Another “rare” SCAD story.
Another 41-year-old woman.
Another life changed overnight.
Heather is a 41-year-old nurse and mother of two.
She was volunteering at her children’s elementary school when she suffered a SCAD heart attack.
No warning signs, according to Heather.
Her heart’s ejection fraction dropped to just 15%. Doctors found multiple large blood clots in her heart, and she spent two weeks in intensive care.
And then, just one week later, another emergency.
A clot travelled to her carotid artery.
She had a stroke.
41 years old.
A nurse.
A mother.
At her children’s school.
A SCAD heart attack.
A heart functioning at 15%.
Multiple blood clots.
Then a stroke.
TVASSF – tick … tock …amyloidosis.
