ParticipantDear Dr. D and WES,
My analysis and intuition informs me western bankers are implementing a population load shedding operation on the world.
Regarding Iran, I believe Iran just wants to be free to live their lives in their civilization.
The four horsemen of the Apocalypse are visible on the horizon.
The White horse signaling Plague
The Red horse signaling War
The Black horse signaling Famine and
The Pale horse signalling DeathI wish I knew Russian as that is where I would be headed

ParticipantSimplicius, Anti-Blockade Blockade Comes Into Effect to Mass Confusion”
Every other word is an emotional, pejorative word. That means he has no facts, and the facts he has are now in question. What is the “Mass confusion”? Go ahead. The U.S. has no idea which ships are ours or who is in command of the US Navy? THAT would be mass confusion. This is just “We are implementing new policy in a very boring, methodical way.”
“with an alleged 16 US warships attempting to enforce it somewhere”
“Alleged”? Are you saying you think we have no ships at all? You didn’t bother to ASK? Enforce “Somewhere?” That somewhere is “the Strait of Hormuz” you said so yourself, they’re not going to give you up-to-minute GPS locations, moron. What is this? The definition of “I make s—t up”.
“This has led to a wide array of speculation” So people don’t know. And you don’t either because you’re wasting my time instead of NAMING what theories people DO know. Why are you doing that? A: because there ARE theories, and people DO know, but you are in a fit of “Not noticing.”
“what exactly is happening,” As opposed to what INEXACTLY is happening? Why are these words here? A: Unrelenting Bias.
“how much fact vs. fiction there is” Same. It’s YOUR job to propose what fact is, dips—t. That’s why we read you. Bias.
“Trump’s ambitious claims.”
Cap’n Cheeto said “The US Navy can sink boats”, that’s not f—ing ambitious, but I guess you’ve never read a thing about “soldiering” “Governments” or “War” now. A: Bias.
Whole articles, planets of ink lost TRYING NOT TO UNDERSTAND THINGS. Desperately seeking the NOT UNDERSTANDING. The Nirvanna of “Not Noticing”.
“That, however, doesn’t stop many from speculating” That they don’t know anything.
“current peace talks are still a deflection from a troop build-up” Yes, dips—t if there is no “Peace” then there is WAR. Who knew except you? You HAVE read books, right?
“..At the end of the day,” More words of no meaning, desperately wasting our time “not noticing”
“ the anti-blockade blockade charade has devolved into a scrum of he-said-she-said,” No, we have apparently let through a dozen ships and turned back a dozen, it’s been ONE DAY.
“ which will likely continue playing out over the coming days.” Meaing: “I have no earthy idea, throwin’ at the wall here.”
“bogus, gaggle, humiliation, erratic, exasperated, circus” All illegal, opinion words that are not allowed except in OpEd. Not one fact within a dozen paragraphs.
“Europe now eyeing plans for a parallel Hormuz “reset” without any American involvement…”
He then “Does not notice” how hilarious and unworkable even the PROPOSAL of that is. If Naval ships have no earthly power, such that we wonder why any man ever built them, then perhaps Europe with NO NAVY AT ALL, really is superior! #Logic!
“Iran is rebuilding whatever as lost, while the US has depleted its most advanced and strategic systems.”
His premise is, Iran, with no money, can instantly rebuild everything, despite having no gas, factories, roads, or revenue.
America, who can PRINT money, by the $40 TRILLION, and has, can NOT build a paper clip. Ah. Good to know there’s literally no point in anyone bombing Missile factories, or having every missile factory not-bombed. And here after reading all the books on “War” n’ stuff, I foolishly thought there was a difference between them.
“Any future resumption of hostilities will give Iran an increasingly bigger edge,”
If they have a “Bigger edge” why wait?? Attack today!! The “Bigger edge” is that we have total air superiority and can hit a swamp rat at 100 miles there, whereas BEFORE we started the war, Iran DID have serious air defense. So again, his genius statement is that NO air defense is far, far superior to ANY air defense. Wow! Thanks! We could save a TON of money now that we know air defense has no military purpose whatsoever! Man those Iranians are smart in shutting it all off!
“mystique, eroded, squandered, ineffective” Yes, I mean we leveled the country and all air defense, but now that we just learned factories don’t make weapons and air defense has no military purpose, I guess blowing everything up really WAS “ineffective”! You’re right!
“Trump appears to intuit this,” Meaning: “I haven’t the faintest idea, just making s—t up”
“which is why he’s now targeting Iran economically in the hopes of simply crashing its economy.”
Now TIME ITSELF has gone missing for Simplicus. We did that YEARS AGO, dude. Iran has been in shambles for years, — everyone like you called it a war crime, remember? — but AT LEAST when they started printing like $100M bill worth $20 just before April. Trump is “Hoping” for a thing, “Already accomplished in the past.” by ANY economist, pro or con, east or west.
“But this would never work,” he says, ignoring it’s already completely totally enacted. So what are his sources in Iran saying “Food is more plentiful than Moscow, kids are playing in the streets”? None. He WANT it to be true, so HE MAKES IT ALL UP, with no facts, no details, no justification, whatsoever. He claims none. “Just Sez S–t”
“The US has very few cards, and it is for the Americans—and particularly Trump’s political career—that time is ticking.”
What cards do we not have, having ALREADY leveled Iran, their economy, their weapons, and presently embargoing all their revenue while ALL the world’s ships rush to Texas to make us filthy rich?
And: Trump doesn’t have a political career, retard, He’s 80 and this is already his last Presidency. He’s not going to become mayor of Wilkes-Barre. He, personally, has literally nothing, not a thing, nothing, nada, zilch, to worry about.
Yes, and this is just ONE of a TORRENT of mind-bending retardation FIRE HOSE of CRAZY each MINUTE of the day now. BY Simplicus, who used to be able to string two coherent ideas together. But Trump broke his brain by doing REALLY REALLY obvious, normal, geopolitical s—t.
Hey Simplicius, Bombs Blow Things Up: True? Or False?

The U.S. has no idea which ships are ours or who is in command of the US Navy? THAT would be mass confusion. This is just “We are implementing new policy in a very boring, methodical way.”
Or the emotional language MIGHT be the expression of frustration at how S L O W and ignorant the United States is at recognizing and handling the mass chaos in international sea-borne trade that it is generating and fanning into uproarious conflagration with it’s “boring new policy” (which policy is basically the “wing-it-on-the-fly” policy of writing ever-shifting new “rules” the way Calvin and Hobbs do in their “Calvin Ball” games.
As for 17 ships managing a blockade of tens of thousands of square miles of open sea to control the movement of thousands of ships with hundreds of different owners, flags, contractual arrangements and arrangements agreed upon by guarantors and partners who happen to be ATMOMIC ARMED MAJOR WORLD POWERS who also have a dog in the fight.
Get a grip on your brain cells, Doc. 17 ships or 17 HUNDRED ships could not that task against a well armed high tech adversary, because this is not the Barbary Coast in 1801 and Trump ain’t no Thomas Jefferson. The United States Armed Forces entire cannot blockade an entire fucking OCEAN.
Besides, it’s not the ships OR missiles causing the problem now. It’s the ability to guarantee safe passage….. and for the foreseeable future THAT is being done rather effectively by Iran and friends. Get used to it.

Participant@Dr.D: Simplicius didn’t mean to insult you personally. He is frustrated, as I read him. He does not understand the rationale(s) for this war completely enough to make sense of actions taken.
Israel needs to destroy economic/military regional rival, Iran, and the US needs Iran as an oil-pumping colony to support the petrobuck, like the good old days. These we all “get”.
The overarching rationale for this war, as it is being MANAGED, is to front-run the predestined decline of industrial economic output, as per The Limits To Growth projections, with some control-narrative (WAR) that explains what is happening, and even throttles it down a bit more, so that people don’t see the truth that the cheap and easy oil, gas and ores have declined to the point that industrial economy can’t grow, or even plateau, but has to decline.
This keeps our owners in control, holding the levers of scarcity and fear in the world, as physical economy declines entropically.April 16, 2026 at 8:34 pm #238537Michael Reid

ParticipantUS navy ships including the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Tripoli are reported to be “short on food.”
“The food is tasteless and there’s not nearly enough and they’re hungry all the time.”
“Morale is going to be at an all-time low.“
“The 3,500 sailors and Marines aboard the Tripoli and its two accompanying warships are now tasked with enforcing the U.S. blockade of ships leaving Iranian ports, according to the U.S. Central Command.”From USA Today today –

“A picture shared by a US Marine deployed on the USS Tripoli of a meal service that members on board received.”
“A picture of dinner on the USS Abraham Lincoln sent to family by a service member on board.”The Pentagon did not respond to a request for comment on the mail stoppage or reports that some U.S. vessels were short on food.
A Texas mother whose son, a Navy sailor, is also aboard the Tripoli, said she panicked after hearing he was hungry on the ship. Her family has now spent at least $2,000 on care packages, but none have reached her son. The mother asked to remain anonymous out of fear her son would face retaliation.
Supplies “are going to get really low,” and the crew doesn’t anticipate any port visits until the ship returns from its mission, he wrote in a message on March 11.
“Morale is going to be at an all-time low,” he wrote.
Karen Erskine-Valentine, pastor of a church in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, said she was alarmed to hear from a community member whose son is in the Middle East aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln about the poor quality of food on the ship. The Abraham Lincoln is one of two aircraft carriers sent to the region, along with the USS Gerald Ford. A third, the USS George H.W. Bush, is on the way.
“The food is tasteless and there’s not nearly enough and they’re hungry all the time,” Erskine-Valentine said. “That kind of breaks your heart.”
The Tripoli has been at sea for more than a month since it left its home port in Japan to join the Iran war. The 3,500 sailors and Marines aboard the Tripoli and its two accompanying warships are now tasked with enforcing the U.S. blockade of ships leaving Iranian ports, according to the U.S. Central Command.
