I find it highly annoying that almost everybody in the west, who speaks about Putin in a positive light must also shove in the caveat that they know he’s this or that negative thing but; all in all, he’s done a decent job so far.
Hell, he’s one of the last true statesmen left on this planet. If anybody has kept us from WWIII, it’s Putin and Lavrov!
Here is an interesting view into the character of the man; it’s pretty impressive IMO.
But, of course, I know he’s got flaws and is far from perfect. (Sarcasm) 😉

Ilargi, can you resize the video? So all of the text can be read?
Putin faced down a crowd of more than 5,000 people, single handedly.
    Pretty damned impressive, IMO.

If you shoot some 100 piece of iron into the sky, its going to comedown somewhere and cause damage.

If you blow-up some 70 pieces of iron into the sky, with more iron, its all going to come down somewhere and cause damage.

If you fire a bullet into the sky its going to come back down and cause some damage.

Last night it rained so hard that it woke me up. Fortunately, the rain did not cause any damage.

    Let’s do some math.
100 – 70 means that aprox. 30 missiles hit 3 targets and cause no damage to the stored chemical weapons.
So-o-o-o the USA claim to have had a success.

    Hehehehehehe

    Bloggers are irrelevant.

Lets look at Homs in Syria where the chemical were suppose to be stored for the alleged chemical attack at Dourma.
Homs has only been under control since May. 1, 2017.

Homs is also home to several large public heavy industries, such as the oil refinery west of the city which opened in 1959

A new sugar refinery is being built by a Brazilian company, and an automobile plant is under construction by Iran Khodro. Also a new phosphate plant and oil refinery are being built east of the city.

On 13 March 2017, the first batch of remaining rebels in the Waer neighbourhood agreed to leave Homs with their families and depart to Jarabulus.[379] The evacuation of rebels along with their family members began on 18 March.[380] On 27 March, 1,850 rebels and residents departed the neighbourhood in 45 buses.[381] A final batch of 3,000 people, including 700 rebels, left Homs on 21 May. 1, 2017, 150 rebels chose to stay and surrendered their weapons. With this, the Syrian government regained full control of Homs.[

At least 12 dead in heavy strikes on base

Locals reported over 20 missiles hit the site, and Syrian media initially expressed the belief that this was a US attack. The Pentagon denied involvement, however, and both US and Russian officials have since confirmed the attack was Israeli.

General Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, said three facilities were struck: the first a scientific research center in the Damascus area; the second a chemical-weapons storage facility west of Homs, which he said the U.S. “assessed … was [the] primary location of Syrian sarin;” and third, another chemical-weapons equipment storage facility and command post. There was no coordination with Russia on the strikes, nor was Moscow informed, he said.

He said Syria had launched 40 surface-to-air missiles in an attempt to shoot the allied weapons down, but that most of them had been fired after the last Syrian target had already been destroyed.
The three bases targeted were the Barzah Research and Development Centre in greater Damascus, the Him Shinshar Chemical Weapons Storage Facility, west of Homs, and the Him Shinshar Chemical Weapons Bunker Facility, just more than four miles from the storage facility.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shayrat_Airbase
Shayrat Airbase (FAA LID: OS65) is home to the Syrian Air Force 50th Air Brigade located in Homs. It has two runways and around 40 hardened shelters.
According to the Trump administration, the base is also believed to contain a chemical weapons storage depot.[2]

On 6 April 2017, on the orders from U.S. President Donald Trump, USS Ross and USS Porter (both based in the Mediterranean) fired 60 Tomahawk missiles at Shayrat airfield, with 59 reaching the base, according to the CBS Evening News, in response to a suspected chemical attack in the town of Khan Shaykhun in the Idlib Province.
RT says only 23 of the 59 Tomahawk missiles launched at Syria hit their targets. CBS says 58 of 59
