ParticipantThanks to oxymoron, aspnaz for weighing in on ideas for my technology of the 21st century class…this was helpful. 🙂

ParticipantWhat used to be truth is now fiction, what used to be fiction is now truth. Go figure. Jeworld inversion. This is not genocide, it’s self defense. If you contradict, what we say…you’re a terrorist.

ParticipantTechnology of the 21st century – just in case you need any more suggestions and if it has not been mentioned – intertia negation
They may already have figured out how. Remember those reports of undersea objects racing past at, apparently, faster than is physically possible?
It would be possible if inertia could be negated or dampened.
20-50 years of apparent stagnation in physics. If it hadn’t stagnated, maybe we’d have it right about now.
Commuting in a rocket that takes off immediately at 20g and brakes at 20g instead of taking an airplane would be a piece of cake with inertia negation. Traffic accidents would cause no damage. Fighters and missiles could start/stop abruptly from/to most any speed and so could subs and torpedoes. Spaceships could travel at close to lightspeed. Heavy lifting into orbit or beyond would be super easy barely an inconvenience.
Kintetic energy weapons (eg bullets) would need to turn OFF inertia negation before impact or they would harmlessly bounce off.
They were already working on a particle responsible for gravity. Why not inertia?

ParticipantMore technology: Look up MEMS … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEMS
This technology gives you microphones on your mobile that are such high quality that the noise of the pub no longer drowns you out, like it used to. It also gives you lots more sensors and similar stuff. It is about 10 years old, so a 21st century game changer; where modern electronics and modern mechanical engineering meet.

Because gravity is a force while inertia is force x time, which is work, which is energy. To stop a fast moving object requires the removal of energy – often as heat – while the acceleration of an object takes the injection of energy into the object. Of course, this is all relative, like voltage is relative. The force of gravity is a different concept altogether.

ParticipantIt’s bedtime, all you sweet young things.
Just sleep, and give your mind new wings;
And when you wake, a brand new day
Will let you go about your way.(Use this when it is appropriate.)
