The unsettling thing is that headlines like this exist. Both because they happen, because of their presentation of them, and because the media are the ones who caused their own insanity.
Kazakhstan, still tracking, since for the first time this year, and only a peppering of times in decades, the CNN article on it is NOT a press release from the CIA desk. It was journalism – ouch, that must have pained them – and yet didn’t have any better insight than just “this exists.” So that means it was NOT a long-term CIA revolution, or at least not in the usual way. I can’t believe the Black Hats are so weak in their major agency they can’t figure out how to lie properly about Russia to their friends, so something else. It does not appear to be Putin’s child, necessarily, or they’d be better polished with a better story.
It’s possible – on the outer fringes – that something real happened that wasn’t meddled and pre-planned by anyone.

I started feeling sick Thursday, got in an appointment for a PCR on Saturday, but they said not to expect results for 2-5 days due to backlog. I’m against the fixation on testing, but need to for work protocols. Got my hands on a rapid home test last night, came back quite positive.
I’m feeling pretty good, took my 3rd dose of IVM this morning. Also continuing with my VitD and Zinc, which I’ve been doing since early on. And aspirin, and an antihistamine with 10mg Loradine.
Light fever comes and goes, occasional headache, runny nose, muscle and bone aches, loss of appetite. The worst was a generalized lower back pain that was very uncomfortable.
It was all so mild that I amost did not go on the IVM, but I thought why not give myself all possible advantage.
Glad to have a so far mild case, with the benefits of getting some antibodies going, without putting some weird genetic substance in my body.
I’m assuming taking IVM still allows you to develop full antibody reaction?

Ask me again after Covid is gone, and if you are able to do so, then the answer will be yes you did.
And at this time I must confess to a wicked and defenseless bad thought that I’m not sure which side of that contest I am rooting for. That’s a joke, by the way. I would choose you over the virus at least 9 times out of 10.
Gettting back to your arithmetic point, however, the actual answer is that it is literally impossible (arithmetically or otherwise) to definitively answer the question in the form that you ask it, because it is not possible to determine WHY you did not have covid. Perhaps you were not exposed? Perhaps you were exposed but the virus faailed to replicate? Maybe you are innanately immune and/or have such ferocious T-Cells from Hell that pathogens run away in fear. What I DO know is that , at the end of the day, those who have not died have survived . That’s a useful answer for folks in general but not so useful to scientists (who for some reason really like numbers.) In other words, you asked a dumb question.
Either reframe your question or drop the subject.

Since you seem unable to follow along, let me “dumb” it down for you.

He uses the wrong denominator in that calculation. Do you know what a denominator is? Do you think it would be wise to use the correct one when determining survival rate of a pandemic? Do you understand that dividing deaths by total populations is a sort of denial trick used by the anti-vax crowd? To use the largest possible denominator to make the death toll look rather insignificant is a bit misleading, don’t you think?
Essentially, Raul, and all the other people spreading that BS figure around, include people who have never contracted covid into their calculation. So, that is why I asked “if I never had covid, did I survive covid?”.
Divide deaths by the number of cases, not by entire populations of people who may or may not have had the virus. Then get back to me.
