that not only detects and measures the position of aircraft, i.e. bearing and distance, but also requests additional information from the aircraft itself such as its identity and altitude. Unlike primary radar systems that measure the bearing and distance of targets using the detected reflections of radio signals, SSR relies on targets equipped with a radar transponder, that replies to each interrogation signal by transmitting a response containing encoded data. SSR is based on the military identification friend or foe (IFF) technology originally developed during World War II, therefore the two systems are still compatible. Monopulse secondary surveillance radar (MSSR), Mode S, TCAS and ADS-B are similar modern methods of secondary surveillance.

ParticipantMaybe so. Certainly I’m in error somewhere. But I struggle to make things make sense in any other framework: certainly what I’m being told is completely wrong.
Stage was set that withdrawal cannot be resisted even if the military, his own cabinet tries. And as you see, once they got their feet under them, they ARE trying. Very very hard. Oops, another accident.
