What the hell is really going on?
Collectively, I’ve never witnessed the insanity exhibited by the west before.
Trumps present advisors are insane; and it just gets worse; this cannot end well! Duh?
I’d suggest bending over and kissing your ass goodbye…
The Gilets Jaunes need to go world wide; but, they’ll not be enough; we lost…

That cartoon is so old we have to keep changing the names over the doors to add new ones. …Lots and lots of new ones.

Funny how the “Foreign aid” nonsense started only when the illegal Benghazi-type gun running (CIA textbook) got intercepted in public last week. A textbook intro here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_Sycamore , consensus reality.

While obviously I’m not fond of Maduro or his policies, I believe far MORE in national sovereignty and self-determination. As does the U.N., who have sold out 100% of any residual belief and credibility they had left, scraping it off the bottom of the jar with a spatula. So, U.N., IF it’s policy and the only legal route under international law, under what legal statute do you presume the right to call “snap” elections in any nation of your choosing, unsupported by any national law? Is it your common practice to decide the leaders of nations and permit other nations to chronically interfere in elections and dictate those leaders by supporting violence? A: YES!!! The U.N. has always existed simply to create plausible cover for illegal wars of aggression in Iraq and Serbia and to “vote” to let the CIA overthrow 100-some nations with natural resources we would like to deliver over the dead bodies of their people. And the citizens cheer!

Well folks, Jacques or Normandie and Jack of North Carolina, thanks to never stopping them before, now it’s YOU they want – YOUR resources, YOUR death. First they came for Indiana, but I did nothing…

“Lagarde said oil producing countries should look to renewable energy in the coming decades, in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change, which stipulates a reduction in greenhouse emissions.”

So because their budgets are destroyed and they’re dying, they should sell LESS oil? And having unlimited virtually free energy domestically, should instead use expensive energy sources that barely break even EIEO? And this will HELP their economy and their people while we double their trade deficit importing this technology? Yup, she’s an economist all right.

So the World Bank is a terrible, abusive institution, but anyone who is AGAINST them is a terrible, abusive person? Gotcha. Modern media logic at work.

“Spain went from right-wing to socialist government, and nothing changed.”

    That’s because “Right Wing” IS “Socialist”: They’re both Statists. i.e. anti-freedom, pro-control.

Today’s offering, Petrobuck Waterloo, opens with more global currency trade extraction insights http://www.johndayblog.com/2019/02/petrobuck-waterloo.html

Michael Hudson, who has the clearest views of international flows of finance and goods, of any economist I have read, looks at the American (“Super Imperialist”) relationship with Venezuela.

There is no way that’s Chavez and Maduro could have pursued a pro-Venezuelan policy aimed at achieving economic independence without inciting fury, subversion and sanctions from the United States. American foreign policy remains as focused on oil as it was when it invaded Iraq under Dick Cheney’s regime. U.S. policy is to treat Venezuela as an extension of the U.S. economy, running a trade surplus in oil to spend in the United States or transfer its savings to U.S. banks.
By imposing sanctions that prevent Venezuela from gaining access to its U.S. bank deposits and the assets of its state-owned Citco, the United States is making it impossible for Venezuela to pay its foreign debt. This is forcing it into default, which U.S. diplomats hope to use as an excuse to foreclose on Venezuela’s oil resources and seize its foreign assets much as Paul Singer’s hedge fund sought to do with Argentina’s foreign assets.
Just as U.S. policy under Kissinger was to make Chile’s “economy scream,” so the U.S. is following the same path against Venezuela. It is using that country as a “demonstration effect” to warn other countries not to act in their self-interest in any way that prevents their economic surplus from being siphoned off by U.S. investors.

Venezuela as the pivot for New Internationalism?

    The hypocritical arrogance is priceless.

    no.
First you got to see the point of view of the other guy.
Then you can see the logic.

If you want to win ….Don’t play heads or tail with loaded logic or a loaded coin.

If someone is looking for support from the populist then they will say things like this but will not be able to make it happen.

    A new way to lie.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-10/salvini-calls-elimination-italys-central-bank-prison-time-fraudsters

“fraudsters” who inflicted losses on Italian savers should “end up in prison for a long time.”

central bank independence was under threat by populist government

By now US is fully aware that world is laughing on their “bringing freedom” to targeted country.
Choice of alternate president who looks as randomly picked dumb from some hi school hallway is “into our face” so to speak.
