Oh heavens yes, that’s why I gave the disclaimer. Just all climate news is always bad, every day. Now it’s filling and crickets. Is that not good? Should be mentioned? Or only a year from now when the Oroville Dam cracks is it worth noting?

That’s the problem with the drought list given as well, or even the “Died suddenly” list: compared to what? Is it normal floods that normally happen, or is it statistically out of range? The single story doesn’t and can’t tell us.

The most relevant question every (wannabe) philosopher should ask himself (and submit for others’ consideration) is, IMHO:
Is the Universe perfect, or is it a work-in-progress?

Once one finds the answer – or, in the very least, one feels comfortable enough with one of the options – everything falls into place.

    @Dr.D.Rich: The vaccination-refusniks are a specific think-for-yourself AND act-accordingly demographic.
Flattering this demographic may precede what?
We-the-refusniks revealed ourselves to be enough to thwart a genocidal wave in some places.
We’ll need to be incorporated into the next plan, right? Or eliminated, somehow…

Lake Mead has many creeks (some subsurface) that add water continuously. At this time of year a large segment of the agricultural lands has stopped using water because their crops have been harvested and they will not replant until next season. This happen everywhere, even on my property. I monitor my depth to water on my well every month and around September or so the water level starts rising even though there has not been rain to recharge. This is the direct result of hundreds of ag wells in my area going mostly dormant. The “recharge” is just the water table “relaxation” that slowly bring surrounding water into the area because the months of aquifer pumping has temporarily “depressed” the water table in this area. This is probably what the rebound is in lake Mead, or something akin to it. If the level is rising without rain then they are drawing less water from the lake than is entering it.

From Tom Murphy’s Do The Math site Limits To Growth an article he penned for Nature Physics this excerpt from his Share link.

The Limits to Growth does not address economic growth explicitly. The models tracked physical measures and not money. The discussion of equilibrium conditions towards the end of the report does imply a halt to conventional economic growth, but without elucidating why this must be so. This Comment presents an argument for how limits in the physical domain ultimately force limits on economic growth as we know it. In brief, inelastic demand for critical resources in limited supply will not permit prices for these things to become arbitrarily small, which would be necessary to maintain indefinite economic growth. The implications are profound in a society structured around growth, and the time limit is sooner than many assume.

The totalitarian fascists are taking on the farmers of NZ again. And the farmers are protesting again..

    https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/groundswell-members-to-protest-across-the-country-auckland-motorists-warned-of-disruption/ar-AA139mUF?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=58391c52c58b4bc983d6fb73b017d319

The motto is: We’re not going to take it.

Right across the country, from Amberely to Wairarapa.

The ‘security forces’ tend to be rather more cautious when attacking farmers than they are when attacking women and elderly folk protesting fake vaccines and infringements of laws by the fascists.

No Molotov cocktails yet, though. I guess they will come when the totalitarian fascists raise their level of viciousness against the people they pretend to care about.

Chinese Refiners Are Betting Big On European Fuel Demand (The Europeans are betting even bigger, on China-branded Russian oil, aren’t they?)
China’s oil imports jumped by 2 million barrels per day in September as the country prepared to supply fuel demand growth in Europe.
The EU has an embargo on Russian crude coming into effect in less than two months and then an embargo on fuels two months after that.

The blasts that ripped through the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines last month were likely caused by sabotage, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing German officials familiar with the investigation. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO had conducted a military exercise this summer close to the location where the leaks were found.
According to the outlet, while German investigators have so far failed to definitively identify the culprits, they are “working under the assumption that Russia was behind the blasts.” Moscow has repeatedly denied that it had anything to do with the incident.
..According to Germany’s Interior Ministry, Sweden rejected a plan to set up a joint investigation team with Berlin and Denmark. Stockholm argued that its own findings are too sensitive to share even with other EU member states, Reuters reported.
All three nations have said they will not grant access to the investigation to Russia. This prompted Moscow to summon the German, Danish, and Swedish envoys, while declaring that it would not recognize the results of the probe unless Russian experts are invited to take part. (RT)

It’s strange that I can post SOME things but not others. I posted a short post yesterday and another one today, went through fine. Tried a longer post and nope. The other day I tried a few suspect expressions and got stopped. Tried the long post again today, stopped again. Long-ish but I thought innocuous. So I pondered what could possibly be the matter

One thing I talked about was – a color commonly interpreted as the absence of light. Describing a record of specific people. In the context of not being able to get jjxjerbbbs. With my own personal account of what I am seeing. Let’s see if this goes through or not.

hm. Interesting. I am posting nothing weird, offensive, no swear words, nothing illegal, etc. Whenever I try a short or long post referring to the color which is the absence of light, a bunch of people viewable in a linear fashion, and doing things to get money, even just those specific key words or terms BY THEMSELVES, screen loads to no new post. Very very strange.

Why did people reject the vaccine? I think the most solid people are the Trump supporters who rejected Trump’s attempts to sell the vaccine and called him out on it. That is true independent thinking when your social group – already being persecuted by government – is being led one way yet you still decide to go the other way. This is what differentiates the majority of the anti-vax crowd, they are intelligent, self confident and brave enough to reject the pressures of society to do what they think is best. The vaxxed crowd may have two of these attributes, but without all three they will usually fail the test. Of course, some people love being rejected by society, that is where they feel most comfortable, they would reject the vax regardless. This is not about heroes, this is about the fact that people differ and those differences are important to the survival of humans.

US Strategic Oil Reserve blather is strong at this time. Basic geology question if you will. If we pump out all the oil for votes do the salt caverns collapse and need repair? I do understand the “solution mining” camp, but fresh water is becoming quite dear. Thank you.
P.S. I think the strategic oil reserve was a good idea at the time. Control of same should have been the bailiwick of the DOD and Department of Energy not the D.C. sleazeballs.

“A Color Revolt is underway in Iran”
A lot of folk always think that if there is some kind of pushback or revolution happening anywhere that is entirely originating from and being directly orchestrated by the US/CIA.
Some influence can be brought to bear through social media but it is impossible to bring hundreds of thousands onto the street unless they have a legitimate grievance .
I visited Iran about five years ago and a lot of people were pissed off with the regime and were not afraid to say so .
One man in a shop in the central market of Shiraz actually stood up and called out in a vey loud voice to me and my friend as we walked by ,” This regime no good” , no body around us looked upset or unhappy with his statement , it seemed the majority agreed. We never met any body who spoke good for the regime. Every one who offered an opinion was always against the regime.
We were there for Ashura , the biggest Shia religious celebration of the year. The scene of over one hundred thousand people marching in the parade in Shiraz was immensely impressive , all the women were in full black purda , Persian music’s playing and small skits were being played out in the parade , the men were also dressed in black and were whipping themselves in unison to the drum beats, very moving.
That morning after the parade there were two hundred and fifty thousand people at the central mosque complex , we wanted to go in but we were told to come back later in the afternoon , which we did.
So it would seem that although there is a lot of dissatisfaction with the government there is still a very strong commitment to Islam. Although the demonstrations happening at the moment would seem to indicate otherwise
The anti-head covering protest is most likely happening because it is the most personal and obvious sign of the thuggish regime’s control , I would think that many of the protestors are still deeply religious.
The young people are the most pissed off as they are all so highly educated and yet employment is just no where to be found. The internet there is fairly open so they know how the rest of the world’s young people live , they see the world as just passing them by.

We never saw a sign of the regime goons anywhere at any time.

The people were scrupulously honest , we met young single European girls who were actually couch-surfing through the country and said they never felt any bad vibes and everyone welcomed them into their homes with great respect and love.
When we went to the Vakil Mosque on the day of Ashura we had to leave our backpacks and cameras in a storage facility outside the mosque , photography inside the mosque was banned they said , when we asked about our phones the said without a hint of irony ,
“Phones are ok , you can take photos with your phones”.
We were then usherd through the gates where we stood waiting for our guide to come and escort us. Shortly a young stocky man appeared wearing all the black mullah regalia. He was a very impressive character with piercing eyes and full beard. He walked up to us directly and said in perfect English,
” I represent a terrorist organisation , you are now under arrest you must come with me”.
For a few seconds we were speechless , my mind was a blank, then with a big smile he reached out for our hands saying , ” Only joking”.
It was a very quick visit , we stayed the entire week in Shiraz flying in directly from Abhu Dabhi , we did a day trip out to Persepolis.
I highly recommend the country for travellers.

People seem to be waiting and preparing. What else can be done? I think things will start moving quickly when financial collapse arrives. I noticed someone in the archdruid comments referred to the book The End of The World is Just the Beginning Mapping the Collapse of Globalization by Peter Zeihan which may provide a positive outlook for what is to come. Think I will start reading when things really start to happen. Presently wood remains my top priority. I wish you all the best in these coming days.

Unfortunately, you have used on of the words of empire: ‘alarmist’

Whenever I see that word my bullshit detector rings loudly.

Other key words and phrases of empire are:

    revealed
    urge
    call for
    condemn
    unprovoked attack
    green technology
    sustainable development
    GDP
    financial reserves
    budget surplus
    growth incentives

Whether Brian Berletic is right or wrong about developments in Thailand, the whole corrupt system is clearly on its last legs and will collapse over the coming year, perhaps even the coming months.

Saidi Arabia abandoning the petrodollar in favour of the ruble and yuan was arguably the last straw, the one that breaks the camel’s back.
