ParticipantArchdruid today:
“To most people, it seemed obvious that the only thing that could derail the mighty onward march of progress was a cataclysm big and sudden enough to overwhelm to overwhelm humanity all at once. It all seemed so straightforward! The fact remains, of course, that both sides were wrong, and not just a little bit wrong, either: completely, abjectly, embarrassingly wrong.
Each of the two sides, to be a little more precise, looked at only half the facts.”
That’s all I keep saying. Or for example, that the facts themselves are wrong, or their own argument self-contradictory. But the above is the most generous.

Yup. Let’s see what happens. As above the real war is Economic, because the real war is 5GW. It’s about what people BELIEVE. I mean, clearly, Because Reality has no effect on them. Japanese Bond markets are the economic war, because they deliver “Reality” down to the guy-at-home. In Europe or here. So crashing the markets under “The People’s Congressional Republic” will deliver that. The War is Economic.
Yeah, I know it shouldn’t be. It’s not for online trolls and data wonks like all of us, but it is.
Looking at election talk: the most interesting thing is they’re not talking about fraud. Which they could, there is fraud, and it would be the natural go-to. But that is not in “The Narrative” of the Right, or not in any normal way we’re accustomed to it. So apparently that is the approach or strategy now. Okay then. And Sure I’d expect them to take names and numbers, but now is when you’d float outlier suspicious cases like Maricopa, etc. Don’t really see it.
Although I’ve been pointing out elections are frauds since at least 2000 – we had a fraud recount, remember? Then installed machines everyone knew were child’s play to hack? One thing that most probably isn’t fraud or haven’t bothered to fraud is WHO voted, age, location, category, etc. So we can look at that maybe and see things. First takes appear the Zoomerwaffen flipped to protest, but I’m still looking at these things.

The Left starts wars, the Right ends them. As we see in Europe right now. Or Palestinians, by their flags. No snappy aphorism on that one. Maybe one for “Palestinians always lose”? Not that I’m happy about it. It’s terrible but true.
“The Democrats cheer that and are so braindead they have no idea that is going to create food shortages, supply chain disruption, and send prices higher.” –Armstrong
Maybe so. But that also means it’s not Trump is it? Who is drilling and freeing up the food system nationwide, eg meat processors.

ParticipantZionists Voted Out Of Texas https://drjohnsblog.substack.com/p/zionists-voted-out-of-texas
It has been 40 years since Texas voted in Democrats instead of Republicans, but Republicans taking Texans for granted has failed across the board this time, based upon rejection of war against Iran, Israeli genocide of Palestinians, harsh immigration policies and high inflation. In Texas there has been very strong support for Israel, and harsh repression of speech in favor of Palestinian rights, from the governor down and also in the houses of congress. That will change in January. I did not vote for anybody who supported the zionist project or had supported vaccine mandates, which excluded most Republicans and Democrats, but I did vote for Democrat Clayton Tucker for Agriculture Commissioner, and he won, also supported by the long time Republican Ag. Commissioner who got primaried this spring. Clayton, an actual farmer, supports growing hemp in Texas.
Clayton Tucker poised to become first Democratic agriculture commissioner in nearly 40 years
Tucker, who grew up on the edge of the Texas Hill Country and works on his family’s ranch, made data centers a focus on the campaign trail. While the agriculture commissioner does not have any say in data center operations, Tucker vowed to work with lawmakers to reduce the negative effects on land, water and energy, and agricultural production. He also wants to ensure public school lunches are made and processed in Texas without harsh chemicals or dyes, make industrial hemp available for farmers to grow and bust agricultural monopolies, such as Tyson Foods and John Deere…
Throughout the race, Tucker and Sheets traded barbs. They challenged each other’s eligibility and agricultural experience. Just days before early voting began, attorneys working on Tucker’s behalf sent a letter to the state Republican Party claiming that Sheets was ineligible and demanded he be removed from the ballot. To be eligible, a commissioner must have either been engaged in an agricultural business, worked at a state or federal agency in a role related to agriculture, have owned or operated a farm, or have been a member of an agricultural association, such as the Texas Agricultural Council. https://www.texastribune.org/2026/11/03/texas-clayton-tucker-nate-sheets-agriculture-commissioner-elections-2026/Democrats seize power in Texas, ending decades of GOP dominance – Texas’ governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and every other statewide candidate fell, upending the state’s political power structure in one night. https://www.texastribune.org/2026/11/04/texas-democrats-blue-wave-no-spaces-short/

ParticipantMike Mihajlovic at Black Mtn. Analysis thoroughly explains nuclear bunker-buster bombs, defenses & delivery: When Stealth Meets the Bomb: Inside the US-Israel Nuclear Strike Scenario on Iran’s Deep Bunkers [i] Conventional physics has its limits. As Iran buries its nuclear program deeper, the US and Israel face a terrifying calculus: the tactical nuclear threshold
Key Takeaways:
The Physics Problem: Conventional bunker busters have a hard limit. The US B61-12 tactical nuke is the only (theoretically) guaranteed way to collapse the deepest Iranian facilities.
The Stealth Myth: B-2s and F-35s are (as per the overwhelming marketing mechanism ever present in Western media) “invisible” (to some degree) to fire-control radars, but not to early-warning networks. Iran’s VHF and Over-The-Horizon radars can see them coming.
The Geopolitical Shadow: Iran doesn’t fight alone. Russian and Chinese satellite networks provide strategic warning, ensuring the US and Israel cannot achieve total surprise.
The Retaliation: If the nuclear threshold is crossed, Iran’s response will not be symmetrical. It will be a massive, multi-front regional war…
..From the Iranian perspective, survival is victory…
..The offensive capabilities of the US B-2 Spirit and the B61-12 provide a theoretical means to destroy the deepest subterranean facilities, bypassing the limitations of conventional physics. However, this offensive power is not exercised in a vacuum.
Iran’s layered early warning network, combined with the geopolitical shadow of Russian and Chinese intelligence, ensures that the US and Israeli strike packages cannot achieve total strategic surprise. The transparent nature of the modern battlefield gives Tehran the warning necessary to disperse its most critical assets and prepare its formidable retaliatory forces.
Ultimately, the Iranian counter-strategy relies on a grim calculus: they may not be able to shoot down a B-2 or stop a B61-12, but they can ensure that the cost of the strike is unacceptably high. Through massive ballistic missile retaliation, the activation of a multi-front proxy war, and the geopolitical weaponization of the nuclear taboo, Iran seeks to deter the US and Israel from crossing the ultimate threshold.
In this high-stakes game of chicken, the tactical nuclear weapon is not just a physical tool of destruction; it is the ultimate catalyst for regional and potentially global escalation. The true defense for Iran lies not in stopping the bomb, but in ensuring the strategic cost of dropping it remains forever prohibitive.

Democrats won both chambers of Congress overnight. They flipped Senate seats in Texas, Kansas, Ohio, Iowa and both Carolinas, and three in four voters called the Iran war a major factor in their vote.
Nasdaq futures fell 2% on fears for the data-center buildout, then erased the whole loss, while gold and silver rose 3-4%. Much else continued but got worse: the IRGC claims four more tankers mined and a 56th Reaper shot down, Trump is already talking about a “heavy hit”, and the scandal over a detention house near Kyiv has reached the SBU’s senior officers.
Strike risk returns once the vote is over. Hours after losing Congress, Trump told Fox that “a lot of people would like to do the heavy hit” (shanaka86) and that “we have not yet finished the mission” (HormuzLetter via KingKong9888). To Politico: “if we see any opportunity… we’re going to do it” (Osinttechnical). The NYT reports CENTCOM has strike plans ready “as soon as tomorrow” but not yet authorized (KobeissiLetter). Israeli hospitals are turning underground car parks into ERs, the first such conversion since Feb 28 (HormuzLetter)…
..Yemen’s war crosses onto Saudi soil. Houthi forces have mounted ground raids across the border (zerohedge), reportedly taking Saudi border posts and a US-made Oshkosh M-ATV (Hojily via GEROMAN). Riyadh issued an early-warning alert after ballistic missile launches from Yemen (MenchOsint)… ..Russia-Ukraine: Kyiv detention-house scandal reaches the SBU as NABU raids a general who threatened to shoot; 400+ drones on the grid, Kyiv’s water cut
Ground truth first – CNN: dozens were killed when Russia dropped at least nine bombs on a school building in southeastern Ukraine where people had taken shelter (CNN). A pro-Russian account also counts nine bombs (FAB-3000s) on what it calls a “humanitarian FOB” in Zaporizhzhia, with 31+ dead (SU_57R). They give the same bomb count but describe the building differently.
In the 24 hours after the big missile attack, over 400 Geran drones plus S8000 cruise missiles hit energy and rail targets, with the focus shifting back to Kyiv and to Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts (AMK_Mapping_). MilitarySummary claims 2,000+ drones and 100 missiles since the start of November (via GEROMAN).
Key Kyiv water utility sites were cut off from power and water supply was suspended (MilitarySummary via GEROMAN), and the city was dark overnight (MilitarySummary). DTEK says the Dniprovska thermal plant and others stopped operating (squatsons). Ukraine has lost 600+ locomotives in the war, almost half of them this year (Kyiv Independent via BrianJBerletic).
The detention house: each side’s version – The 14-year-old, speaking from hospital, says he was knocked off a fence with a shovel, beaten by about ten masked men, had his clothes cut off with knives while they filmed, and was interrogated until he couldn’t see or hear (DD_Geopolitics, HavryshkoMarta, MartinKuban).
National Guard commander Pivenko’s version: soldiers “helped” the boy, “even gave him a blanket”, and he looked frightened because he “fell from a tree” (via DragaMariba).
The woman who raised the alarm has been arrested and added to the Myrotvorets blacklist as a “professional provocateur” (HavryshkoMarta, Camille Moscow via GEROMAN). The men in balaclavas have not been named.
Budanov, Zelensky’s chief of staff, said “there are many such buildings” (Lord Bebo). Soldiers interviewed by Strana describe makeshift punishment cells (“pits”) as systemic since forced street conscription took off in 2023 (HavryshkoMarta).
Then it reached the SBU – NABU searched the property of SBU Major General Serhiy Duka, who threatened detectives with firearms; SBU special forces showed up at the scene (AMK_Mapping_). Duka helped organise the SBU’s July 2025 raids on NABU staff (GudadzeLevan). A second target was Col. Anton Kravchuk, head of SBU internal security (MilitarySummary). Panchenko claims 100+ searches across the SBU, police and prosecutor’s office, aimed at a group covering for scam call centers (via GEROMAN).
Zelensky’s former spokeswoman Iuliia Mendel has been charged with treason over her public statements, including an interview with Tucker Carlson (aaronjmate).
Front and talks – A Russian-side update: heavy fighting on Orikhiv’s southern outskirts and Omelnyk taken (WarHunter2222). Russians are advancing toward Sviatohorivka near Dobropillia, and Ukrainians around Zarichne near Lyman (royy_tweets). Russia’s net gain in October was only 7 km², against 177 in September, per a Russian Telegram channel’s count. Ukraine’s Lyman counteroffensive took back 149 km².
The first trilateral round is set for Abu Dhabi on 10-11 November (Thorkill65 via GEROMAN).
Melania Trump hosts Russian and Ukrainian representatives at the White House on 5 November (MELANIATRUMP).
Exercise Koalicja, the first major exercise of the UK-France-led Multinational Force-Ukraine, is starting in Poland (DefenceHQ). ParticipantMexico, the Final Frontier of the Global War on Cash
As we reported in March, Sheinbaum is on a mission to reduce cash use in Mexico in the shortest possible window of time, arguing that it will help to make life easier for Mexican citizens and businesses while helping to increase government revenues:
Speaking at the recent 89th Banking Convention in Cancún, on March 19, she unveiled plans to eliminate the use of cash in key strategic sectors, beginning with gas stations and toll booths.
“Our goal this year is to make digital payments for gasoline and tolls mandatory,” the president said. “This will allow us to move forward with the digitization of the country through other schemes.”
Shienbaum praised recent improvements to the so-called “CoDi” system which can now be accessed through cell phones with zero commissions. CoDi (Cobro Digital) is a free, real-time digital payment platform developed by the Bank of Mexico, or Banxico, that has drawn comparisons with Pix, Brazil’s hugely popular instant payments system that has managed to enrage (and terrify) both Wall Street and Silicon Valley, and by extension, Donald Trump…
Needless to say, eliminating cash payments from gas stations and toll booths in the next nine months is a tall order for a country where cash is used for roughly 80% of all transactions, making it arguably the G20’s most cash-dependent economy. Governments in Mexico have been trying to replace cash with digital payment alternatives for over a decade, to little avail.
But Sheinbaum is willing to take more extreme measures than any of her predecessors, and has entrusted one of her closest advisers, José Antonio Peña Merino, to co-ordinate the plan for mass adoption of digital payments. In a recent exchange with a journalist, Sheinbaum said the ultimate goal is the complete elimination of cash as a means of fraud prevention, as if cash were the main driver of fraud. https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2026/11/mexico-the-final-frontier-of-the-global-war-on-cash.htmlPoland’s Rule of Law Crisis Echoes Increasingly Undemocratic EU: Is Standoff in Preparation for Something Bigger? https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2026/11/polands-rule-of-law-crisis-echoes-increasingly-undemocratic-eu.html
Disputed Polish constitutional court holds first meeting after takeover by government-backed judgesThe group of eight government-backed judges who last week took control of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal (TK) have held a meeting at which they made a number of key decisions, including moving forward with disciplinary proceedings against the court’s chief justice, Bogdan Święczkowski.
However, the situation is mired in controversy and uncertainty. Święczkowski and the opposition-aligned president, Karol Nawrocki, do not recognise the judges who are now claiming control of the court, describing their actions as a “coup d’état”.
Meanwhile, there are doubts as to whether today’s general assembly even had a valid quorum, given that the chief justice and six other judges appointed under the former government did not attend.
The meeting was called by Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, who on Friday declared that Święczkowski and the deputy chief justice, Bartłomiej Sochański, had been suspended for failing to fulfil their duties. Korwin-Piotrowska said that she herself, as the longest-serving judge on the court, was taking control.
Large numbers of riot police were deployed outside the court, holding back protesters, including opposition politicians, and preventing Święczkowski and Sochański from entering the court. However, Nawrocki himself did enter the premises, where he clashed physically and verbally with Korwin-Piotrowska.
For a general assembly of the TK to be valid, two thirds of the court’s judges need to be present. Normally, given that the tribunal has 15 positions, that would mean at least 10 judges being present.
However, only eight judges attended today’s meeting. They were all appointed to the TK by the government’s parliamentary majority this year. But Nawrocki has refused to swear in five of them, meaning that their legal status has become disputed. https://notesfrompoland.com/2026/11/03/disputed-polish-constitutional-court-holds-first-meeting-after-takeover-by-government-backed-judges/ Larry Johnson, Poland Is the Symptom and Europe Is the Patient.
Here is the irony I find most delicious. Washington and Brussels spent years cheering Polish nationalism when it was pointed at Moscow. Poland’s hostility to Russia was the alliance’s favorite asset. Point the same nationalism at Brussels and it suddenly becomes a threat to democracy requiring riot police. Polish patriotism, it turns out, is a weapon to be aimed, not a conviction to be respected. Poles should notice that the people eager to dismantle Russia’s sense of nationhood are the same people dismantling theirs. https://sonar21.com/poland-is-the-symptom-and-europe-is-the-patient/ Poland’s police chief responds to his own officers: “Everything was legal” After the “Policyjna Solidarność” union warned of collapsing morale and legal doubts over the operation at the Constitutional Court, Police Commander-in-Chief Gen. Marek Boroń has sent a letter to all officers. He opens it by quoting the police oath, “to faithfully serve the Nation,” the same oath opposition MPs had been reminding officers of all weekend. His main points: The police presence at the court on Friday and Saturday was “necessary” to protect people inside and the crowds outside. All police actions were “fully in line with the law.” “Our role is not to assess the functioning of the Tribunal.” “I have never allowed, and will not allow, any of you to be exposed to unlawful liability” for doing their job. On the leaked order putting riot units on full readiness from November 2 to 8, he says it had “nothing to do” with the court. https://x.com/DD_Geopolitics/status/2116892206082429093

In a “how-to” article published on March 9, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) provided a roadmap for how hospitals across the U.S. can vaccinate children under anesthesia for a medical procedure. Children’s Hospital Colorado has vaccinated over 18,000 kids under anesthesia and Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania has vaccinated nearly 2,000, the AAP wrote. https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/18000-kids-vaccinated-under-anesthesia-colorado-hospital-aap-suggests-other-hospitals-do-the-same/ This was previously the vaccine that caused the wost side effects: Backed by AAP, West Virginia Proposal Would Allow Dental Hygienists to Give HPV Vaccine to 9-Year-Olds

“concentration camps in Eastern Europe.Yes, but heck, rape camps throughout in Western Europe. 20 years, don’t know how long I can point. The Prime Minister was running them personally, yada ya. 14 year old girls are being arrested for fighting them off with axes.
“the bulk of the American citizenry, or non-citizenry, no longer possesses the morals or the knowledge required to keep a free, representative republic from collapsing into slothfulness, envy, chaos, and tyranny.”
Maybe. So goes the John Adams quote. But then what? And the other option: you bring out the military and arrest in military court because they’ve proven the case that the Federal Court system doesn’t work either. They will impeach a cease-and-desist if you trim the verge on a golf course, while letting then thousand murderers go free (both of these are true and not made up for dramatic effect).
I can tell you what they WANT to do. Having been stalled by ONE bad move – putting all power in the executive, then losing to the Pentagon and White Hats by Hillary’s election – they now can’t have Russian Rev 2.0 where Millenials are CLEARLY the Bolsheviks. I mean, c’mon. They totally, entirely are. But they’re too old and lost them in the weeds. So now they need to engineer the Zoomers.
If we can’t throw Left, we’ll throw Right. Which is the Wiemar Plan: they had created the Communists who were beating people in the street, and people were right sick of it, and so voted in….That’s right the OTHER communists, the National SOCIALIST Worker’s Party. But that isn’t the point here. The point is that the Nazis represented ORDER. Everyone knew Germany was totally screwed up, with blue-haired cross-dressers in Jazz clubs sleeping around and doing heroin with (Black) Jazz musicians. …And that the root cause was finance and banking.
Cue “Lo! Then a Miracle Happened!” where a day after 9am on Oct 8, you could be antisemitic AF, everywhere in the news, the (Jewish) party goes antisemitic overnight. Huh??? And I’m supposed to believe this is organic???
What was Germany doing then? Knock out Antifa black block, go Kinder, Küche, Kirche, and restore ORDER, and POWER, and, you know, like Pride and Employment to what had been the 1925 equivalent of OnlyFans girls. And they went along with it. Why not? It was just some young, New Age Party, with the New Age symbol from India on their flag, same as a Celtic Tree or something. It was not “Nazi” then: WE call it Nazi, because WE know what happened after. They did not, and there were almost no signs at first. WE point to what signs exist now, again, only because WE know how the play ended. At the time it was not all that strange or different, and it was populated by good, hard-working, well-meaning people.
So the Zoomer Men now – the new army you need to capture – has to want Order. To stop the utter disgust at Only Fans, at women reducing themselves, at men having no honor, at government, at weakness, all of those things. And they are GOOD impulses.
…And then hijack them for raw evil, of course. By the same insiders and social engineers, of course. And just as they did in Nazi Germany, of course.
So that’s the New Plan. …And to tell you the truth I’m pretty sick of it, and sick of talking about it. “Time is just one damn thing after another” – Physicists. I don’t know what to do if idiots just keep falling for the most idiotic, obvious, and openly evil stuff all the time. Don’t. Just don’t. And that means, perhaps we need order, but not if it’s centralized at all, and not if it’s against our own principles – in Germany, for example – but especially here in the United States where they bothered to write a lot of detailed documents about that sort of thing. Just do the thing. It was all written down. It worked pretty okay. So read and execute program.
Anyway, that’s what they’re up to now, and appears to have affected the election as well.
“no longer possesses the morals or the knowledge required to keep a free, representative republic from collapsing into slothfulness, envy, chaos, and tyranny.”
Really? But is it better to install a strongman who will MAKE you stop being slothful, weak, chaotic? Or is that the same tyranny and we can only do it from within?
This is the same question as social programs vs charity. One will shoot you in the face and MAKE you donate to charity, to government welfare, Until the taxbase is bled white and collapses. The other asks. It’s not “Charity” or caring at all if it starts with violence, for better or worse.
“But, gosh, Eric, aren’t you saying you’re O.K. with the very attitudes and behavior you decry in leftist tyrants?”
That is, precisely Zoomerwaffen. That we can’t get a fair shake, so we have to use every evil tactic the other side uses or else be exterminated. Okay, I want you to think about what you’re saying here. Up til that point you can still back out.
“We don’t have time to process the Islamic riots across France before turning our attention to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s attempted judicial coup d’état.”
As Benton said. This is intentional – we know they had “Panic Level: Orange” for no damn reason under W Bush, for example. To alarm people in a state of frenzy and keep them from thinking like humans. Whyyyy does this work??? Ugh! But at some point, like here, events are unfolding themselves, like riding the Tiger. They pulled the dominoes and now they go off with increasing game-play like “Go”.
Now they don’t WANT it to calm and normal people to regain their senses – and thereby NOT kill each other for no reason – but the speed takes it out of their control as well. And I want to point out that Trump, Iran, Election, all this, are all being run on supercomputers. So they’re seeing things we wouldn’t see, with single-effect thinking. …And that doesn’t make them right either, because you can’t back-test them through history. I’m just saying choices that look strange WERE run through the Pentagon’s 7 Dwarfs or something. It exists. They constantly talk like Trump looks up from “Shark Week” and throws a dart. No. That’s not happening. But that doesn’t make it good, just different.
“When a propaganda system works well, you don’t notice how all the various agents have clear conflicts of interest. You don’t stop to ask why the deputy director at the FBI would be working with The Post to take down a sitting president”
As I say every day the CIA is on Fox News, when we know not only are they an enemy of the President, but an enemy of life on earth. And MI6 behind them. Clear conflicts of interest, where never the Truth was told by them. Whatever Truth we may find, the only sure thing is, it won’t be found from them.
Next problem: you ALSO can’t operate when NO ONE is trusted. Then you also return to “Power = Truth”, I-Am-God realities. Society can only function on Trust. Which is prediction. That people keep their word. No one trusted – like the government just shuts and steals your Steel Plant one day – and everyone stops working instantly. Not JUST that things will be stolen — although that’s bad – but mostly that they can’t predict. There is no Trust, planning, cooperation. Complex society collapses. And thus Evil wins.
Why? We, You, didn’t Keep Your Word. Tell the Truth. Expel and discredit the Liars. Have Civil discourse with 10,000 year old guest and host rules. The simplest things. Just be normal.
“The people who have long controlled public opinion realize that they have lost their greatest weapon: legitimacy. Illegitimate systems are unsustainable.”
Not necessarily. They WANT the system illegitimate, because they WANT it unsustainable. They WANT it to break so you’ll beg for them to fix it. As in “Three World Wars” to Social, religious, personal, economic, exhaustion. And you’ll beg for the Morningstar to bring Light again, accept him as your God.
“• Vance’s 2028 Odds Tumble After Midterm Bloodbath (ZH)Point of them not talking fraud: this will make a few things Election non-starters now. To continue to reduce Israel, and that America doesn’t have wars. Both are a strong positive.
“A new poll by The Economist/YouGov is consistent with other polls showing rising support among Democrats for socialism. More Democrats (38%) prefer socialism to capitalism (25%).
This goes back to Millennial vs Zoomer (who are not yet stamped) as Xers won’t live forever either. Zoomers may be things, but they are not Capitalists as such. No living generation has seen Capitalism in practice now, and most not since 1971 and the intentional and voluntary liquidation. So how would you sell them on it?
Again, the Name-Stealers. They CALL our system Capitalism. Which if it ever was it’s only 5% that now. Always just redefine words, ie LIE until you get what you want. Lying is the side of the Angels! …The fallen angels.
“the CIA is still “running, if the New York Times is to be believed, 12 secret bases inside of Ukraine,”
Totally believe it. But now what? And how many of them are on Team America and how many on Team Rogue? What would those words even mean?
“Nearly a Third of EU Budget goes to Farm Subsidies”
Yes, and Billions of that is to farms in AFRICA, for example. I remember UK talking about it. Food shortages and paving in England, while handing free money to non-English farmers abroad…while killing cows and closing farms by force of law. And in Holland, etc too of course. If it WERE just for food it might make sense, considering. Clearly it is not, if not the direct opposite.

They speak his name like a rich brat invoking his father: my daddy will fix this, my daddy will take care of that. The thought of him seems to inspire a deep sensation of security. He has the experience and expertise we need, said one. I replied, “maybe, but will he act in our interests?” The Boomer just looked at me.Scotlyn says:

“We’ve already seen the consequences: a series of agreements have been made, and then immediately broken by independent actors on the Iranian side.”I will say that this specific allegation strikes me as oddly one-sided, given the clear record whereby on three occasions in 2026 alone, the US directly attacked Iran *while* negotiations were ongoing. and/or in direct contradiction to terms it had itself agreed upon.
The first February 28th attack which took out the Ayatollah, several members of his family, and (incidentally) large numbers of schoolgirls at a school located near an Iranian military base, took place just two days after a round of talks in Geneva, which mediators were hailing as showing “significant progress” toward a nuclear deal.
Then, in May 26, the US conducted “self-defense strikes” on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz *while* Iranian and Qatari negotiators were actually sitting down in Doha for another round of peace talks.
And again July 8th, the US, having agreed under the famous Memorandum of Understanding, that Iran “will make arrangements using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels”, suddenly struck over 80 Iranian targets – purportedly in “retaliation” for Iranian enforcement of the safe passage arrangements it had put in place for the 60 day period envisaged in that Memorandum. While it may be true that “Iran is… a feudal society dressed up in nation-state drag, and one consequence is that there’s no one who can force the competing power centers in Iran to abide by the terms of a peace agreement”… this appears to be balanced by the fact that “Trump’s people are having to fight tooth and nail against entrenched bureaucrats committed to a broader imperial project” which also has the effect that there is no one who can force the competing power centers in the US to abide by the terms of a peace agreement, even to the point of respecting the fact that there IS a peace negotiation underway.
Which is to say that this two-step interest in/avoidance of peacemaking may be more complicated than you imply here.”

They hate that Israel rules the world, so they handed the US to the globalists. Guess what.Calculate how many globalist (neocon) republicans there are in the house, and the democrats will stop claiming victory in the house races when they reach 290 (veto override).
Count the number of globalist (neocon) republican senators, and you’ll get the number of senate races the democrats still have to claim- until they reach 67. (impeachment and veto threshold.)six seven. Predictive programming, or what.

No Electricity But Lots Of Scandals – Ukraine Is Coming Apart
There seems to be little notice in the media that Ukraine is on the verge of a catastrophe. Its electricity network is on the border of systemic failure. The moral standing of its government within the Ukrainian population is breaking down. While there has been lots of trouble with energy during the last winter the amount of the current disorder is on a different level.
For months now the Russian military has systematically dismantled critical points in the Ukrainian network. Kiev, which once had several combined heat and power plants, can no longer generate any of its needed electricity. Its sole supplies are now coming from far away nuclear power stations and are reaching the capitol through a few major switching station.

“It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future.” (attributed to Yogi Berra)
————-
The shape of it
The list runs along a spectrum. Sections 1 to 3 are about why prediction fails, section 4 is
the machinery behind that failure, section 5 shows where stability and forecastability
survive, section 6 covers what happens at the breaking points, and sections 7 and 8 cover
how we try to look ahead and what limits us
—————
1. Sensitivity and small causes, big effects
Butterfly effect: tiny differences in initial conditions can produce wildly different
outcomes (Lorenz).
Sensitive dependence on initial conditions: the formal term for the same idea.
Lyapunov exponent / Lyapunov time: how fast nearby trajectories diverge, which sets
how far ahead you can forecast.
Predictability horizon: the point past which forecasts lose value.
For want of a nail: a trivial lack causes a large loss.
Straw that broke the camel’s back: the last small addition triggers collapse.
Snowball effect / runaway feedback: a small start that grows by compounding.
Tipping point (Gladwell): a threshold at which small changes cause a large shift.
2. Cascades and contagion
Domino effect: one failure triggers the next in a chain.
Cascading failure: failures spreading through networks (grids, finance, supply
chains).
Contagion / systemic risk: failure spreading between linked institutions or markets.
Information cascades / herd behavior: people copy others and ignore their own
information.
Bank run / self-fulfilling prophecy (Merton): a belief changes behavior and makes
itself true.
Small-world networks (Watts–Strogatz): network structure that speeds spread.
Scale-free networks (Barabási): hubs make systems robust to random failure but
fragile to targeted failure.
Expressions and Theories for Unpredictability, Cascades, and Forecasting
3. Rare, extreme, or surprising events
Black swan (Taleb): rare, high-impact events that look “explainable” in hindsight.
Gray rhino (Wucker): obvious, probable threats that get ignored.
Dragon kings (Sornette): extreme outliers produced by distinct mechanisms.
Fat tails / heavy-tailed distributions / power laws: extremes far more common than a
bell curve predicts.
Unknown unknowns (Rumsfeld): risks we don’t know we don’t know.
Wild cards / weak signals (futures studies): low-probability events or early hints of
change.
Ludic fallacy (Taleb): mistaking tidy models for the messy real world.
Turkey problem (Russell/Taleb): past stability misleads you right before a shock.
4. Complexity and complex systems
Complex adaptive systems (Santa Fe Institute): many interacting agents that adapt.
Emergence: system-level patterns not present in the parts.
Self-organized criticality (Bak): systems drift to a critical state where avalanches of
any size occur (sandpile model).
Edge of chaos (Kauffman, Langton): the balance between order and disorder.
Phase transitions: sudden qualitative shifts, like water freezing.
Nonlinearity: output not proportional to input.
Feedback loops (positive and negative): reinforcing or stabilizing dynamics.
Path dependence / lock-in: history constrains what can happen next.
Attractors / strange attractors: states a system tends toward, including chaotic ones.
Bifurcation / catastrophe theory (Thom): abrupt jumps as a parameter changes
smoothly.
Fractals and self-similarity (Mandelbrot): the same structure at every scale.
Computational irreducibility (Wolfram): some systems can’t be shortcut and must be
run to be known.
5. Stable structures within chaos
Solitons / solitary waves: self-reinforcing waves that keep their shape and speed
because dispersion and nonlinearity balance. They pass through each other intact.
Expressions and Theories for Unpredictability, Cascades, and Forecasting
Integrable systems (KdV, nonlinear Schrödinger, sine-Gordon): exactly solvable
equations, islands of forecastability in a sea of chaos.
Breathers: localized waves that oscillate in place.
Rogue waves: extreme waves, the dangerous flip side, modeled with some of the
same equations.
Limit cycles: stable repeating oscillations.
Dissipative structures (Prigogine): order sustained by energy flow far from
equilibrium.
Synchronization (Kuramoto model): oscillators spontaneously locking together.
Turing patterns: spots and stripes emerging from simple reaction-diffusion rules.
Autopoiesis (Maturana, Varela): systems that produce and maintain themselves.
Caveat: these are predictable only under near-ideal conditions. Noise, friction, and
strong perturbation break them down.
6. Cliffs, collapse, and resilience
Cliff effect / fiscal cliff: a sudden drop at a threshold.
Critical slowing down: an early warning signal, as recovery from shocks takes longer
near a tipping point.
Regime shift / critical transition (Scheffer): abrupt ecological or climate state
changes.
Resilience and panarchy (Holling): adaptive cycles of growth, collapse, and renewal.
Collapse theories (Tainter, Diamond): why societies fail.
Normal accidents (Perrow): tightly coupled, complex systems will eventually fail.
Swiss cheese model (Reason): accidents happen when holes in layered defenses
align.
Fragility and antifragility (Taleb): systems that break, hold, or improve under stress.
7. Trends and forecasting methods
Trend extrapolation: extend the past line forward.
Regression to the mean: extremes tend to be followed by more typical values.
Business cycles / Kondratiev waves / cliodynamics (Turchin): claimed long-run
historical rhythms.
Expressions and Theories for Unpredictability, Cascades, and Forecasting
Moore’s law, S-curves, adoption curves: growth patterns for technology.
Scenario planning (Shell, Herman Kahn): explore several futures rather than predict
one.
Delphi method: structured expert consensus.
Superforecasting (Tetlock): probabilistic forecasting with calibrated updating.
Bayesian updating / prediction markets: revise beliefs as evidence arrives.
Ensemble forecasting: run many slightly varied simulations to estimate the spread of
outcomes.
Agent-based modeling / Monte Carlo simulation: simulate many agents or random
draws.
System dynamics (Forrester, Limits to Growth): stocks, flows, and feedback models.
Foresight / horizon scanning / backcasting: look ahead, or work backward from a goal.
Pre-mortem (Klein): imagine the plan failed and work out why.
8. Hidden variables and the limits of knowing
Hidden variables / confounders / latent variables: unseen factors driving outcomes.
Omitted variable bias: leaving one out skews the conclusion.
Observer effect / Heisenberg uncertainty: measurement changes or limits what is
known.
Reflexivity (Soros): forecasts and beliefs feed back into the thing forecast.
Goodhart’s law / Lucas critique: measures or models used for control stop working.
Campbell’s law: the more a metric drives decisions, the more it distorts.
Law of unintended consequences (Merton): actions have unforeseen effects.
Bounded rationality (Simon): limited information and cognition constrain prediction.
Knightian uncertainty: uncertainty that can’t be assigned probabilities, as distinct
from risk.
Hindsight bias / narrative fallacy / overconfidence: why we think we saw it coming.
Gödel/Turing-style limits: some questions are provably undecidable.
Laplace’s demon: the ideal predictor that chaos and quantum theory argue is
impossible.

Expressions and Theories for Unpredictability, Cascades, and Forecasting
9. Proverbs and sayings about prediction
“It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future”: usually attributed to
Yogi Berra, with older, disputed Danish origins.
“The map is not the territory”: Korzybski.
“All models are wrong, but some are useful”: Box.
“Past performance is no guarantee of future results.”
“The best-laid plans of mice and men.”
“Man plans, God laughs.”

ParticipantThe following information is above my pay grade
You have access to all the tools. is there one or more that is proving its accuracy in what it is tracking that gives a advanced notice over other tools. ( in finance/banking and in supply shortage/destruction such as electricity, satellite communications,)
No single tool has proven itself across all of these. The ones with the best evidence are narrow, and the clearest wins are where a physical sensor sits upstream of the event rather than where a statistical model guesses.
## Finance and banking
– **Credit-to-GDP gap (BIS):** This measures how far a country’s debt has outrun its long-run trend. A BIS test across 42 economies from 1970 to 2017 found that no other gap measure beat the baseline version at predicting crises up to three years ahead. The debt service ratio also outperformed other indicators, with the credit gap best at longer horizons and the debt service ratio best at shorter ones. Its weakness is timing: in several cases the gap signaled four, five or even more years before a crisis. That is a vulnerability gauge, not a countdown. Combining it with property prices improves performance.
– **Yield curve inversion:** Inversions have preceded every US recession since the 1960s. No one fully understands why it works so well. The last big test was awkward. The curve inverted in November 2022, and 14 months later there was still no recession, so some argue it has weakened. Those sources are from 2023 and 2024, so check what happened since.## Satellite communications and power (space weather)
This is the strongest case for hard advance notice. The DSCOVR satellite sits at the L1 point, about a million miles from Earth, and typically gives 15 to 60 minutes of warning before a coronal mass ejection reaches Earth. The warning matters for power grids, telecommunications, aviation and GPS.
There is a gap, though. According to NOAA’s forecasters, we predict CME arrival times quite well, but have limited skill forecasting intensity, because the magnetic orientation that decides severity is only known when the CME passes L1. The ESA’s space weather chief says the ideal is about two days’ warning to prepare grids, and we aren’t there yet.
## Electricity from storms
Weather-driven outage models, mostly machine learning on top of weather forecasts, give useful days-ahead guidance for crew staging. Forecast lead time substantially affects their accuracy, since weather forecast errors grow with lead time and carry into the outage predictions. Treat vendor accuracy claims as marketing until they are independently tested.
## Supply shortage and destruction
I didn’t find a rigorously validated tool here. Most of what exists is monitoring and mapping, such as tracking suppliers and shipments. That is not the same as demonstrated forecasting skill.
## The ones from our list
Critical slowing down, the “tipping point” early warning, is the most disappointing on track record. A broad review found that most early warnings performed positively in detecting tipping points in the case studies reviewed, but false positives and false negatives are both real problems. A 2026 expert workshop concluded that statistical early warning signals are not yet fit for purpose in real-world application for the AMOC.
## Pattern
The tools that work either measure a physical cause upstream (L1 solar wind) or track a slow-building imbalance that has repeatedly come before crises (credit and debt gaps). Tools that try to pinpoint the moment of a cascade mostly don’t work, which fits the chaos picture in your doc.

ParticipantThe swing this week, was driven by AI stocks more than by politics.
**Wednesday, Nov 4:** Stocks rallied after Democrats won both chambers of Congress, as investors embraced the prospect of divided government. Futures initially fell Tuesday night, then reversed as investors welcomed the certainty of decisive results. The Dow jumped about 3% and the S&P 500 gained 1.58%.
**Thursday, Nov 5:** Stocks plummeted, erasing the gains, as investors accelerated their move away from tech on fears of a data-center buildout slowdown. The S&P 500 dropped 4.36% and the Nasdaq fell 5.52%. Reuters reported the chip index had its second-biggest fall on record, and some $2 trillion was wiped off the Nasdaq’s market cap. A total loss near your $3 trillion figure across the whole market is plausible given those percentages.
## The message
1. **The first reaction was the wrong read.** Reuters described investors reassessing their initial, benign reaction to the Democratic sweep, then unleashing a tech fire sale. The market first priced the clarity and then repriced what the results might mean for AI infrastructure. That’s hindsight-proof evidence that the initial move was a guess.
2. **The election was a trigger, not the cause.** Reports cited worries about a backlash against the data-center industry after votes in several states, and institutions dumping 2026’s top performers to lock in gains. That’s a crowded trade unwinding, which is the cascade and herd-behavior side of your doc.
3. **Concentration amplifies everything.** A 1% move in Nvidia affects the S&P 500 more than a 1% move in nearly any other US stock, and roughly two out of every five S&P stocks actually rose Thursday. So the headline index fell far more than the typical stock.
4. **It’s a regime-shift candidate, not a verdict.** A Nasdaq correction and a historic chip drop are classic stress signals, but as the research showed, single-day volatility produces false alarms as often as real ones. For perspective, the S&P 500 has posted gains in the 12 months after midterms 95% of the time since 1938, but that base rate says nothing about what Friday brings, and this week’s story is mostly about AI valuations rather than the election itself.

ParticipantAsian markets
Yes, it’s a continuation of the same story, but that’s not independent confirmation of what comes next.**What Asia did.** The Asian selloff came in two waves. On Thursday, before Wall Street’s rout, the KOSPI fell 5.28%, Taiwan’s Taiex 3.20% and the Nikkei 1.79%. Then on Friday the KOSPI fell more than 8% to trigger a circuit breaker, the Nikkei slumped 6%, and Taiwan was down more than 8%, with TSMC down 8.5%.
**Why it’s a continuation.** Asia is the hardware end of the AI trade. Market participants see chipmakers and data-center equipment suppliers in South Korea, Taiwan and Japan as especially vulnerable, and the drivers cited are the same ones as in the US: fear of increased regulatory scrutiny and a slowdown in the AI build-out. So it’s transmission of one shock through one supply chain, not a second, separate warning. Concentration shows up here too: about 70% of foreign net selling on the KOSPI was in just Samsung and SK hynix.
**What it does and doesn’t tell you.**
– **Stress is real.** Circuit breakers and a second consecutive heavy down day suggest forced selling and thin liquidity, not just a calm repricing.
– **Direction after that is not known.** Analysts are split on how long this lasts. Some argue political pushback could let air out of an AI bubble without popping it. Others warn it could trigger a more prolonged liquidation in AI stocks.
– **Past Asian crashes can reverse fast.** The August 2024 Asia rout was bigger than this one, with the Nikkei down over 12% and the KOSPI down 8.8%. As far as I know, markets recovered much of it within days, but the setup then (a yen-driven unwind) differs from now, so it’s weak evidence either way.**What would signal real continuation:**
– Selling spreads beyond chips and data-center names into the broad market, since so far roughly two out of every five S&P 500 stocks actually rose Thursday even as the index fell.
– Volatility stays high instead of fading.
– Credit markets, bank stocks, and funding costs start showing stress, the cascade side of your list.
– US chip stocks fail to stabilize at the next open.November 6, 2026 at 2:43 am #255077zerosum
ParticipantIs this Market volatility unusual
Yes, it’s unusual by recent standards, but it isn’t historically extreme.
## What is unusual
– **Size.** The S&P 500 fell 4.4%, its worst day since the April 2025 “Liberation Day” tariffs. The Nasdaq’s 5.5% drop is also its worst since then, so this is the worst day in roughly 19 months.
– **Chips.** The Philadelphia chip index fell 12%, the second-biggest fall on record.
– **The reversal.** The best post-midterm rally in 44 years lasted one day before $3 trillion vanished. A whipsaw that sharp is itself rare.
– **Asia.** The KOSPI hit a circuit breaker, and Taiwan was down more than 8%. Taiwan’s last comparable drop was August 2024, when its index fell 8.4%, the worst selloff since 1967.
– **Volatility.** The VIX rose more than 11 points between its intraday low and high on November 5, its largest one-day move since April 9.## What is not unusual
– **It’s not crisis-level.** As far as I know, the S&P 500 fell about 20% in a day in 1987, around 12% in March 2020, and about 9% in October 2008. A 4.4% drop is large but a fraction of those. A VIX near 28 is above its long-term average of about 20, but well below the 50-plus readings of past panics.
– **Single days are weak evidence.** Big down days cluster in crises, but they also happen in volatile stretches that fade, like April 2025.## The pattern to notice
Volatility clusters: large moves tend to be followed by large moves in both directions, even when the trend isn’t changing. So expect more big swings in the coming days, up and down. That tells you the market is unstable right now, not which way it ends up, which is the same limit we found in the early warning research: the signals say stress is present but not what happens next.
