ParticipantRousseff is dirty and takes bribes? Her and every other leader in the world. So why is she the only one being aggressively pursued for what all leaders–and all the top echelon in Brazil–were also doing? Call me suspicious, but considering the BRICS are considered the enemy of the Western system, wouldn’t removing Rousseff in favor of someone more “friendly” to western interests be the very first order of business? And if this can be done via soft coup–with the help of worldwide eavesdropping, as we saw in Germany–wouldn’t that work better than hard force like we saw fail in Ukraine–and Libya, and Egypt, and Syria, and…? Don’t be fooled by the headlines. Think like a criminal and protect yourself. Same with VW. They’ve been doing it for years, why now? Like the FIFA thing: investigated for 25 YEARS and only now want to act? Ohio investigating banks? That only took 8 years, was he on vacation or something? Didn’t get the newspaper? Why now?

Participant“the Empire has become extremely silly so silly that I believe it deserves the title of the World’s Silliest Empire.”
Yes, there are silly entities here. But- one of the very silliest is Orlov. He paints himself as an outside wise philosopher, revealing Truth – but –
He keeps ranting because the Empire does not work or respond to logical principles or analyses.
Um. Duh. Empires do not, never have, worked on logical principles, particularly not on principles aimed at increasing human or world well-being. No Empire, ever, anywhere, including the USA in 1776.
Reason has nothing to do with the problem; nothing whatever. And as a tool, reason is as useless as expecting a dead rat to function efficiently as a hammer. A rat dead for a week.
Reasonable people need to acknowledge that, once and for all, and move on. What actions can you take, reasonable or entirely otherwise, that might improve things?

ParticipantThe owners know that a profitable pot is a pot that is gradually heated and stirred with increasing frequency. But they are so focused on their “silly”, short-term, immoral, adolescent goals that they cannot see that they exist in a world with limits.
