I think everyone here will fully enjoy this from NHK today- I’ll give you the RealSpeak translation, first: “Japan’s Finance Minister has announced that he will henceforth see to it that the statistics being published by all other agencies will now reflect Official Truth about Japan’s economy, instead of – that other stuff. The Abe administration is not the least bit embarrassed that this decision has been made public, since everyone understands that whatever they do is for the good of Japan.”

    “Govt. to review statistics

“Japan’s Finance Minister has urged other ministries to reexamine their statistics to better reflect the nation’s economic activities. Taro Aso made the proposal at a meeting of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy on Friday.

“Prices and other statistics play an important role in tracking business trends and determining economic policies.

“The Internal Affairs Ministry publishes the consumer price index. But analysts point out the figure does not cover the prices of goods sold through the increasingly popular Internet.

“They also say data on household spending are skewed toward consumption by elderly people. They cite a demographic change that more than half of the households surveyed are now headed by someone aged 60 or older.

“Finance Ministry officials plan to make specific requests to other ministries on how to collect information and what items to include in compiling economic statistics.”

When will the videos and photos of the carnage on the streets of Syria be uncensored so that those responsible for granting their governments consensus to commit these atrocities can view the results of their psychopathy? Up there on the big tv in the coffee shop, over their latte.

A few drowned kids take the center stage in the Psy Ops campaign, while thousands, maybe tens of thousands, are dismembered, dis figured and otherwise blown to bits. All the while, the political media protects the war criminals, as the Nobel Committee hands out Peace Prizes to the worst offenders. Oh, wait, what was Mr. Nobel famous for inventing?

Do not fear Economics/Societal breakdown such as warned about here and on a handful of fringe blogs. Do fear your government’s response to them!

And lest ye imagine that government double-speak is a foreign accomplishment: the NYC de Blasio administration – today announced that it will allow over 50% of a major apartment block – to be removed from “affordable housing” regulations. So- this is a big win- it will “preserve almost 50%.” Actually; 44.5% If you’re about to dine, I don’t recommend reading the story.

Has TAE commented on the final MH17 report? I have been very busy recently, but definitely want to tune in to read Raul’s reaction.

Professor – “When will the videos and photos of the carnage on the streets of Syria be uncensored…” I had a look on Russia Today (RT) and Al Jazeera (surely they would have pictures), but didn’t find much, except: ISIS bombed ancient Syrian temples, and Russia apparently hit 48 people from one family who were hiding in a bunker (if you can believe it was Russia, or if you can believe the family were innocents, or if you can believe there was a family at all – so many lies being told).

The refugees appear to be carrying lots of cell phones. Where are the pictures of their burned-out and demolished cities? Wouldn’t you think they’d have posted pictures by the thousands?

“A Useful Prep-Sheet on Syria for Media Propagandists:

Keep mentioning “200,000.” (The UN estimates that 220,000 have been killed in the conflict since 2011.) Declare like you really believe it that this is the number of civilians the Syrian government of Bashar Assad has killed during the war. (Do not be concerned about any need to back the figure up. No one is ever going to call you on it publicly.)

Do NOT mention that around half of the war dead (estimates range from 84,000 to 133,000) are Syrian government forces waging war against an overwhelmingly Islamist opposition, and an additional 73,000 to 114,000 are anti-government combatants.

Do not discuss these figures because they would call into question the claim that the Syrian government is targeting and killing tens of thousands of civilians willy-nilly. (If feeling any qualms of conscience, recall Karl Rove’s immortal dictum that “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality.”)

    * Keep mentioning the “Arab Spring” and how in 2011 Syrians peacefully mobilized to challenge the regime were violently repressed. But don’t dwell on the Arab Spring too much. Realize that the State Department was actually shocked by it, particularly by its repercussions in Egypt, where democratization brought the Muslim Brotherhood to power before the U.S.-backed military drowned its opponents in blood.

And recall but do NOT mention how in Bahrain, peaceful demonstrations by the majority Shiites against the repressive Sunni monarchy were crushed by a Saudi-led invasion force tacitly supported by the U.S. And NEVER mention that the bulk of the peaceful protesters in the Syrian Arab Spring want nothing to do with the U.S.-supported armed opposition but are instead receptive to calls from Damascus, Moscow and Tehran for dialogue towards a power-sharing arrangement.”
