There is a lot of contextual shift to address in the global power struggles between neoliberal-globalists and nationalists: at the imperial periphery, Israel, and the imperial center, Washington & US elections, and as carried out by the empire against Russia, the stalwart non-vassal.
The Imperial court lacks a chief executive at the moment, as Joe Biden forgets that he is introducing the Prime Minister of India, and Jill Biden leads the first cabinet meeting in a year. There is disagreement among the high-courtiers as to who holds which responsibilities to decide, and what is decided today. That was addressed in the two very good articles posing this as a Coup in the Washington establishment, which were presented in the last post, and are linked here:

It is probably more fair to cast this as a power struggle within the imperial court pertaining to foreign policy regarding war, with the provocative State Department being overruled by the conservative Pentagon, which reportedly vetoed provoking war with Russia (any further) and reportedly told Israel that they are on-their-own if they provoke war with Hezbollah and or Iran. Both Hezbollah and Iran want to bleed the Israeli economy in the long game, not be obliterated by Israeli nuclear weapons.We cannot be certain of these reports, so we are watching events as Zelensky has flown to the US to present his war-plan/ultimatum to Washington.
This plan/ultimatum is rumored to be: “Give us NATO membership, NATO troops, NATO weapons and money or we turn Ukraine back over to Russia and all of your Ukrainian financial investments will cease to exist.”
In the Levant Israel used the pager-bombs, the walkie-talky-bombs and the exploding solar collectors, then bombed at least one huge residential building to kill one Hezbollah leader, but has only provoked Hezbollah to send more ordinary rockets through the porous “Iron Dome”, hitting Israeli military sites, the main Israeli port of Haifa, and other areas in Haifa, since the missiles are not precision-guided. Northern Israeli agriculture and industry are shut down, and there are something like 120,000 internal Jewish Israeli refugees complaining, and in need of support. Hezbollah can and will keep that pressure up forever, or until Israel withdraws from Gaza, instead of leveling it and finishing the Palestinian genocide, so that the seaside real estate can be developed. Many think the State of Israel will fail to exist by this persistence of aggression, met by slow economic asphyxiation from small, resolute neighbors. If “Israel” does concede a real Palestinian state, then the “State” of Israel will begin crumbling from contradictions inherent in its own internal apartheid composition. This is internal fracture currently forestalled by the state-unifying genocidal war to steal Palestinian lands and kill or eject Palestinians from them.The global financial empire funded by the $US is threatened by the loss of global reserve currency status for the $US, and also by its (former) status as the only currency for trading oil. The $US is not going away, but it will soon be one of several competing global investment platforms. Investment is 8X trade in currency flows, I read. Investments in $US have long been secured by high US interest rates, assuring a real turn on investment, even though it bled the productive economy, and inhibited productive industrial investment in the US, as established productive industries could seldom afford those high rates.
Globalist interests are pleased enough to collapse the US and pick the carcass, as they did with the USSR, but nationalist interests would rather cut expenses and invest in productive industries in the US. Producing oil and natural gas feeds real industry, and the US has those assets to extract. Globalists have been suppressing the production of these limited supplies, but an economic rejuvenation will depend upon them. Trump is right to say that pumping more oil cheaply will lower the costs and inflation people experience. We don’t know how long that can persist. Obviously a lot of public and private debts will be defaulted upon, to the loss of the global-investing class, one may hope.
In the near term (how near?) the leveraged global Ponzi finance scheme is due to collapse, which could be prompted by the recognition that vast Ukrainian assets, pledged as loan collateral, have ceased to be “Ukrainian” or “pledged”. There are other potential triggers also standing in line, and the Bank Of England, and City of London have undue exposure to this risk-or-certainty (depending upon your perspective). And that brings me back to the Antitrust Division’s lawsuit against RealPage. Is this case more than an (alleged) price-fixing conspiracy? Could it point to a broader problem in the economy?
Let’s start with what this firm actually did. RealPage allegedly encouraged excess rental prices in a number of ways. First, it collected sensitive information about the market and let its clients know what everyone else was charging. Second, it explicitly encouraged rent hikes through default settings in its software, and by having its RealPage “pricing advisors” harass employees of clients until they raised rents. As one unnamed landlord put it, “I always liked this product because your algorithm uses proprietary data from other subscribers to suggest rents and term. Charges filed against UC Irvine students and professors who took part in protests
The Orange County District Attorney’s office announced misdemeanor charges Wednesday against 10 people, including a professor and lecturer. They have been charged with failing to follow dispersal orders at UC Irvine when police attempted to clear a student encampment calling for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said that the Special Prosecutions Unit spent months reviewing evidence before moving forward with charges.

This is the opinion of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Yuri Lutsenko, which is why Kyiv constantly places responsibility for the situation at the front on its allies.
“The entire propaganda machine of the President’s Office constantly hammers into the heads of Ukrainians that we have problems only because the US does not want to give us permission for long-range missiles JASSM, ATACMS, Storm Shadow / Scalp,” writes Lutsenko.
“But this is a lie that will (not) lead to victory. At least because the Russian Air Transport Agency has already gone beyond the ATACMS coverage area. Therefore, it will not stop attacks, KABs, and ballistics.”
Lutsenko believes that Zelensky is acting according to the following plan:
1. We submit to the US a new mega-list of demands for weapons and money.
2. We receive polite doubts that this will change the course of the war and lead us to the borders of 1991.
3. We declare that we have been abandoned and we have no other choice but to return to the Peace Forums with the participation of Russia.
4. During the negotiations we receive demands from Putin in the style of Istanbul.
5. We declare that this is the subject of a referendum and that a ceasefire is needed for this.
6. We sign a ceasefire.
7. We take the pose of the president of the world and hold presidential elections. Preferably – without lifting martial law, so that democracy does not interfere, and the TCC controls the polling stations.
Lutsenko called it a “cynical show” that is “easily read by both Ukrainian political leaders and our allies.”

In his farewell event on Thursday hosted by the German Marshal Fund in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg came as close to denouncing European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen as you can in Euro-speak before journalists whom he knew would be weighing his every word.
As The Financial Times put it, Stoltenberg made ‘blunt remarks’ as he condemned the build-up of competences, personnel and budgets for EU command structures and planned rapid response force, fearing that this will divert resources from NATO.

If this is what Stoltenberg is saying in public, you can well imagine that the NATO-EU fight for the lead role in Europe’s defense is running at a fever pitch behind closed doors. It is a contest that has been gathering force for a good many months now…
..Foy’s article on von der Leyen is generally complimentary, calling out that ‘she’s the hardest working’ person in the EU institutions. He acknowledges that critics say she ‘routinely overstretches her powers and bypasses proper due process.’ But he grants her that in the spirit of ‘you can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.’ So he concludes what is supposed to be a well-rounded appreciation of von der Leyen, saying that ‘admirers, including many EU leaders, revere her ability to get things done by cutting through the byzantine layers of European bureaucracy.’ It is entirely fitting that Foy avoids calling this approach what it might otherwise be called: authoritarian.
What is missing from this piece of seemingly balanced journalism from the FT is what we opened this essay with: von der Leyen’s ongoing duplication of NATO functions. This is self-aggrandizing as it expands her powers. It is also changing the European Union from a peace project, as it was originally conceived, into a war project. In this regard, all the instruments that von der Leyen has deployed to ensure her degree of control over the Commission that Foy describes also infuse the Commission and the EU Institutions more generally with the war agenda of the New Europe (as Donald Rumsfeld described the former Warsaw Pact countries) that is directed against Russia. Here we find the unifying mission of both EU and NATO institutions.
One of the obvious ways that von der Leyen intends to control the EU is through her closest coordination with the commissioners drawn from the Baltic States and extending into the other member states of Eastern Europe. These commissioners are all, by definition, much easier for the Commission president to dominate than are commissioners put up by the large member states like France, Italy and Germany. They have been given heavy responsibility portfolios out of all proportion to the political, economic, demographic weight of the countries they represent. This is why the utterly shallow prime minister of Estonia, which has a population of 1.3 million, was chosen by von der Leyen to head the key portfolio of foreign relations as the EU’’s spokesperson to the world...
..Of course, Kaja Kallas, who herself had been a contender to succeed Stoltenberg at NATO, was and is one of the most aggressive Russophobes in the EU. And so they’re now in charge.
I have to change my evaluation of Secretary Austin if that’s the case, because it means he listened finally to the people in the bowels of the Pentagon who know the truth, and he’s reacting to that, and he’s told the President Biden that, and to Biden’s credit, even though he was furious, he finally took that advice.

Another indicator of the escalation is that Israel is apparently beginning use much bigger bombs compared to much of the past nearly year of internecine fighting. Germany, which last year closed all its remaining nuclear power plants – is now seeking to balance the generation and transmission systems with new gas power plants. But these plants need to be ready to be converted to hydrogen at some point between 2035 and 2040, the economy ministry has said.
The country has also decided to accelerate the coal phase-out to 2030, from an earlier planned date of 2038, but Europe’s largest economy reactivated some mothballed coal-fired power plants in the previous two winters after Russian natural gas supply to Germany ceased.

Trump says he’ll pump more oil at lower prices to goose all aspects of the economy, pulling that future-oil into the present, which should work in “the present.
“Harris” does not elucidate, but current elite trajectory is to place more and more tight-spots of economic control through rent-collection into all parts of the economy, with every smart-phone being ideal, once only smartphones can be used to buy groceries and pay bills, and each can be micro-managed algorithmically by global financiers and intelligence agencies in “consortium”. Comply or scrounge dumpsters until you die in winter.
I “believe” in peak-oil, and that it already happened, and I also believe there has been a lot of Arctic oil discovered under Jimmy Carter and capped-off, and that Russia recently discovered a lot of Antarctic oil, but that those resources are to be exploited under a very different global economic regime, which has not yet been “agreed-upon” at the elite level.
Trump threatens to goose the economy against “consensus”, basically in concert with the “enemy team”, from the view of neoliberal globalist finance, which has long extracted blood from western economies faster than they can make it. The “consensus” is to shrink all the consumer-economies and consumer/productive human-herds gradually, boiling those frogs, while telling them it’s all fine and preventing any comments to the contrary.
We can all see the weaknesses and vulnerabilities in this plan, but it keeps the parasitic elites in place on the top of the anemic economic bags of bones, another weakness over time…

The events have taken a very strange turn in Washington DC this month. Britain’s new cabinet has made it a priority to escalate the West’s proxy war against Russia and to bring the U.S. and other allies onboard by hook or by crook. Part of the agenda was enabling the Ukrainians to strike at Russia with western supplied long-range precision missiles. This wouldn’t be a new thing exactly, but the escalation they are gunning for is quite substantial, involving possibly even nuclear weapons.
The groundwork for this escalation was being prepared for months. In March this year, the Biden administration approved a new “Nuclear Employment Guidance” in preparation to fight and “win” a three-front nuclear war against Russia, China and North Korea. They followed up with plans to deploy long-range nuclear missiles in Germany and Holland. The preparations were being coordinated between the Neocons in the Biden administration, led by the Secretary of State Antony Blinken, NATO and the members of British cabinets, both under (not war) Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and under the new (war) PM Keir Starmer…
..On July 9, his fifth day on the job Keir Starmer flew to Washington for the NATO summit and a meeting with president Biden. On July 16, Starmer’s government published the new “Strategic Defense Review” – a “root and branch” revision of UK’s defence, so that it is “secure at home and strong abroad for decades to come.” Of course, all these ambitious initiatives ultimately depend on the special relationship itself. Without it, Britain would be punching way, way above its weight.
Trump-proofing the “special relationship”
In terms of military power, the UK is pretty much a lightweight with a handicap, so securing the American protection was top priority. Accordingly, the Mutual Defense Agreement (MDA) between the U.S. and Great Britain needed an urgent upgrade. The agreement was last renewed in 2014 and was set to expire on 31 December 2024. The new major upgrade was formulated by the British government in July of this year: it would make the MDA indefinite, turning it into a de-facto treaty. The idea was to Trump-proof the Agreement in case the DNC fails to steal the presidential elections again this November. The treaty also joins the two nations’ nuclear programs.
..Malcolm Chalmers, the deputy director of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), was jubilant about the new Mutual Defense Agreement, seeing it as a diplomatic win for the UK: “It is good news for the UK that it doesn’t need to worry about a future US administration using a future renewal [of the MDA] as leverage.” How clever! Now we can stir the pot around the world and if things get ugly, the Americans have to come to our rescue. ..On 10 September, US State Secretary Antony Blinken came to London to meet with his British counterpart David Lammy and the day after they both went to visit Kiev together. On the occasion, Blinken and Lammy almost certainly finalized the plan to commit both nations to aiding Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with western-supplied long range precision missiles. Only two days later, the Prime Minister Starmer flew to Washington again to meet with President Biden, ostensibly to “discuss” the events in Ukraine among other things.

Now, the Prime Minister wouldn’t normally travel and meet with his U.S. counterpart just to “discuss” things... In fact, according to British government sources, the decisions had already been made, and Sir Keir brought all the paperwork with him. However, the signing ceremony never took place and neither did the joint press conference. Something went wrong.

According to some sources, Putin’s warning was reinforced through back-channel communications between the Russian military leadership and their American counterparts who understand that they were being pushed over the edge of total war. In response, it seems that the American military leadership took over the conduct of the US foreign policy, both in terms of military and diplomatic affairs. State Secretary Blinken and his merry band of Neocons appear to have been sidelined…
..The change in leadership could also be felt in the Middle East. General Michael E. Kurilla, the head of U.S. Central Command visited Israel last week (the second time in a week’s interval), apparently also to announce a new policy. Allegedly, he informed the Israelis that if they provoke a war against Hezbollah or against Iran, the U.S. will not come to their aid: they’re on their own.
The palace coup at the White House wasn’t officially announced and it almost certainly won’t be. We will probably only know of these changes with time, by observing the pattern of events. If the U.S. policy really changes course in a substantive way, this would corroborate that the coup did indeed take place. This may seem inconceivable, but it shouldn’t be. Ukraine, together with many of its NATO allies, has been asking for permission from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France to be able to employ precision-guided long-range weapons systems provided by these countries against targets deep inside Russia.
On Sept. 6, at a meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group, a forum where U.S.-NATO military support to Ukraine is coordinated, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally appealed to the group for more weapons support from its Western allies and called on allies to allow Ukraine to use the weapons they provided to strike deeper inside Russia...
..The stage was now set for Keir Starmer, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, to fly to Washington, D.C., last Friday, where he would meet with Biden and jointly agree to give Ukraine permission to use Storm Shadow and ATACMS against targets inside Russia.
Russia has long made it clear that it would view any nation which authorized the use of its weapons to strike Russia as a direct party to the conflict.
In comments to the media in Russia last Thursday — one day before the Biden-Starmer meeting at the White House — Russian President Vladimir Putin made it clear that any lifting of the restrictions on Ukrainian use of U.S.- and U.K.-provided long-range weapons would change “the very essence of the conflict.” He said:
“This will mean that NATO countries, the United States, European countries are fighting Russia. And if this is the case, then…we will make appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us.” …
..Just to drive the point home, Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, told the Security Council last Friday that NATO would “be a direct party to hostilities against a nuclear power,” if it allowed Ukraine to use longer range weapons against Russia. “You shouldn’t forget about this and think about the consequences,” he declared.
The finishing touches on driving home the seriousness of Putin’s warning was left to the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov. Speaking to the Russian media also last Friday Antonov said he was surprised that many American officials believed that “if there is a conflict, it will not spread to the territory of the United States of America. I am constantly trying to convey to them one thesis that the Americans will not be able to sit it out behind the waters of this ocean. This war will affect everyone, so we constantly say – do not play with this rhetoric.” … “Yesterday’s statements from Vladimir Putin were weighed very carefully here. Several ex-officials called me asking to explain what actually stands behind those statements. I simply replied: ‘Don’t play with fire.’”
Antonov’s sentiments were likely echoed through existing back-channel communications used by the Department of Defense and the C.I.A.
In the end, the message got through — Biden pulled back from giving Ukraine the permissions it sought.
Most Americans are unaware about how close they came to waking up Saturday morning, only to find that it was their last.
Had Biden yielded to Starmer’s pressure (the British, together with Ukraine and several NATO nations, believed that Putin was bluffing), and signed off on the permission, Ukraine was prepared to launch strikes on Russia that night. (British soldiers deployed in Ukraine would be needed to operate the Storm Shadows and they are already there, according to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who has refused to send similar weapons to Ukraine.)
Russia would likely have responded with conventional attacks on Kiev using new weapons, such as the Avangard hypersonic warhead, which would each deliver a blow equivalent to 26-28 tons of explosives.
Russia would also most likely have struck NATO targets in Poland and Romania where Ukrainian fighters are based. And, lastly, Russia would have struck British military targets, possibly including those on the British Isles.
This would prompt a NATO retaliation under Article 5, using a large number of NATO long-range strike weapons targeting Russian command and control, airfields, and ammunition storage facilities.
The Russian response would most likely involve the launching of more Avangard conventional warheads against NATO targets, including Ramstein airbase and NATO headquarters, as well as airbases from which strikes against Russia were launched.
At this juncture the United States, using nuclear employment plans derived from a nuclear posture which emphasizes the pre-emptive use of low yield nuclear weapons to “escalate to deescalate”— i.e., force Russia to back down through a demonstration of capability — would authorize the use of one or more low-yield nuclear warheads against Russian targets on Russian soil.
But Russian doctrine has no capacity for engaging in a limited nuclear war. Instead, Russia would respond with a general nuclear retaliation targeting all of Europe and the United States. Whatever U.S. strategic forces that survived this onslaught would be fired at Russia.
And then we all die.

..There are mountains in that area where the “other event” took place at a “Depth” of -0.8km. Yes, that’s a minus sign in front of the “Depth” meaning the “Other Event” took place above the ground by about 2,624 feet. Some of the mountains in that area ARE that high. So if a missile hit a mountain at that height, the resulting explosion could very well register as a Magnitude 2.7 earthquake “above” ground.
For a frame of reference, when the World Trade Center in New York City collapsed in the attacks of September 11, 2001, seismographs registered the massive collapse as a Magnitude 2.1 “earthquake.” So the fact that this “Other Event” registers stronger . . . . as 2.7 . . . . gives readers an idea of how powerful this “other event” actually was.

Lebanon terror attacks ‘long in the making’ Israeli op
The dual terror attacks that rocked Lebanon this week, killing dozens and injuring thousands, were the result of a “complex and long in the making” Israeli operation, according to 12 current and former defense and intelligence officials who spoke with the New York Times (NYT).
“Even before [Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan] Nasrallah decided to expand pager usage, Israel had put into motion a plan to establish a shell company that would pose as an international pager producer,” the NYT report states, referring to Hungary-based BAC Consulting.
The shell company served as a front to manufacture thousands of pagers on behalf of Taiwanese company Gold Apollo that were acquired by the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah earlier this year. “At least two other shell companies were created to mask the real identities of the people creating the pagers: Israeli intelligence officers,” the report states.
“BAC did take on ordinary clients, for which it produced a range of ordinary pagers. But the only client that really mattered was Hezbollah, and its pagers were far from ordinary. Produced separately, they contained batteries laced with the explosive PETN,” three intelligence officers who spoke with the NYT are quoted as saying.
On Thursday, Budapest announced that the explosive-laden pagers were “never” in the country.
“Hungarian authorities have established that the company in question is a trading-intermediary company, which has no manufacturing or other site of operation in Hungary. It has one head of operations in Hungary on its listed address and the devices referenced have never been to Hungary,” government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said via social media.
The shipments from BAC started making their way to Lebanon in the summer of 2022 “in small numbers,” but production ramped up earlier this year after Nasrallah denounced the use of smartphones among its ranks.

He, along with the atmospheric scientist Ray Charlson, proposed a feedback mechanism. As the planet warmed, algae would bloom more in the oceans. Since algae release into the air a sulfur aerosol called DMS that helps to seed clouds, then with more algae, more clouds would form, which would then cool the planet, and return it to its baseline temperature...

Working on a tower 80m up in the sky overlooking canopies of biodiverse green, his team collected samples of aerosols. Then peering through scanning electron microscopes, they made a surprising discovery. The aerosols contained potassium. The aerosols had two parts: a core containing potassium-rich salts and a gel-like coating made of volatile organic compounds derived from terpenes. It was a mystery why there should be potassium in the core. Then inspiration hit as the scientists realized that fungi use water containing potassium salts to launch spores into the sky. The potassium salts could, once in the air, then attract terpene-derived molecules onto them [Pöhlker 2012]. They had discovered the symbiotic poetry of fungi partnering with trees to make clouds…

For instance a hormone molecule is a signalling molecule that can trigger a much larger cascade of reactions in a cell, when it lands on the cell membrane receptors. The existence of messenger molecules means organisms can regulate bodily functions without a large expenditure of energy. When systems get complex enough, they begin to develop a language and a messaging/signalling system. The endocrine system using hormones is an example of a messaging/signalling system.

17% Say America Would Be Better Off If Trump Had Been Killed
Seventeen percent (17%) of voters believe America would have been better off if former President Trump had been killed in last week’s attempted assassination.
That figure includes 28% of Democrats who say that America would have been better off if Trump had been assassinated. Another 24% of Democrats were not sure. Fewer than half (48%) of Democrats could bring themselves to say that America would not be better off if the opposing party’s candidate for president had been assassinated.
Scott Rasmussen, president of RMG Research, said “It is hard to imagine a greater threat to democracy than expressing a desire to have your political opponent murdered.”
Despite two assassination attempts in two months, just over half of all Democrats (51%) don’t see a need to increase Trump’s security detail. Among all voters, 62% think Trump’s security should be increased and 32% disagree.
Forty-nine percent (49%) of Democrats think it’s at least somewhat likely that Trump himself or the Trump campaign was involved with the assassination attempt, with 21% saying it was very likely. The United States Geological Survey reports an “Other Event” caused the equivalent of a Magnitude 2.7 earthquake, 0.8 km ABOVE ground at 09:12 UTC this morning. Word is this “Other Event” was . . . . an explosion – possibly of a Hypersonic missile –sent as “a message” to the Untied States…
..There are mountains in that area where the “other event” took place at a “Depth” of -0.8km. Yes, that’s a minus sign in front of the “Depth” meaning the “Other Event” took place above the ground by about 2,624 feet. Some of the mountains in that area ARE that high. So if a missile hit a mountain at that height, the resulting explosion could very well register as a Magnitude 2.7 earthquake “above” ground.
For a frame of reference, when the World Trade Center in New York City collapsed in the attacks of September 11, 2001, seismographs registered the massive collapse as a Magnitude 2.1 “earthquake.” So the fact that this “Other Event” registers stronger . . . . as 2.7 . . . . gives readers an idea of how powerful this “other event” actually was.
There is no visual evidence of any Landslide in that area. There is no major snowpack yet, and so there is no sign of any massive Avalanche.
So what caused this “Other Event” as being reported by the US Geological Survey?

Surplus Energy Economics, Project 2050, part one THE END OF MODERNITY AND A RACE TO THE BOTTOM
Well before 2050, what we think of as “modernity” will have come to an end. Governments are going to try to counter this process by driving public debt up to stratospheric levels.
A reasonable interpretation might be that governments know we can’t borrow our way to prosperity, but have no options beyond ‘extend, pretend and distract’.
As you may know, the time horizon of SEEDS projections has been extended by ten years, to 2050. This, as we shall see, captures the final era of modernity…
..There are many versions of the term “modernity”, but we’re going to use an economic definition here.
For our purposes, modernity is a condition in which individuals and societies can afford to spend large sums on discretionary (non-essential) products and services. On this basis, “pre-modernity” societies were ones in which the vast bulk of economic resources had to be used to ensure the supply of necessities.
What the SEEDS time extension is revealing is that this version of modernity will very largely be gone by the end of the 2040s…
..Our first conclusion can only be that it seems abundantly clear that government expenditures – stated in real terms – are already soaring. Interestingly, transfer payments (including benefits and pensions) seem to be rising markedly more rapidly than spending on public services (such as health care, education and defence).
This implies that one reason for the rapid expansion of government spending might be to assist households – and thus minimise dissatisfaction – by providing support as the real costs of necessities carry on rising more rapidly than incomes (see Fig. 1A).
..A picture may be worth a thousand words, but only two emerge from the graphs in Fig. 1.
The first is “QE”, implying that central banks will have to finance an increasing proportion of government largesse with newly-created (“printed”) money. To paraphrase Milton Freidman, ‘excess money creation is always and everywhere inflationary’.
The second word is “crash”. Anticipating what kind of crash, and when, requires a shift of focus from the purely monetary to the material…
..The primary purpose of the economy isn’t to move money around, but to supply material products and services to society.
It does this by using energy to convert raw materials into products, and into those physical artefacts without which services cannot be provided. It cannot be repeated too often that money has no intrinsic worth, but commands value only as a “claim” on these material products and services.
The factors that determine the performance of the real (material) economy are: the supply of energy; its proportionate cost; the quality of the non-energy natural resource base; and the numbers of people between whom economic prosperity is shared…
..The biggest negatives in the “real” economic scene are (a) rising material energy costs, and (b) continuing (though decelerating) growth in the World’s population.
The Energy Costs of Energy are climbing relentlessly, a process which can barely be moderated, let alone reversed, by the expansion of renewables (see Fig. 2A). These renewables have inferior qualities (most notably, lesser energy densities) than fossil fuels, and are fossil-dependent (making raw material demands that can only be met using legacy energy from oil, natural gas and coal).
ECoEs from all sources of energy, having risen from 2% in 1980 to 10.6% now, are likely to reach 13% by 2030, 18% by 2040 and 25% by 2050.
The advanced economies of the West cannot grow their prosperity at ECoEs above 5%, and neither can EM (emerging market) economies carry on expanding when – as is now the case – ECoEs get into double figures.
As producer costs rise and consumer prosperity decreases, aggregate energy supply is likely to contract. But the really big problem is the fast-growing proportion of energy subject to the “first call” on resources made by ECoE (Fig. 2B).
Top-line economic output is starting to inflect from growth into contraction, even as population numbers continue to increase (Fig. 2C). If we add population growth, and the relentless rise in ECoEs, into the equation, global average prosperity per person has already turned down, and this rate of decline can be expected to accelerate (Fig. 2D).
The critical points here are (a) that the economy of today can’t possibly co-exist with ECoEs of 13%, let alone 25%, and (b) that we have nothing that can prevent this surge in ECoEs from happening.
In short, we’re going to get successively less prosperous over time. We can certainly try to manage this process, but we can’t stop it from happening…
..The impending end of modernity (defined as the age of discretionaries) is illustrated in the next set of charts. From here on, just as material prosperity decreases as the fossil fuels era winds down, so the real costs of essentials will carry on rising, primarily because of the high energy-intensity of so many necessities, including housing, transport, distribution and the supply of food and water.
In 2023, estimated essentials accounted for 32% of ,material economic prosperity. This number is projected to rise to 38% by 2030, 52% by 2040 and 79% by 2050 (see Fig. 3B). Discretionaries, as a proportion of global economic resources, actually peaked in 2004, at 49%, and are set to fall to just 17% by 2050… But, with population numbers still increasing, the per capita affordability of discretionary purchases has already turned down (Fig. 3C).
Though global top-line prosperity per capita has long been flat-lining ahead of an unfolding downturn, only now are households starting to experience the ‘pincer effect’ imposed by rises in the real costs of essentials (Fig. 3D).
..For now, though, here are some regional examples of discretionary compression. China can weather this transition better than most, whilst prospects are markedly better for the United States than for the Euro Area. In Britain, the projected costs of essentials actually overtake aggregate material prosperity by the mid-2040s.
What this really means in practice – in the United Kingdom and elsewhere – is that products and services currently regarded as “essential” will revert to the status of “luxuries”. As I was drifting to bed last night, a lot of people began contacting me about a disaster that was unfolding in California.
What I find astounding about this case is that within minutes of looking into the limited information that was available, I was relatively certain of what happened, and now that her basic labs were posted online, it was indeed what happened. However, as best as I can tell, a fairly straightforward (conventional) diagnosis was missed and Alexis Lorenze has instead been put at risk of a life threatening injury.
I was initially in disbelief this was possible (and to an extent still am), but people directly connected to the situation confirmed this indeed is the case. As this case is an instructive example of medical blindness, I felt it would be helpful to share what happened. Medical Blindness
A major in medicine is that doctors are frequently unable to recognize conditions which:
•Create cognitive dissonance for them (e.g., by forcing them to acknowledge they hurt a patient or accept that the guidelines their medical tribe gave them are flawed).
•They were not taught to identify to recognize (as there is so much complexity to a human being, the majority of physicians lack the innate capacity to see things they weren’t taught to filter for or the willing to seriously consider the significance of things which do not make sense within their cognitive map of the world).
Because of this, physicians frequently fail to recognize a pharmaceutical injury is occurring or believe a patient who claims an injury was linked to a pharmaceutical (particularly since medical education conveniently does not train doctors to recognize these injuries and simultaneously trains them to believe anything patients report that is not backed by science is “anecdotal” and most likely a spontaneous coincidence). This in turn leads to the tragic phenomenon of “medical gaslighting” (discussed further here) something many patients understandably find infuriating...
..Much of the credibility of modern medicine arises from the mythology that it rescued us from the dark ages of infectious disease with vaccinations (when in reality that decline was entirely due to improved public sanitation). Because of this, attacking vaccination directly attacks a doctors identity and social status.
As a result, the medical profession will frequently go to extraordinary lengths to defend a bad vaccine they’ve endorsed—with the COVID-19 vaccines being one of the most absurd examples I’ve seen in my lifetime, but not by any means the first time this has happened...
..Sat, Sept 14, 2pm: Hematologist [whose page has since been deleted] tells Alexis they will not treat her any further unless she is up-to-date on her vaccines. They gave her tetanus, meningitis and pneumonia all at once. She has had ZERO V’s with the exception of when she was a baby. 2 V’s in her left arm and 1 V in her right. Within 10-minutes post vaccines, she couldn’t move her arms and was blind in both eyes.
Within 10 minutes of the 3 vaccines which were given all at the same time, Alexis went temporarily blind in both eyes, had a locked jaw, began vomiting and then things went horribly downhill from there…
..At this point, the hospital did nothing except put her on pain meds and benadryl, and eventually she put out a plea for help on TikTok to save her from the hospital because she was worried she was going to die that subsequently went viral (hence why I was contacted).
Without knowing anything beyond what was in that video, my immediate assessment was:
This is most likely immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) a condition where the immune system attacks its own platelets. •She came in hoping for a blood transfusion, but was told she could not have any more treatment unless she received the vaccines.
•The hospital has given conflicting messages about what vaccines she received (even though the nurse clearly told them which ones were being given).
•Alexis’s entire body is covered with the same hematomas you can see on her face and her body feels as though it is inflated. Additionally, she is in severe pain.
•The doctors have not treated her well (she claims some laughed at her, while another one stated they had never seen anything like this before) and that when she’s hit the call button for basic things she needs, it’s taken hours for nurses to get to her.
•The hospital is convinced this could not have been due to the vaccine, and instead was due to a Parvovirus infection (which a PCR test was positive for). Given that all or her symptoms started 10 minutes after the vaccines…that’s a bit of a stretch but no different from what Suzanne Humphries experienced.
•The tried to transport her out of the hospital but were unable to as she does not have the insurance to get care at another facility... ..Conclusion
I am very hesitant to ascribe motives to people when I can’t read their minds, but in this case, assuming the facts as presented are true, my best guess is that the hospital’s response to Alexis was a combination of fear (especially once she mentioned “malpractice”), uncertainty and paralysis over her situation (e.g., the hematologist who pushed the vaccines on her disappeared), and provides an excellent illustration of why, if you have the choice, smaller rural hospitals rather than academic ivory towers are often much better to go to.
One of the more telling aspects of this story was the hospital threatening to sue Steve Kirsch for publishing Alexis’s medical records (which legally they can’t do), which in turn illustrates that the hospital’s focus is on protecting itself rather than the patient... ..One of the greatest challenges in getting people to believe vaccine injuries is that “evidence” for them doesn’t exist or it’s hard to appreciate the suffering the person is going through. What makes this case unique is that it visually apparent something is wrong (which hence allowed it to go viral) and the temporal relationship is almost impossible to deny. What’s important to remember is that in almost all vaccine injuries, that is not the case (which again illustrates why they frequently get swept under the rug).

Because of this, those injured are often forced to go to online fund raising platforms for their medical expenses (which often doesn’t works). Exploding pagers used in apparent Israeli attacks in Lebanon were made in Hungary, Taiwanese firm says
Israel’s Mossad spy agency planted explosives inside 5,000 pagers imported by Lebanese group Hezbollah months before Tuesday’s detonations that killed 12 people, a senior Lebanese security source and another source told Reuters.
Lebanese health Minister Firass Abiad said on Wednesday that two children were among the 12 killed.
The operation, with a trail running from Taiwan to Budapest, was an unprecedented Hezbollah security breach that saw thousands of pagers explode across Lebanon, wounding nearly 3,000 people, including many of the group’s fighters and Iran’s envoy to Beirut. Explosions were also reported in Damascus, Syria.
The Lebanese security source said the pagers were from Taiwan-based Gold Apollo, but the company said in a statement it did not manufacture the devices. It said they were made by a company called BAC – based in the Hungarian capital – which has a licence to use its brand...
..The senior Lebanese source said the devices had been modified by Israel’s spy service “at the production level”.
“The Mossad inserted a board inside of the device that has explosive material that receives a code. It’s very hard to detect it through any means. Even with any device or scanner,” the source said.
The source said 3,000 of the pagers exploded when a coded message was sent to them, simultaneously activating the explosives.

Back in February Hizbullah had urged its affiliates to avoid smart-phones, which can be controlled by foreign intelligence services, and to instead use pagers to receive text messages and alarms when necessary.
Israel must have recognized that suggestion as a chance to infiltrate the supply chain for these communication tools.
It somehow managed to manipulate pager shipments to Lebanon some of which would be acquired by Hizbullah and its affiliates. Yesterday specific encoded messages were sent to the manipulated pagers. Some moments later they started to blow up. Eleven people were killed and some 4,000 were wounded.
Not all people killed or wounded were members of Hizbullah. Pagers are also used by emergency and volunteer services. Western media avoid to call this attack a terrorist operation. But just ask yourself how they would describe the attack if this had happened to the other side of the conflict.
Pagers are not an exclusive means of Hizbullah. The attack was indiscriminate. The explosions happened in many situations of daily life – during visits in shops (vid), in driving cars in the middle of traffic, near to bystanders including children.
The pagers were sold under the brand name of Gold Apollo, a Taiwanese company specialized in such devices. But, according to the company, the devices sold in Lebanon were manufactured under license by the Hungarian company BAC Consulting KFT.

Elijah Magnier reports (vid) that the delivery of the pagers had been held up for several months by customs in a Middle Eastern country. The time was allegedly used by Israeli services to dismantle the devices and to replace their original Lithium-Ion batteries with ones which included explosives and birdshot to create a maximum of damage. The electronics of the devices were manipulated to trigger delayed explosions after the pager received a certain coded message.
This very sophisticated operations must have cost millions and must have involved a quite large number of specialists.
It would have been ideal for Israel to trigger such a mayhem as part of a general attack on Hizbullah. It would have increased Hizbullah’s time to implement its defense plans. To my mind it is essential to mention that the Deep State, which, as these gentlemen say, is normally a force for continuity in the government of any of the Great Powers as they deal with the complexities of the world, lost all balance of skills and judgment back in 2002 when it was gutted by Vice President Dick Cheney. At that time, in the wake of 9/11 and in the midst of the War on Terror, Cheney carried out a purge of the State Department and of the intelligence services with a view to making them highly partisan, which is to say, bastions of Neocon thinking.
