I’ve always considered Banksy a great artist; but this wonderful painting also shows his depth and diversity…
Prior to this all I’d seen is his fantastic street art…

ParticipantThe true cause of inflation in the 1970s was rising energy prices – including the 1973 OPEC oil embargo – which drove the cost of everything upward. Even the recession – which economists and bankers credit Paul Volcker with creating – turns out to have been the result of the oil shock from the Iranian revolution and the Iran-Iraq war. And while neoliberal governments took the opportunity to crush unions and tear holes in social safety nets, what brought a brief return of prosperity in the 1990s was the opening up of new oil deposits in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea, together with a banking deregulation that generated billions of dollars, pounds and euros in debt-based derivatives, underwritten by the anticipated profits from that new oil.

Participant“I am a dinosaur, but I have never seen these things,” Saudi minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, who’s been attending OPEC meetings since the 1980s, said Tuesday at a conference in Abu Dhabi, referring to the surge in prices for refined products. “The world needs to wake up to an existing reality. The world is running out of energy capacity at all levels.”

ParticipantVery nice article on energy (again) https://mises.org/wire/lighting-gas-under-european-feet-how-politicians-and-journalists-get-energy-so-wrong
Where all of vanguard Germany’s renewables are barely visible on the overall German energy chart. So they need to 20x their production. And do it without Russian coal and nickel. So they need the acres of 20 more Germanys to site the windmills for the one Germany they have. Which everyone told them for 30 years.
Article then follows the sort of gaslighting it takes to make someone irrational enough to hang themselves like that. But I was thinking of the opposite: “gaslighting” has become near-universal, used from the old haunts at Government and Brothels (but I repeat myself) down to the grocery line now. But gaslighting isn’t the behavior of abusers and crazy people, of thieves and murderers, it’s the behavior of only a certain KIND of abuser and crazy person: narcissists and Borderline Personality. A thief alone just wants your stuff and takes it; he doesn’t want or need to talk to you. Murder is overwhelmingly a crime of passion, and other murders today like embezzlement and false science are crimes of degree, slowly getting larger as they are rewarded. They don’t want to be talked to either, or to look too closely.
So I can only say that we have given over control of our whole culture to narcissistic sociopaths who think “I” = “we” and as crazy people require everyone else to share their deadly and fatal delusions.
But why would we do that? Narcissists are a tiny minority and only one part of society. Where do they find enough codependents who support and advance them? To do so they would need a vast field of victims who refuse to think and act for themselves or take action, work, and responsibility. Who love rules and order, cause and effect, and will stand by them. Who want other people to choose and promise them something for nothing even if they never come through. Does anyone know how we would create such a body? Childlike puppy-things? By the millions?
Gaslighting and accepting it: “Soros-Backed Prosecutor Violated Ethics Rules in Pursuit of Former Governor”
If she’s looking into him, he must be guilty! So we hear all over. “Guilty until proven innocent”, and guilty after that too. This is a lady of color it seems, in St. Louis, near Ferguson where we had years of reports of the most egregious police and prosecutorial misconduct, including the sudden death of several people opposing it. No time for her to look into that, too busy tampering with evidence on political foes.
Specifically: “Giving the proper evidence to defendants is “one of the most basic responsibilities of a prosecutor,” the panel said.”
Yes, that’s what didn’t happen in ANY J6 case so far, camera footage, records from police, nor the Hunter laptop the FBI had about Ukraine during impeachment, nor lots o’ lots of other times, “60% of the time it’s every time.”™ That we violate your civil rights and the very first federal laws ever written. Erasing the entire Legal and Justice system for profit.
I thought violating Civil Rights was a serious issue? We marched for Civil Rights and equality and justice and all that?
“The video footage was shot by part-time filmmaker Rico La Starza.”
Because the footage you paid for from the Capital Police cameras is not released to the defendants in violation of every law and FOIA request. Like all other gov’t documents and FOIA requests. 75 years to release Pfizer, anyone? We’re still looking for the release of JFK and MLK. Now what could POSSIBLY be in them after all this time to keep them secret?
Roe fails in the Senate and like M4A and a posse of other legislation, I can only think of how Obama held a supermajority for years and didn’t pass any of it. Beliefs, support for da womens and all that. (Yes, women existed back then, the bigot, but those were different times) I can’t say the same for the Republicans because their issue was that they COULDN’T pass like legislation, as it had already been passed by the Supreme Court without legislation. That is, if they passed it, the Court would only have struck it down again, and in fact they did pass it in several states but cannot enforce. But now, now they try to pass it as a real, live law? After 50 years?
Can you tell me who’s running things here? Because it certainly doesn’t appear to be the People or the Legislatures. The legislatures look like they’re run by a howler of monkeys or something.
(If only. Then at least they would prioritize stocking and eating bananas, which our present occupants are incapable of)
Jimmy Dore on a WaPo editorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCC_KtRZO98
In it, the NeoCon/NeoLibs literally say the only way to avert a nuclear war in in Russia, is to IMMEDIATELY start a nuclear war against Russia. Dr. Strangelove, eat your heart out. This is how a howler of chimpanzees would be VASTLY SUPERIOR to the monkeys we have in there now.
That leads us to Finland: Yes, but NATO knows they do not have enough men to occupy Ukr and Finland both. They are trying to run WWIII. A WWIII which we started, and are totally in, not “proxy” at all. The only way to not have a war with Russia is to IMMEDIATELY start a full hot-war with Russia.
“a trap, but either way it went horribly wrong for the Ukrainians. They lost four jet fighters and strike aircraft, up to 10 helicopters, a corvette and three infantry landing craft. More than 60 of their personnel were killed, of which 27 were abandoned on the island.”
Wow. And if they’re in Kherson, now the Ukr Army too far in their rear to be a problem, Odessa is essentially done if they want it. I see they haven’t managed to get Transnistria, the armory, etc into the fight. Again, Odessa means they not only own Ukraine, THEY OWN ALL OF EUROPE. No shipping anywhere outside the Atlantic? Russia has now surrounded and besieged Europe and Europeans as if they are in one castle: no food.
“Whoever says ‘oligarchs’ automatically says ‘corruption’.”That may be true because it is a perjorative word. It does not, however, mean “rich people”. Obviously it can, but they are two different classes. I’m reminded of the many nobles in revolutionary France who were furiously attempting reforms for decades at great personal risk to fix their country. Many were rounded up and chopped. LaFayette only barely missed this because of his stature from America and there were better men than him.
Rich people are commonly clueless and like the rest of us only focus on their own interests, but most will be happy to tell you how to be wealthy too, and all the nonsensical loopholes they use to do it that should be closed. People like Kiyosaki and Jim Rogers regularly write books about it, and the exact things the people must advocate, enact, or do to stop the bribery, theft, and runaway income disparity. No one reads the books and no one does them. They don’t cancel their Chase card, they don’t uninstall their Facebook account. They complain, and later, they will burn down cities (the black parts) and murder. The murder doesn’t change the loopholes and doesn’t change the structure. Only OUR being responsible and moral can do that, which is the one change we will not make: in ourselves.
“Pine Island Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company that claimed to have “unusual access to information”
Speaking of oligarchs, yes, that’s called “Insider Trading” and it’s a crime. We know it’s oligarchs because no investigations of an admitted or suggested crime are pending. Unlike the rest of us, who might have spoken at a PTA meeting, or posted on Facebook in Canada.
“Garland Allowing ‘Mob Rule’ in US – GOP (Fox)”
It is quite arguably a crime, but perhaps an unconsitutional one. That’s enforced whenever they feel like it, as shown today. The EXACT crime suggested for J6: intimidation and interference in government business. I don’t know if it’s ILLEGAL, but I can tell you it’s clearly wrong. We wish to influence the OFFICE, not the PERSON. So you protest at the government building and not their personal home. This would be like MLK taking up violence. The whole point of protesting is the lack of violence and extortion because you are taking the moral high ground of doing right. If you add violence, your “protest” becomes a “mob”. By going to their house you are pretty clearly doing wrong, it’s clearly harassment if you make any noise or disruption at all, and thereby losing. But if you lose and can’t persuade people because of your illogic and violent tactics, simply censor, beat, and burn more until they Do What They’re Told. That’s how you win over hearts and minds: with pure violence.
“When you have them by the b—s, their hearts and minds will follow.” Or does that not work and people like you less after?
Saudi is running out of oil. However, Iran and Russia are not and have many decades left. Speak for yourself and not others.

ParticipantWhat if Russia gets fed up with the West and halts ALL exports immediately.
Europe would fall apart within weeks. A lot of businesses would fail and bankrupt banks. The derivatives market would impact the global financial system. Petrol and oil would run out bringing most transport to a halt. There would be chaos. People would start dying.
I think Russia would be in a position to say that supplies will be reinstated IF all EU countries abandon NATO and stop any aggression towards Russia. The EU can have a European army but they will suffer for any aggression to Russia.
It is interesting to note that truckers in the east of the US have been warned that it is likely that diesel may start running out at some gas stations, and that they should top up at every opportunity.
The main cause quoted is that so much US oil is being exported to Europe! With elections looming how long before the US is forced to abandon these exports?
This is a strong article on the likely events in Europe :

The West’s sanctions, Putin said, were fomenting a global crisis that would whiplash against the European Union and trigger famine for some of the world’s poorest countries.“The blame for this lies entirely with the elites of Western countries who are ready to sacrifice the rest of the world to maintain their global dominance,” Putin said at a televised government meeting on the economy.
Still, Putin said, Russia was coping with the pressure.
“Russia is confidently coping with external challenges thanks to both the responsible macroeconomic policies of recent years and systemic decisions to strengthen economic sovereignty, technological and food security.”

ParticipantI can’t tell if the Ukraine thing is just a particularly bad jest or if they are really trying to get us all nuked. But this one points to the idea that this is a scripted joke being played on the entire world, while the real shit (looting of the commons across the globe) is being hidden behind the tom-foolery and jive. So I guess both real and inane at the same time. Like sending the First Lady into a fucking war zone while active shooting is taking place. What country on earth would do such a thing? (Assuming Jill Biden was actually in Ukraine….)
In any case, I have never seen such silly shit during a time of war in my life as the below:
*****************Zelensky’s iconic fleece sold for over $100,000 at Ukraine fundraiser
(CNN)A fleece jacket worn and signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sold for £90,000, or around $111,000, at a fundraiser for Ukraine in London on Thursday.
“Today, the whole word looks up to a man wearing a simple fleece jacket,” the Ukrainian Embassy to the United Kingdom said in a video posted on Twitter that included footage of Zelensky wearing the jacket. “And now the iconic item, personally signed by President Zelensky, is here.”
The goal of the event was to “tell the stories of (Ukrainian) bravery which became iconic during the war, as well as to raise funds to support this bravery,” according to a tweet from the embassy. […]
The “Brave Ukraine” fundraiser, which included toys donated by Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska and photographs by late photographer Max Levine as well as Zelensky’s jacket, was hosted by the Ukrainian Embassy in London at the Tate Modern art gallery. The event raised over $1 million for “With Ukraine,” the embassy’s official fundraising effort. Most of the funds will go toward the reequipment of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center, said the embassy.
In a speech at the fundraiser, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson commended Zelensky’s leadership after the Ukrainian president addressed attendees via video call.
“What an honor to speak after my friend Volodymyr Zelenskyy, truly one of the most incredible leaders of modern times,” he said, according to a transcript from the British government. […]

ParticipantGlobal Wars:
Everywhere you look there is a global war being waged against us, little people.
There is now deathly silence coming from the war in the Ukraine. Since people are now dying of artillery shelling, well out of sight, there are no opportunities to make any interesting videos.
There is a US self inflicted energy war being imposed on us, by our own masters. Why today Biden just cancelled all oil and gas leases in Alaska. I guess he forgot about Alaska, after earlier canceling all onshore and offshore federal oil and gas leases in the US. Biden has also started pumping the US oil reserves dry. Biden has also forbidden banks from financing oil and gas companies too. All of these steps, and more, have been taken with your best interests in mind!
Reducing food production is another war against us, altogether! US railways have been ordered to strictly limit shipping of urgently needed fertilizer within thee US. Naturally US food processing plants that never ever caught fire before are now all of a sudden catching fire or even blowing up!
Killing of US babies is now approved at the highest levels of US government. Producing baby formula hasn’t been allowed for 3 months. Abortion is clearly eing protected. At least they are being consistent.
Then there is the war on our money. The Fed is pleased that interest rates are only at 0.5% while inflation rages at double digits. The Fed is also very pleased that nobody is pressuring them to hurry in raising interest rates to fight inflation.
Then there is the ongoing war on our freedom of expression. The Ministry of Truth’s new illegal czar now wants the power to rewrite everything you say!
The WHO wants to impose an international vaccine passport to be able to control our ability to travel anywhere. Not vaxxed, then you can not board a bus, train, or airplane. Your local government can then easily further restrict your movements, like from even leaving your home.
Then there is the ongoing war being actively waged on our personal health. The covididiots are already dying before our very eyes, if you dare open your eyes. Average life expectancy is falling. The covididiots are blaming the non-vaxxed for all their problems and for not selfishly wanting to die with them.
Then there is the ongoing propaganda war against us. Every year the propaganda pressure against us keeps increasing. The level of mind pollution is sickening.
I am so sick and tired of all of these wars being waged against us. I am sure I forgot to mention a whole bunch more wars currently being waged against us.
So I hope you don’t mind if I take a badly needed nap where I can dream of opening the island cottage even though I know the melting river ice crushed my fixed docks into tooth picks.

ParticipantSo, in the usual way these things go, Health and Human Services are allowing comment on amendments to the International Health Regulations for only twenty-four hours(!). If you’re in the U.S. and see this and it is still Thursday evening, please click the link and submit a short pithy comment; they have a form letter at the site, but I wrote my own (reproduced below the link, feel free to plagiarize):
24 Hours Left: Comment at the Stakeholder Listening Session for 75th World Health Assembly
There’s also an email address on the page if you want to send your comment directly, which is what I did. Here’s my letter; yes, the caps mean I’m shouting.
Dear HHS Office of Global Affairs administrator,
*I represent myself and no one else and I am writing to voice my opinion on amendments to the International Health Regulations.*
The WHO intends to amend 13 IHR articles: 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 48, 49, 53, 59
We have just lived through two years of hell, overseen by health departments acting at the behest of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the globalists. What I see in the proposed amendments is MORE SURVEILLANCE, MORE INACCURATE FEAR-GENERATING MODELS, MORE CENTRALIZED GLOBAL CONTROL, and MORE RELIANCE ON SECRET SOURCES. I reject all of that. We are not cattle, to be herded, nudged, jabbed, and controlled. We are sovereign beings, responsible for our own health.
The historical record is very clear: those states and countries which ignored or rejected the WHO did substantially better than those which locked down, those who gave in to fear, those that ignored natural immunity, and those that went jab-crazy with a non-sterilizing experimental gene therapy. There is NEVER a good case to be made for ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL responses. There is never a good case to be made for handing over absolute control over our lives to unelected, unaccountable global bureaucrats.
The fact that these amendments are even being proposed after the spectacular failure of WHO policy during COVID is testimony to the corruption and power-hungry nature of the WHO. The WHO is a FAILURE. The International Health Regulations should be ABOLISHED, not augmented.
I WILL NOT COMPLY.
