“..we are now clear what this US extradition case against Assange is all about. This prosecution of Assange and the detainment of Manning are assaults on our conscience.”

    • The Fight to Defend the Conscience of America (Hayase)

I’d agree with that; but we’re losing badly…

Xi can’t afford to lose face.

    • Trump Says 10% China Tariff Rising To 25% On Friday (ZH)

The art of the deal? Really?
BRI will render the U.S. as near useless…

Bye bye Bernie, we hardly knew ya.

Indeed, and do not want to know him.
The best will be attacked, relentlessly, viciously, with lies, fake news, and many other propaganda tools we never heard of.
Gabbard is the best equipped to deal with this; but, she’s too good; and a Hindu.
Somehow, somewhere this will become an issue and every dirty trick will be used against any candidate against the deep state…

Great Madison quote; thanks for that…

    James Ensor The intrigue 1890

Haven’t commented on the art in a long time; The Intrigue is indeed intriguing.
Is it the artist seeing through, to the real faces of those around him?

Is it the artist seeing through, to the real faces of those around him?

I should really read up on James Sidney Edouard, Baron Ensor, who lived his whole life in Ostend on the Belgian North Sea coast. I do know this work is very typical of his style.

I decided to click the painting; interesting results:

Ensor (1860-1949) is an oddity. He was born in Ostend, a windswept seaside ‘resort’ on the coast of Belgium in 1860 and chose to spend his whole life there. His parents kept a modest curiosity shop which made its money during the short summer tourist season, and the guide tells us that, once a year, Ostend had a colourful Mardi Gras carnival, where everyone wore masks. It is easy enough to make the connection between Ensor growing up among bizarre artefacts, experiencing this annual jamboree, and what was to become his trademark depiction of grotesquely distorted people wearing carnival masks…

    Answers my question quite satisfactorally…

“Bolton and Pompeo, Rachel Maddow’s Latest Resistance Heroes (ZH)”

Pretty hard to watch the complete depravity of a beacon of the left, once anti-war, sleeping with the lowest Neocons for 50c in a burned-out crack house.

““The Russians must get out,” Pompeo said”

Because like Syria, the Russians and Cubans are INVITED, LEGAL guests and allies and the U.S. is…what’s the correct legal term here? Oh yeah, illegal invaders and war criminals.

“To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.” –British judge Norman Birkett, Nuremberg Trials.

Oh and P.S., specifically attacking civilians by cutting off their food and power.

“US Deploying Carrier, Bombers To Middle East To ‘Deter Iran’ (R.)”

I know, right? We almost never have carrier fleets in the Persian Gulf. Just always since 1910.

“Engineers Say Boeing Pushed To Limit 737 MAX Safety Testing (ST)”

No, they went over the limit. Clearly.

“”Obama gets an “A+” for bombing #Libya to smithereens and turning what was once Africa’s most prosperous country into a balkanized, failed state now ruled by jihadists who sell Black Africans in open air slave markets.”

Sadly, there’s so much there, it can’t be covered. 5,000 intentional civilian drone deaths, including citizens, being #1 in prosecuting whistleblowers (a real challenge), 1st to wiretap and apparently entrap opposing candidates using the secret state, running guns to the deadly Zeta drug cartels, handing $23Trillion to Wall Street, not prosecuting 100,000 felony mortgage frauds while the black community had their houses repossessed, attempting WWIII in Syria and Ukraine, and so much more! Go Bernie! That’s way better than sending 100 showboat missiles into an empty Syrian airbase.

““I think a farmer that produces the food we eat may be almost as important” Almost?? “rural America have nothing to be ashamed about” Wait: they’re ashamed? Why would they be ashamed? Talk about damning by faint praise, and he’s from a semi-rural farm state. No wonder a NYC billionaire was able to win these guys, if this is the competition.

    Example:
    https://mobile.twitter.com/phillipdampier/status/1122919168603566080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1122919168603566080&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bobsblitz.com%2F2019%2F04%2Fvideo-simpsons-kill-upstate-new-york.html

    (Simpsons upstate clip from Fox)

So the total destruction of Flyoverland to Chernobyl levels? People on opioids, cities caving in like Omegaman, factories closed down, water unsafe to drink? Hilarious, I know. And they wonder why these people voted Trump. Still waiting for Harris to care about Michigan’s water. Note upstate, like MI, WI, PA, MA, and several of the other obliterated states, are Democratic. So they are helping their people how? They own most majors cities, which are the best, how? Bonus question: is the opposite true?

Continuing: “proposing greater government involvement in setting price controls and managing supply and demand” So he’s going to stop subsidies by increasing subsidies and stop screwing up what the government’s price controls have done to farms (handing it to ADM lobbyists, ‘natch) by having them set MORE price controls and control MORE things? And the ADM lobbyists won’t channel this new Federal power to themselves why? 100 years of doing the same thing, destroying every family farm coast to coast, having it fail 100% of the time, and still no learn. Mongo pawn in game of life.

“Climate Change and the Nobel Prize in Economics (Steve Keen)”

Goes to show there are all kinds of opinions. And I thought the science was settled. In one way he’s right though: culture and biodiversity booms in warm eons and falls in cold ones. Wouldn’t pursue it though.

    “The End of Ice (IC)”

Manhattan was supposed to be underwater and there was no snow on earth by now. Instead seas haven’t risen and inch and we have the coldest winters in 100 years all over, 1m of snow in Saudi Arabia, glaciers tenuously rebuilding, and looks like more to come. Still waiting. So far plenty of ice on the whole continent down the Charleston, L.A., and Mexico, and in Europe from London down to Spain and across to Morocco and into the Sahara.

“War is the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other” –Madison

Golly, that almost sounds like the judge at Nuremberg, don’t it? It’s almost like those guys knew something and we don’t have to re-learn it every generation. Nah, let’s take down their statues and cut them out of the history books.

The elites are on a holiday.
A costume party by the elites.
(It looks like the inmates have escaped their confinements)

Ostend had a colourful Mardi Gras carnival, where everyone wore masks.

Yeah, I sort of knew that much. Like Venice

    #47196

Don’t know that it was the elites, zero, could be more the carnival very popular in that part of the world, southern Holland too, and that was very much for the poor

    M.A.S.H. Mueller Agreement Statement Honorarium.
Radar to Colonel Mueller: Here you go Sir, you need to sign this.
    Mueller: What is it?
Radar: It’s just a letter to the Commanding A.G. regarding the teams feelings about how the media is misrepresenting all
    of our hard work.
    Mueller: Oh, okay!
General Barr: Hey Bob, what’s with the letter?
Colonel Mueller: Oh, it’s nothing Bill. Just some of the team are pissed off at the media.
Mueller to Radar: What was with that letter to General Barr? I didn’t mean any of that!
Radar to Mueller: Well you must have Sir, you signed it.
