The narrative—Biden as the only bulwark against Trump—was preserved by filtering perception itself.
Dreher recalled doing something similar after 9/11, when fear and national grief led many—including himself—to accept weak intelligence as proof that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Doubt felt disloyal. The desire for coherence overrode the need for evidence.

He seems to imply anti vaxers lucked out due to governmental/institutional mistrust. Scott succumbed to fear, the cult of vaccination and the inability assess risk/benefit. He could probably benefit from fasting and drugs/supplements that inhibit the cellular uptake of glutamine. Maybe he should try some ivermectin. Oh, the irony.

Reading that document, there is a correlation between getting the vax and working in professional and other higher paying jobs. It is as if the most easily led are the people who gain the most from the current system. Those who have less buy-in to the system are less easily led but also have more menial jobs. In summary, if you are eager to please, then you will succeed in this world. If you are eager to do the right thing then you will not be held in high regard, ever. Sadly the difference in vax rates, between high earners and low earners, are not as high as you would hope.
